Groundwater is an important source of drinking water.Groundwater pollution severely endangers drinking water safety and sustainable social development.In the case of groundwater pollution,the top priority is to identi...Groundwater is an important source of drinking water.Groundwater pollution severely endangers drinking water safety and sustainable social development.In the case of groundwater pollution,the top priority is to identify pollution sources,and accurate information on pollution sources is the premise of efficient remediation.Then,an appropriate pollution remediation scheme should be developed according to information on pollution sources,site conditions,and economic costs.The methods for identifying pollution sources mainly include geophysical exploration,geochemistry,isotopic tracing,and numerical modeling.Among these identification methods,only the numerical modeling can recognize various information on pollution sources,while other methods can only identify a certain aspect of pollution sources.The remediation technologies of groundwater can be divided into in-situ and ex-situ remediation technologies according to the remediation location.The in-situ remediation technologies enjoy low costs and a wide remediation range,but their remediation performance is prone to be affected by environmental conditions and cause secondary pollution.The ex-situ remediation technologies boast high remediation efficiency,high processing capacity,and high treatment concentration but suffer high costs.Different methods for pollution source identification and remediation technologies are applicable to different conditions.To achieve the expected identification and remediation results,it is feasible to combine several methods and technologies according to the actual hydrogeological conditions of contaminated sites and the nature of pollutants.Additionally,detailed knowledge about the hydrogeological conditions and stratigraphic structure of the contaminated site is the basis of all work regardless of the adopted identification methods or remediation technologies.展开更多

The steady fusion plasma operation is constrained by tungsten(W)material sputtering issue in the EAST tokamak.In this work,the suppression of W sputtering source has been studied by advanced wall conditionings.It is a...The steady fusion plasma operation is constrained by tungsten(W)material sputtering issue in the EAST tokamak.In this work,the suppression of W sputtering source has been studied by advanced wall conditionings.It is also concluded that the W sputtering yield becomes more with increasing carbon(C)content in the main deuterium(D)plasma.In EAST,the integrated use of discharge cleanings and lithium(Li)coating has positive effects on the suppression of W sputtering source.In the plasma recovery experiments,it is suggested that the W intensity is reduced by approximately 60%with the help of~35 h Ion Cyclotron Radio Frequency Discharge Cleaning(ICRF-DC)and~40 g Li coating after vacuum failure.The first wall covered by Li film could be relieved from the bombardment of energetic particles,and the impurity in the vessel would be removed through the particle induced desorption and isotope exchange during the discharge cleanings.In general,the sputtering yield of W would decrease from the source,on the bias of the improvement of wall condition and the mitigation of plasmawall interaction process.It lays important base of the achievement of high-parameter and longpulse plasma operation in EAST.The experiences also would be constructive for us to promote the understanding of relevant physics and basis towards the ITER-like condition.展开更多

It is 400km in length from east to west, and 30~50km in width from north to south. The basin is mainly made up of marine Mesozoic and Lower Cenozoic, i.e., Jurassic, Cretaceous, and Lower Tertiary. Its total strata are more than 3100m in thickness. The passive continental margin of the India plate developed during Jurassic—Cretaceous after a Triassic rifting stage. Collision took place between the India and the Eurasian plate during the latest Cretaceous and earliest Tertiary (Liu and Einsele, 1994), which resulted in a Tertiary residual basin.The Jurassic stratigraphic system in the Gamba—Tingri basin were not carried out until recently (Wan et al., 1999), which is divided into three formations, i.e.., Pupuga Fm., Nieniexiongla Fm., and Menkadun Fm.. The Cretaceous and Tertiary stratigraphic system is after Wan (1985) and Xu et al.(1990), which the Cretaceous is divided into six formations: Dongsan Fm., Chaqiela Fm., Lengqingle Fm., Xiawuchubo Fm., Jiubao Fm., and Zongshan Fm, whereas the Tertiary is divided into Jiabula Fm. Statistic analyses of sectional focal depth frequency relation for 1739 M S≥4.0 events in North China, 541 M S≥4.0 events in Xingtai seismic region and 999 M S≥4.0 events in Tangshan seismic region ...Statistic analyses of sectional focal depth frequency relation for 1739 M S≥4.0 events in North China, 541 M S≥4.0 events in Xingtai seismic region and 999 M S≥4.0 events in Tangshan seismic region have been carried out for the first step of the study. Then the sectional focal depth frequency diagrams (H N diagram) for each region were obtained. The study shows that: (1) The intraplate earthquakes in North China occur within the continental crust, and are mainly concentrated within a certain depth range of the middle and upper crust, making up a seismic source layer; (2) The seismic source layer consists of a main layer and an auxiliary layer adjacent to it. The tops and bottoms of the main and auxiliary layers correspond to the G and C, as well as to B and G geologic boundaries respectively; (3) The H N diagrams for Xingtai and Tangshan seismic regions are significantly different from each other, indicating the regionality and localization of the seismic source layers; (4) DSS and MTS observations show that the regionality and localization of the seismic source layer depend mainly on the environment of the deep structures of the region; (5) The seismic source layer is a substance of medium layer, which can be related to the brittle ductile transition zone within the crust. The seismic source layer is also a stress conducting layer. As the media above and below this layer are subjected to failure or flowage, then the stress will concentrate in the stress conducting layer, in which the earthquake occurs.展开更多

