Novel 3-D Supramolecular Architectures Constructed from Zn^2+ ions, Oxybis(4-benzoate) and Di(2-pyridyl)amine Ligands

Using the V-shaped oba dianions as bridging ligands and dpa molecules as terminal ligands, a new 1D helical coordination-polymeric chain, [Zn(oba)(dpa)]n [oba=oxybis(4-benzoate), dpa=di(2-pyridyl)amine], was synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analyses, UV-Vis and IR spectra, and TGA analysis. X-ray structural analysis revealed that, oba and dpa ligands played an important role in the self-assembly of the helical chains by providing potential supramolecular recognition sites for π-π aromatic stacking and hydrogen-bond interactions, resulting in the self-assembly of the (4,4) networks to give a 3-D supramolecular framework. The photoluminescence properties of the title compound were also investigated, showing intense blue photoluminescence properties at room temperature. 展开更多

Two Pb^Ⅱ coordination polymers [Pb(oba)(2,2′-bipy)]·1.5H2O(1) and [Pb(oba)(phen)](2)(H2oba = 2,4-oxybis(benzoic acid), 2,2′-bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) were synthesized... Two Pb^Ⅱ coordination polymers [Pb(oba)(2,2′-bipy)]·1.5H2O(1) and [Pb(oba)(phen)](2)(H2oba = 2,4-oxybis(benzoic acid), 2,2′-bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) were synthesized by hydrothermal reactions and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analyses, IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. Structures of compounds 1 and 2 are similar. Compounds 1 and 2 show 1D wavy chains, which are further connected through aromatic π-π stacking interactions to expand into 2D wavelike networks. The crystal structure of 2,4-oxybis(benzoic acid) ligand(3) was obtained, and its full geometry optimization was carried out by using DFT methods at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level. The calculated data show that the bond distances and bond angles were very close to the experimental data. The values of the frontier orbital energies indicate that this configuration is stable. Moreover, the solid-state fluorescence properties of 1-3 have also been investigated. 展开更多

A new energetic complex, Ni(3,4'-Hbpt)2(Hoba)2(H20)2 (3,4'-Hbpt = 3-(3-pyridyl)- 5-(4'-pyridyl)-l-H-l,2,4-triazole and H2oba = 4,4'-oxybis(benzoic acid)), has been synthesized by hydrothermal reaction and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analyses and X-ray powder diffraction. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis indicates that the complex belongs to the monoclinic system, space group P2j/c with a = 10.2357(9), b = 24.594(2), c = 10.4225(9)/k, β = 114.0110(10)°, V = 2396.7(4) A3, Dc = 1.460 g/cm3,μ = 0.482 mm-1, Mr = 1053.63, F(000) = 1088, Z = 2, the final R = 0.0358 and wR = 0.0973 with I 〉 2σ(I). Both 3,4'-Hbpt and H2oba ligands adopt monodentate modes linking one Ni(II) ion to form a 0D motif. Furthermore, the 0D motifs are linked into a 3D supramolecular architecture with hydrogen bonds. In addition, the catalytic performance for thermal decomposition of the efficacy of ammonium perchlorate (AP) is explored by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), which indicates that the complex is a good candidate for a promoter of the thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate. 展开更多

A series of copolyesters poly(ethylene terephthalate p-oxybenzoate) (PETO) de-rived from terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol and 4, 4’ -oxybis (benzoic acid) were easily pre-pared by using DMT method and thermally investigated. Introduction of 4, 4’ -oxydipheny-lene group into the main chain resulted in a lowering of Tm. a decrease of crystallization rate and an increase of thermal-oxidative stability of the copolyesters. By static elongation of PETO, transparent films with qualified electrical properties and mechanical properties were easily obtained with film forming rate 100%. In comparison with poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) film, PETO film had obviously low Tm. and low crystallization temper-ature. Due to the presence of stable aromatic ether structure, decrease in Tm. could not lead to any reduction in thermal-oxidative stability, on the contrary, slight increase was ob-served. PETO film could be used in making heat resistant thick film for channel insulators of electric motor. 展开更多
