Electrical conductivity of the order of 105Ω-1.m-1 and the optical transmission as high as 94% are easily attained by postdeposition annealing treatment. The effects of oxygen concentration in the reactive gas mixture and post-deposition annealing treatment on the optical transmittance as well as optical parameters, such as refractive index (n), extinction coefficient (k), real part (ε') and imaginary part (ε') of the dielectric constant, were studied in the visible and near-infrared region. The highfrequency dielectric constant ε∞ the plasma frequency ωP, and the conduction band effective mass mc of different samples were also investigated展开更多

The porous and oxygen sensing TiO2 films were obtained by the addition of polyethylene glycol (PEG). The micrographs of scanning electron microscope (SEM) show that the pores of the sample about 400-600 nm in size with PEG(2 000 g/mol) are larger than those about 300 nm in size with PEG( 1 000 g/mol), while the density of pores is lower. The results also indicate that increasing the content of PEG properly is beneficial to the formation of porous structure. With the increasing content of PEG from 0 g to 2.5 g, the oxygen sensitivity increases from 330 to more than 1 000 at 800 ℃, from 170 to more than 1 000 at 900℃, and the response time to O2 and H2 are about 1.5 s and less than 1s, respectively.展开更多

The highest temperatures at which the samples were calcined were 973, 1073, 1273, and 1473 K. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses indicate that all the samples have only a single phase with the R3c perovskite structure. As the calcination temperature and calcination time increase, the oxygen content in the samples increases from being deficient to being in excess of that in the stoichiometric formula. The crystallite size also increases from 23 to 283 nm. Magnetic measurements indicate that the sample calcined at 1073 K has the highest Curie temperature. This is owing to the fact that the crystallite cores of this sample have stoichiometric oxygen content. The dependence of the Curie temperature and the saturation magnetization on the calcination tem- perature are successfully explained.展开更多

The Nd Sr2Mn2O7+δ samples were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction(XRD). Oxygen non-stoichiometry data for the studied powders were determined by using gravimetric and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) methods. The correlation of cooling method and oxygen as non-stoichiometry was established. The electroconductivity in samples was studied by using four-point probe method, and the strong correlation with non-stoichiometry was found out. Magnetization measurements were carried out. It was found that the magnetic and transport properties of the samples were also influenced by oxygen non-stoichiometry. The evolution of the magnetic properties could be explained by the formation of magnetic clusters in the vicinity of oxygen vacancies(OV) and strong competition between the superexchange and double exchange interactions.展开更多