A longitudinal dispersion along unsteady groundwater flow in homogeneous and finite aquifer is considered which is initially solute free that is, aquifer is supposed to be clean. The constant source concentration in intermediate portion of the aquifer system is considered with pulse type boundary condition and at the other end of the aquifer, concentration gradient is supposed to be zero. The Laplace Transformation Technique (LTT) is used to obtain the analytical solution of the formulated solute transport model with suitable initial and boundary conditions. The time varying velocities are considered. Analytical solutions are perhaps most useful for benchmarking the numerical codes and models. It may be used as the preliminary predictive tools for groundwater management.展开更多

Contact temperature measureme...Increasing performance parameters of hard disk drive (HDD) such as higher capacity and faster data access speed with decreasing physical size make HDD more susceptible to thermal effects. Contact temperature measurement using thermocouple is not suitable for the rotating platter of HDD. Heat analysis using simulation software requires accurate initial parameter setting such as thermal (initial & boundary) conditions of certain regions. Temperature measurement using infrared (IR) system avoids these limitations;it is non-contact, responsive and does not require initial parameter setting. Thermal pattern distribution can be studied from the thermal images. However, emissivity of the target has to be known and calibration of the system is essential for accurate temperature reading. This paper showed that temperature within the HDD increases with ambient temperature and time, but the thermal distribution pattern in the HDD was not affected by different ambient temperatures. Three wall boundary conditions were conducted to study the thermal distribution pattern in the HDD. A solution was then proposed based on the results obtained from the experiments to improve the heat transfer rate and steady state temperature, and reduce the detrimental effects from high thermal generation in future prototypes. Another important finding was that the averaged temperature of the head cap was generally higher compared to that of the disk, as the spindle motor is the primary heat source within the HDD. Heat source analysis of HDD with IR system allows designers to have better visibility of the temperature generated in different components of the HDD. Proper cooling may enhance disk life as well as ensure the stability and integrity of the system.展开更多

