Acetophenone oxime and benzaldehyde oxime were converted to oxime ethers in the presence of alkyl halide or methyl sulfate and KOH in aqueous DMSO in 5 to 70 min. The yields of oxime ethers were 70 - 96%.

The structures of all the compounds prepared were confirmed by 1H NMR and MS spectroscopy as well as elemental analyses. The bioassay data of those compounds against tobacco mosaic virus(TMV), cucumber mosaic virus(CMV), potato virus X(PVX) and potato virus Y(PVY) were presented. Among them compound 6i was found to possess significant plant antiviral activities. But all the compounds showed low insecticidal and acaricidal activities.展开更多

All the compounds were screened for their...Eleven new 1-{5-[4-(benzyloxy)phenyl]-3-methyl-4,5-dihydropyrazol-l-yl} oxime ester dcrivatives were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, HRMS, ^1H NMR data. All the compounds were screened for their antibacterial potential in vitro against Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The results indicate that compounds 8c and 8f possess potent activity with the minimum inhibitory concentrations(MIC) of 1.562--3.125 ug/mL against all the four bacteria. Compounds 8c, 8e and 8f show moderate inhibition against the DNA gyrase(IC50=1.9--2.5 ug/mL). On the basis of the biological activities, structure-activity relationship was discussed.展开更多

Nucleophilic substitution reaction of 1,4-dihydroxy benzene with 4-nitrobenzoyl chloride produced 4-hydroxyphenyl 4-nitrobenzoate (HPNB). Reduction of nitro groups to amino groups using Fe and HC1 resulted in preparation of 4-hydroxyphenyl 4-aminobenzoate (HPAB). The diamine was synthesized through nucleophilic substitution reaction of HPAB with 2,6-dichloropyridine. The precursors and diamine were fully characterized by common methods, and the diamine was polycondensed with different diacid chlorides in the presence of an acid scavenger to prepare new polyamides. The polyamides were characterized, and their physical properties including thermal stability and behavior, inherent viscosity and solubility were studied.展开更多

Practical application of a Si anode in a high-energy-density battery cannot be achieved due to the huge volume expansion of these anodes.Researchers have focused on binders of the anode to restrict volume expansion in...Practical application of a Si anode in a high-energy-density battery cannot be achieved due to the huge volume expansion of these anodes.Researchers have focused on binders of the anode to restrict volume expansion in order to address this issue,as the hydrogen bonds and mechanical properties of binders can be used to enhance adhesion and accommodate the volume changes of a Si anode.Herein,we comprehensively consider binders’hydrogen bonds,mechanical properties,stability,and compatibility with the electrolyte solution,and design an ether-/ester-/fluorine-rich composite polymer,named P(TFEMAco-IBVE).The proposed binder formula possesses outstanding stability,adhesion,and mechanical strength;moreover,it can accommodate the dramatic volume changes of a Si electrode and exhibits excellent electrochemical performance,achieving a high areal capacity of about 5.4 mA·h·cm^(-2).This novel polymer design may be applied to other electrode materials in the next generation of lithium-ion batteries.展开更多
Lithium metal batteries(LMBs)are highly considered as promising candidates for next-generation energy storage systems.However,routine electrolytes cannot tolerate the high potential at cathodes and low potential at an...Lithium metal batteries(LMBs)are highly considered as promising candidates for next-generation energy storage systems.However,routine electrolytes cannot tolerate the high potential at cathodes and low potential at anodes simultaneously,leading to severe interfacial reactions.Herein,a highly concentrated electrolyte(HCE)region trapped in porous carbon coating layer is adopted to form a stable and highly conductive solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)on Li metal surface.The protected Li metal anode can potentially match the high-voltage cathode in ester electrolytes.Synergistically,this ingenious design promises high-voltage-resistant interfaces at cathodes and stable SEI with abundance of inorganic components at anodes simultaneously in high-voltage LMBs.The feasibility of this interface-regulation strategy is demonstrated in Li|LiFePO_(4) batteries,realizing a lifespan twice as long as the routine cells,with a huge capacity retention enhancement from 46.4%to 88.7%after 100 cycles.This contribution proof-ofconcepts the emerging principles on the formation and regulation of stable electrode/electrolyte interfaces in the cathode and anode simultaneously towards the next-generation high-energy-density batteries.展开更多

In addition to an isocyanurate compound and an oxazolidone compound which were well known as reaction products of cyanate esters and epoxy resins, compounds with hybrid ring structure of cyanurate/isocyanurate were determined. Gibbs free energies of the compound having hybrid ring structure of cyanurate/isocyanurate with two isocyanurate moiety were found to be lower than that of the compound with cyanurate ring structure through calculations. Calculation data supported the existence of hybrid ring structure of cy-anurate/isocyanurate. It was revealed that isomerization from cyanurate to isocyanurate occurs via hybrid ring structure of cyanurate/isocyanurate in the reaction of aryl cyanurate and epoxy.展开更多