Case study shows that the result for selecting AC cold/heat sources with the GRA method can be more reasonable and convincible. Hydrocarbon resources in the Qiongdongnan Basin have become an important exploration target in China.However,the development of high-quality source rocks in this basin,especially in its deep-water areas,are still not ...Hydrocarbon resources in the Qiongdongnan Basin have become an important exploration target in China.However,the development of high-quality source rocks in this basin,especially in its deep-water areas,are still not fully understood.In this study,evolutions of sedimentary facies and palaeoenvironment and their influences on the development of source rocks in diverse tectonic regions of the Qiongdongnan Basin were investigated.The results show that during the Oligocene and to Miocene periods,the sedimentary environment of this basin progressively varied from a semi-closed gulf to an open marine environment,which resulted in significant differences in palaeoenvironmental conditions of the water column for various tectonic regions of the basin.In shallow-water areas,the palaeoproductivity and reducibility successively decrease,and the hydrodynamic intensity gradually increases for the water columns of the Yacheng,Lingshui,and Sanya-Meishan strata.In deep-water areas,the water column of the Yacheng and Lingshui strata has a higher palaeoproductivity and a weaker hydrodynamic intensity than that of the Sanya-Meishan strata,while the reducibility gradually increases for the water columns of the Yacheng,Lingshui,and Sanya-Meishan strata.In general,the palaeoenvironmental conditions of the water column are the most favorable to the development of the Yacheng organic-rich source rocks.Meanwhile,the Miocene marine source rocks in the deep-water areas of the Qiongdongnan Basin may also have a certain hydrocarbon potential.The differences in the development models of source rocks in various tectonic regions of continental margin basins should be fully evaluated in the exploration and development of hydrocarbons.展开更多
Groundwater contamination source identification(GCSI)is a prerequisite for contamination risk evaluation and efficient groundwater contamination remediation programs.The boundary condition generally is set as known va...Groundwater contamination source identification(GCSI)is a prerequisite for contamination risk evaluation and efficient groundwater contamination remediation programs.The boundary condition generally is set as known variables in previous GCSI studies.However,in many practical cases,the boundary condition is complicated and cannot be estimated accurately in advance.Setting the boundary condition as known variables may seriously deviate from the actual situation and lead to distorted identification results.And the results of GCSI are affected by multiple factors,including contaminant source information,model parameters,boundary condition,etc.Therefore,if the boundary condition is not estimated accurately,other factors will also be estimated inaccurately.This study focuses on the unknown boundary condition and proposed to identify three types of unknown variables(contaminant source information,model parameters and boundary condition)innovatively.When simulation-optimization(S-O)method is applied to GCSI,the huge computational load is usually reduced by building surrogate models.However,when building surrogate models,the researchers need to select the models and optimize the hyperparameters to make the model powerful,which can be a lengthy process.The automated machine learning(AutoML)method was used to build surrogate model,which automates the model selection and hyperparameter optimization in machine learning engineering,largely reducing human operations and saving time.The accuracy of AutoML surrogate model is compared with the surrogate model used in eXtreme Gradient Boosting method(XGBoost),random forest method(RF),extra trees regressor method(ETR)and elasticnet method(EN)respectively,which are automatically selected in AutoML engineering.The results show that the surrogate model constructed by AutoML method has the best accuracy compared with the other four methods.This study provides reliable and strong support for GCSI.展开更多

[Method] The feasibility of using sewage to cultivate Na...[ Objective] This study was to improve the biomass of Navicula tenera, and thus to provide reference for achieving the industrial production of Navicula tenera. [Method] The feasibility of using sewage to cultivate Navicula tenera was preliminarily investigated based on the consideration of regional characteristics; and a series of culture conditions including the nutrient source of nitrogen(N), phosphorus(P), iron(Fe), silicon( Si ) and the salinity in medium for culturing Navicula tenera, were optimized by single factor test and orthogonal design.[Result] The optimized conditions for cultivating Navicula tenera using sewage are as follows: the water from Xiaoerlou Artificial Lake of Nanjing University of Technology as basic solvent; 360 mg/L urea; 150 mg/L N2HPO4 · 12H2O; 50 mg/L ferric citrate; 2 000 mg/L Na2SiO3 · 9H2O; 2.0 mol/L salinity. Navicula tenera was strongly adaptive to sewage and could well uptake the nutrient sources in the sewage. Under the optimized conditions, the culture cost decreased, and meanwhile the biomass of Navicula tenera reached 4. 766 g/L which is 3.57 multiples over original medium and 1.9 multiples over optimized medium No. 1.[ Conclusion] This study laid a foundation for the combination of culturing Navicula tenera in large scale and sewage treatment.展开更多
Coals developed in the Oligocene Yacheng and Lingshui formations in the Qiongdongnan Basin have high organic matter abundance, and the dark mudstones in the two formations have reached a good source rock standard but ...Coals developed in the Oligocene Yacheng and Lingshui formations in the Qiongdongnan Basin have high organic matter abundance, and the dark mudstones in the two formations have reached a good source rock standard but with strong heterogeneity. Through the analysis of trace elements, organic macerals and biomarkers, it is indicated that plankton has made little contribution to Oligocene source rocks compared with the terrestrial higher plants. The organic matter preservation depends on hydrodynamics and the redox environment, and the former is the major factor in the study area. During the sedimentary period of the Yacheng Formation, tidal flats were developed in the central uplift zone, where the hydrodynamic conditions were weak and the input of terrestrial organic matter was abundant. So the Yacheng Salient of the central uplift zone is the most favorable area for the development of source rocks, followed by the central depression zone. During the sedimentary period of the Lingshui Formation, the organic matter input was sufficient in the central depression zone due to multiple sources of sediments. The semi-enclosed environment was favorable for organic matter accumulation, so high quality source rocks could be easily formed in this area, followed by the Yacheng salient of central uplift zone. Source rocks were less developed in the northern depression zone owing to poor preservation conditions,展开更多

However, in some d...Drilling wells reveal that the organic matter abundance of Miocene marine source rocks in shallow water area of the Qiongdongnan Basin is relatively low with poor hydrocarbon generation poten- tial. However, in some drilling wells of deep water area close to the central depression belt, Miocene marine source rocks with better organic matter abundance and hydrocarbon generation have been found, which have achieved better source rock standard based on the analysis of geochemical charac- teristics. Although there are no exploratory wells in deep water area of the research region, through the comparative analysis of geochemical data of several typical exploratory wells respectively from shallow water area in the basin, central depression belt margin in deep-water area of the basin and Site 1148 of deep sea drilling in the South China Sea Basin, it reveals that the tendency of the quality of source rocks becomes positive gradually from delta to bathyal environment, which then becomes negative as in deep oceanic environment. Owing to the lack of terrestrial organic matter input, the important controlling factors of Miocene marine source rocks in the Qiongdongnan Basin are ocean productivity and preservation conditions of organic matter. The element geochemistry data indicate that the tendency of the paleoproductivity and the preservation conditions of organic matter become positive as water depth increase from shallow area to bathyal area close to central depression belt. So it is speculated that there must exist high quality source rocks in the central depression area where the preservation conditions of organic matter are much better. Besides, in theory, in oxygen-poor zone of oceanic environment at the water depth 400–1 000 m, the preservation conditions of organic matter are well thus forming high-quality marine source rocks. The result- ing speculation, it is reasonable to consider that there are high hydrocarbon generation potential source rocks in bathyal environment of the Qiongdongnan Basin, especially at the water depth 400– 1 000 m.展开更多

This was achieved through the examination of frequency content estimated by different methods ba...This paper aimed to examine the site dependence and evaluate the methods for site analysis of far-source ground motions. This was achieved through the examination of frequency content estimated by different methods based on strong ground motions recorded at twelve far-source stations in Shandong province during the Wenchuan earthquake. The stations were located in sites with soil profiles ranging from code classes Ⅰ to Ⅲ. Approaches used included the Fourier amplitude spectrum (FAS), the earthquake response spectrum (ERS), the spectral ratio between the horizontal and the vertical components (H/V), the spectral ratio between the spectra at the site and at a reference site (SRRS), and coda wave analysis (CWA). Results showed that major periods of these ground motions obtained by FAS, ERS and H/V ratio methods were all evidently larger than site dominant periods; the periods were also different from each other and mainly reflected the frequency content of long period components. Prominent periods obtained by the SRRS approach neither illuminated the long period aspect nor efficiently determined site features of the motions. The CWA resulted in a period close to site period for stations with good quality recordings. The results obtained in this study will be useful for the evaluation of far-source effect in constructing seismic design spectra and in selecting methods for ground motion site analysis.展开更多

Such calculations r...Recent progress in calculating gas bubble sizes in a plume, based on phenomenological approaches using the release conditions is a significant improvement to make the gas plume models self-reliant. Such calculations require details of conditions Near the Source of Plume (NSP); (i.e. the plume/jet velocity and radius near the source), which inspired the present work. Determining NSP conditions for gas plumes are far more complex than that for oil plumes due to the substantial density difference between gas and water. To calculate NSP conditions, modeling the early stage of the plume is important. A novel method of modeling the early stage of an underwater gas release is presented here. Major impact of the present work is to define the correct NSP conditions for underwater gas releases, which is not possible with available methods as those techniques are not based on the physics of flow region near the source of the plume/jet. We introduce super Gaussian profiles to model the density and velocity variations of the early stages of plume, coupled with the laws of fluid mechanics to define profile parameters. This new approach, models the velocity profile variation from near uniform, across the section at the release point to Gaussian some distance away. The comparisons show that experimental data agrees well with the computations.展开更多

Two distinct optimized array configurations are designed under the certain conditions. Furthermore, an acoustic imaging equipment is developed to carry out experiments on transformer substation equipment and wind turbine generator, which demonstrate that the acoustic imaging system allows a high resolution in identifying main noise sources for noise reduction and abnormal noise sources for condition monitoring.展开更多
In geodesy and geophysics,many large-scale over-determined linear equations need to be solved which are often ill-conditioned.When the conjugate gradient method is used,their ill-conditioning effects to the solutions ...In geodesy and geophysics,many large-scale over-determined linear equations need to be solved which are often ill-conditioned.When the conjugate gradient method is used,their ill-conditioning effects to the solutions must be overcome,which is studied in this paper.Through the regularization ideas,the conjugate gradient method is improved,and the regularization iterative solution based on controlling condition number is put forward.Firstly by constructing the interference source vector,a new equation is derived with ill-condition diminished greatly,which has the same solution to the original normal equation.Then the new equation is solved by conjugate gradient method.Finally the effectiveness of the new method is verified by some numerical experiments of airborne gravity downward to the earth surface.In the numerical experiments the new method is compared with LS,CG and Tikhonov methods,and its accuracy is the highest.展开更多

文摘The steady fusion plasma operation is constrained by tungsten(W)material sputtering issue in the EAST tokamak.In this work,the suppression of W sputtering source has been studied by advanced wall conditionings.It is also concluded that the W sputtering yield becomes more with increasing carbon(C)content in the main deuterium(D)plasma.In EAST,the integrated use of discharge cleanings and lithium(Li)coating has positive effects on the suppression of W sputtering source.In the plasma recovery experiments,it is suggested that the W intensity is reduced by approximately 60%with the help of~35 h Ion Cyclotron Radio Frequency Discharge Cleaning(ICRF-DC)and~40 g Li coating after vacuum failure.The first wall covered by Li film could be relieved from the bombardment of energetic particles,and the impurity in the vessel would be removed through the particle induced desorption and isotope exchange during the discharge cleanings.In general,the sputtering yield of W would decrease from the source,on the bias of the improvement of wall condition and the mitigation of plasmawall interaction process.It lays important base of the achievement of high-parameter and longpulse plasma operation in EAST.The experiences also would be constructive for us to promote the understanding of relevant physics and basis towards the ITER-like condition.

文摘Under unbalanced source voltage supply, considerable output second harmonics and input low-order harmonics in 3-phase PWM current-source converters (PWM-CSC) are generated. This paper proposes a new deadbeat controller based on compensation for unbalanced source voltage and current. With the proposed scheme, the second harmonics of the output current are eliminated and low-order harmonics of the source current are reduced effectively. Simulation and experimental results con- firmed the feasibility of the proposed method.
文摘The Gamba—Tingri basin lies in south Tethys Himalaya subzone. It is 400km in length from east to west, and 30~50km in width from north to south. The basin is mainly made up of marine Mesozoic and Lower Cenozoic, i.e., Jurassic, Cretaceous, and Lower Tertiary. Its total strata are more than 3100m in thickness. The passive continental margin of the India plate developed during Jurassic—Cretaceous after a Triassic rifting stage. Collision took place between the India and the Eurasian plate during the latest Cretaceous and earliest Tertiary (Liu and Einsele, 1994), which resulted in a Tertiary residual basin.The Jurassic stratigraphic system in the Gamba—Tingri basin were not carried out until recently (Wan et al., 1999), which is divided into three formations, i.e.., Pupuga Fm., Nieniexiongla Fm., and Menkadun Fm.. The Cretaceous and Tertiary stratigraphic system is after Wan (1985) and Xu et al.(1990), which the Cretaceous is divided into six formations: Dongsan Fm., Chaqiela Fm., Lengqingle Fm., Xiawuchubo Fm., Jiubao Fm., and Zongshan Fm, whereas the Tertiary is divided into Jiabula Fm. Zongpu Fm., and Zhepure Fm.
文摘Statistic analyses of sectional focal depth frequency relation for 1739 M S≥4.0 events in North China, 541 M S≥4.0 events in Xingtai seismic region and 999 M S≥4.0 events in Tangshan seismic region have been carried out for the first step of the study. Then the sectional focal depth frequency diagrams (H N diagram) for each region were obtained. The study shows that: (1) The intraplate earthquakes in North China occur within the continental crust, and are mainly concentrated within a certain depth range of the middle and upper crust, making up a seismic source layer; (2) The seismic source layer consists of a main layer and an auxiliary layer adjacent to it. The tops and bottoms of the main and auxiliary layers correspond to the G and C, as well as to B and G geologic boundaries respectively; (3) The H N diagrams for Xingtai and Tangshan seismic regions are significantly different from each other, indicating the regionality and localization of the seismic source layers; (4) DSS and MTS observations show that the regionality and localization of the seismic source layer depend mainly on the environment of the deep structures of the region; (5) The seismic source layer is a substance of medium layer, which can be related to the brittle ductile transition zone within the crust. The seismic source layer is also a stress conducting layer. As the media above and below this layer are subjected to failure or flowage, then the stress will concentrate in the stress conducting layer, in which the earthquake occurs.

文摘Analytical solution is obtained to predict the contaminant concentration with presence and absence of pollution source in finite aquifer subject to constant point source concentration. A longitudinal dispersion along unsteady groundwater flow in homogeneous and finite aquifer is considered which is initially solute free that is, aquifer is supposed to be clean. The constant source concentration in intermediate portion of the aquifer system is considered with pulse type boundary condition and at the other end of the aquifer, concentration gradient is supposed to be zero. The Laplace Transformation Technique (LTT) is used to obtain the analytical solution of the formulated solute transport model with suitable initial and boundary conditions. The time varying velocities are considered. Analytical solutions are perhaps most useful for benchmarking the numerical codes and models. It may be used as the preliminary predictive tools for groundwater management.
文摘Increasing performance parameters of hard disk drive (HDD) such as higher capacity and faster data access speed with decreasing physical size make HDD more susceptible to thermal effects. Contact temperature measurement using thermocouple is not suitable for the rotating platter of HDD. Heat analysis using simulation software requires accurate initial parameter setting such as thermal (initial & boundary) conditions of certain regions. Temperature measurement using infrared (IR) system avoids these limitations;it is non-contact, responsive and does not require initial parameter setting. Thermal pattern distribution can be studied from the thermal images. However, emissivity of the target has to be known and calibration of the system is essential for accurate temperature reading. This paper showed that temperature within the HDD increases with ambient temperature and time, but the thermal distribution pattern in the HDD was not affected by different ambient temperatures. Three wall boundary conditions were conducted to study the thermal distribution pattern in the HDD. A solution was then proposed based on the results obtained from the experiments to improve the heat transfer rate and steady state temperature, and reduce the detrimental effects from high thermal generation in future prototypes. Another important finding was that the averaged temperature of the head cap was generally higher compared to that of the disk, as the spindle motor is the primary heat source within the HDD. Heat source analysis of HDD with IR system allows designers to have better visibility of the temperature generated in different components of the HDD. Proper cooling may enhance disk life as well as ensure the stability and integrity of the system.
文摘Selection of air conditioning(AC) cold/heat sources generally concerns about certain aspects and cannot reveal the whole profile of the problems. Grey relation analysis (GRA) is a data processing method to categorize the correlation extent of compared sequences and a certain reference sequence in a system with uncertain information. It is applied to evaluating and selecting AC cold/heat sources from four main aspects, which are technology, economy, reliability, and operation and management. Case study shows that the result for selecting AC cold/heat sources with the GRA method can be more reasonable and convincible. Thus it offers a new approach for designers in heating, ventilating and air conditioning field to compare and evaluate different AC cold/heat sou rces.

文摘We investigate the space-time evolution of the hydrodynamic particle-emitting sources with the fluctuating initial conditions generated by Heavy Ion Jet Interaction Generator(HIJING).In order to detect the event-by-event inhomogeneity of the sources,we examine the distribution of the error-inverse-weighted fluctuations,f,between the two-pion Bose-Einstein correlation functions of single and mixed events.We find that the distribution of f becomes wide for the fluctuating initial conditions.The large values of the distribution width and the root-mean-square frms are the signatures of the hydrodynamic particle-emitting sources with the fluctuating initial conditions.

文摘Hydrocarbon resources in the Qiongdongnan Basin have become an important exploration target in China.However,the development of high-quality source rocks in this basin,especially in its deep-water areas,are still not fully understood.In this study,evolutions of sedimentary facies and palaeoenvironment and their influences on the development of source rocks in diverse tectonic regions of the Qiongdongnan Basin were investigated.The results show that during the Oligocene and to Miocene periods,the sedimentary environment of this basin progressively varied from a semi-closed gulf to an open marine environment,which resulted in significant differences in palaeoenvironmental conditions of the water column for various tectonic regions of the basin.In shallow-water areas,the palaeoproductivity and reducibility successively decrease,and the hydrodynamic intensity gradually increases for the water columns of the Yacheng,Lingshui,and Sanya-Meishan strata.In deep-water areas,the water column of the Yacheng and Lingshui strata has a higher palaeoproductivity and a weaker hydrodynamic intensity than that of the Sanya-Meishan strata,while the reducibility gradually increases for the water columns of the Yacheng,Lingshui,and Sanya-Meishan strata.In general,the palaeoenvironmental conditions of the water column are the most favorable to the development of the Yacheng organic-rich source rocks.Meanwhile,the Miocene marine source rocks in the deep-water areas of the Qiongdongnan Basin may also have a certain hydrocarbon potential.The differences in the development models of source rocks in various tectonic regions of continental margin basins should be fully evaluated in the exploration and development of hydrocarbons.

文摘Groundwater contamination source identification(GCSI)is a prerequisite for contamination risk evaluation and efficient groundwater contamination remediation programs.The boundary condition generally is set as known variables in previous GCSI studies.However,in many practical cases,the boundary condition is complicated and cannot be estimated accurately in advance.Setting the boundary condition as known variables may seriously deviate from the actual situation and lead to distorted identification results.And the results of GCSI are affected by multiple factors,including contaminant source information,model parameters,boundary condition,etc.Therefore,if the boundary condition is not estimated accurately,other factors will also be estimated inaccurately.This study focuses on the unknown boundary condition and proposed to identify three types of unknown variables(contaminant source information,model parameters and boundary condition)innovatively.When simulation-optimization(S-O)method is applied to GCSI,the huge computational load is usually reduced by building surrogate models.However,when building surrogate models,the researchers need to select the models and optimize the hyperparameters to make the model powerful,which can be a lengthy process.The automated machine learning(AutoML)method was used to build surrogate model,which automates the model selection and hyperparameter optimization in machine learning engineering,largely reducing human operations and saving time.The accuracy of AutoML surrogate model is compared with the surrogate model used in eXtreme Gradient Boosting method(XGBoost),random forest method(RF),extra trees regressor method(ETR)and elasticnet method(EN)respectively,which are automatically selected in AutoML engineering.The results show that the surrogate model constructed by AutoML method has the best accuracy compared with the other four methods.This study provides reliable and strong support for GCSI.

文摘[ Objective] This study was to improve the biomass of Navicula tenera, and thus to provide reference for achieving the industrial production of Navicula tenera. [Method] The feasibility of using sewage to cultivate Navicula tenera was preliminarily investigated based on the consideration of regional characteristics; and a series of culture conditions including the nutrient source of nitrogen(N), phosphorus(P), iron(Fe), silicon( Si ) and the salinity in medium for culturing Navicula tenera, were optimized by single factor test and orthogonal design.[Result] The optimized conditions for cultivating Navicula tenera using sewage are as follows: the water from Xiaoerlou Artificial Lake of Nanjing University of Technology as basic solvent; 360 mg/L urea; 150 mg/L N2HPO4 · 12H2O; 50 mg/L ferric citrate; 2 000 mg/L Na2SiO3 · 9H2O; 2.0 mol/L salinity. Navicula tenera was strongly adaptive to sewage and could well uptake the nutrient sources in the sewage. Under the optimized conditions, the culture cost decreased, and meanwhile the biomass of Navicula tenera reached 4. 766 g/L which is 3.57 multiples over original medium and 1.9 multiples over optimized medium No. 1.[ Conclusion] This study laid a foundation for the combination of culturing Navicula tenera in large scale and sewage treatment.

文摘Coals developed in the Oligocene Yacheng and Lingshui formations in the Qiongdongnan Basin have high organic matter abundance, and the dark mudstones in the two formations have reached a good source rock standard but with strong heterogeneity. Through the analysis of trace elements, organic macerals and biomarkers, it is indicated that plankton has made little contribution to Oligocene source rocks compared with the terrestrial higher plants. The organic matter preservation depends on hydrodynamics and the redox environment, and the former is the major factor in the study area. During the sedimentary period of the Yacheng Formation, tidal flats were developed in the central uplift zone, where the hydrodynamic conditions were weak and the input of terrestrial organic matter was abundant. So the Yacheng Salient of the central uplift zone is the most favorable area for the development of source rocks, followed by the central depression zone. During the sedimentary period of the Lingshui Formation, the organic matter input was sufficient in the central depression zone due to multiple sources of sediments. The semi-enclosed environment was favorable for organic matter accumulation, so high quality source rocks could be easily formed in this area, followed by the Yacheng salient of central uplift zone. Source rocks were less developed in the northern depression zone owing to poor preservation conditions,

文摘Drilling wells reveal that the organic matter abundance of Miocene marine source rocks in shallow water area of the Qiongdongnan Basin is relatively low with poor hydrocarbon generation poten- tial. However, in some drilling wells of deep water area close to the central depression belt, Miocene marine source rocks with better organic matter abundance and hydrocarbon generation have been found, which have achieved better source rock standard based on the analysis of geochemical charac- teristics. Although there are no exploratory wells in deep water area of the research region, through the comparative analysis of geochemical data of several typical exploratory wells respectively from shallow water area in the basin, central depression belt margin in deep-water area of the basin and Site 1148 of deep sea drilling in the South China Sea Basin, it reveals that the tendency of the quality of source rocks becomes positive gradually from delta to bathyal environment, which then becomes negative as in deep oceanic environment. Owing to the lack of terrestrial organic matter input, the important controlling factors of Miocene marine source rocks in the Qiongdongnan Basin are ocean productivity and preservation conditions of organic matter. The element geochemistry data indicate that the tendency of the paleoproductivity and the preservation conditions of organic matter become positive as water depth increase from shallow area to bathyal area close to central depression belt. So it is speculated that there must exist high quality source rocks in the central depression area where the preservation conditions of organic matter are much better. Besides, in theory, in oxygen-poor zone of oceanic environment at the water depth 400–1 000 m, the preservation conditions of organic matter are well thus forming high-quality marine source rocks. The result- ing speculation, it is reasonable to consider that there are high hydrocarbon generation potential source rocks in bathyal environment of the Qiongdongnan Basin, especially at the water depth 400– 1 000 m.

文摘This paper aimed to examine the site dependence and evaluate the methods for site analysis of far-source ground motions. This was achieved through the examination of frequency content estimated by different methods based on strong ground motions recorded at twelve far-source stations in Shandong province during the Wenchuan earthquake. The stations were located in sites with soil profiles ranging from code classes Ⅰ to Ⅲ. Approaches used included the Fourier amplitude spectrum (FAS), the earthquake response spectrum (ERS), the spectral ratio between the horizontal and the vertical components (H/V), the spectral ratio between the spectra at the site and at a reference site (SRRS), and coda wave analysis (CWA). Results showed that major periods of these ground motions obtained by FAS, ERS and H/V ratio methods were all evidently larger than site dominant periods; the periods were also different from each other and mainly reflected the frequency content of long period components. Prominent periods obtained by the SRRS approach neither illuminated the long period aspect nor efficiently determined site features of the motions. The CWA resulted in a period close to site period for stations with good quality recordings. The results obtained in this study will be useful for the evaluation of far-source effect in constructing seismic design spectra and in selecting methods for ground motion site analysis.
文摘Recent progress in calculating gas bubble sizes in a plume, based on phenomenological approaches using the release conditions is a significant improvement to make the gas plume models self-reliant. Such calculations require details of conditions Near the Source of Plume (NSP); (i.e. the plume/jet velocity and radius near the source), which inspired the present work. Determining NSP conditions for gas plumes are far more complex than that for oil plumes due to the substantial density difference between gas and water. To calculate NSP conditions, modeling the early stage of the plume is important. A novel method of modeling the early stage of an underwater gas release is presented here. Major impact of the present work is to define the correct NSP conditions for underwater gas releases, which is not possible with available methods as those techniques are not based on the physics of flow region near the source of the plume/jet. We introduce super Gaussian profiles to model the density and velocity variations of the early stages of plume, coupled with the laws of fluid mechanics to define profile parameters. This new approach, models the velocity profile variation from near uniform, across the section at the release point to Gaussian some distance away. The comparisons show that experimental data agrees well with the computations.
文摘The noise source identification is an important issue in noise reduction and condition monitoring(CM) for machines in- site using microphone arrays. In this paper, we propose a new approach to optimize array configuration based on particles swarm optimization algorithm in order to improve noise source identification and condition monitoring performance. Two distinct optimized array configurations are designed under the certain conditions. Furthermore, an acoustic imaging equipment is developed to carry out experiments on transformer substation equipment and wind turbine generator, which demonstrate that the acoustic imaging system allows a high resolution in identifying main noise sources for noise reduction and abnormal noise sources for condition monitoring.

文摘In geodesy and geophysics,many large-scale over-determined linear equations need to be solved which are often ill-conditioned.When the conjugate gradient method is used,their ill-conditioning effects to the solutions must be overcome,which is studied in this paper.Through the regularization ideas,the conjugate gradient method is improved,and the regularization iterative solution based on controlling condition number is put forward.Firstly by constructing the interference source vector,a new equation is derived with ill-condition diminished greatly,which has the same solution to the original normal equation.Then the new equation is solved by conjugate gradient method.Finally the effectiveness of the new method is verified by some numerical experiments of airborne gravity downward to the earth surface.In the numerical experiments the new method is compared with LS,CG and Tikhonov methods,and its accuracy is the highest.
