The robustness analysis is performed employing a 2~3 factorial experimental design for a fractional order proportional integral and derivative controller(FOPID), integer order proportional integral and derivative controller(IOPID)and the Skogestad internal model control controller(SIMC). The controller designed here consists of a linear feedback part and a nonlinear part. The linear part is responsible for stability and fast response of the closed-loop system. The nonlinear part serves to increase the damping ratio of closed-loop poles as the controlled output approaches the target reference. The CNF control brings together the good points of both the small and the large damping ratio cases, by continuously scheduling the damping ratio of the dominant closed-loop poles and thus has the capability for superior transient performance, i.e. a fast output response with low overshoot. In the presence of constant disturbances, an integral action is included so as to remove the static bias. An explicitly parameterized controller is derived for servo positioning systems characterized by second-order model. Practical application in a micro hard disk drive servo system is then presented, together with some discussion of the rationale and characteristics of such design. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of this control design methodology.展开更多

First, a T-S fuzzy system is adopted to model the uncertain nonlinear systems. Then, for the system with input variables adopting standard fuzzy partitions, the efficient maximal overlapped-rules group (EMORG) is presented, and a new sufficient condition to check the stability of T-S fuzzy system with uncertainty is derived, which is expressed in terms of Linear Matrix Inequalities. The derived stability condition, which only requires a local common positive definite matrix in each EMORG, can reduce the conservatism and difficulty in existing stability conditions. Finally, a simulation example shows the proposed approach is effective.展开更多

Nevertheless, in digitally controlled systems, the PWM and the calculating delays modify the system characteristics in terms of frequency and phase, thus destabilizing the system and degrading the VR-AD performances, mainly in low switching frequencies. Moreover, the stability of the system is greatly affected under weak grid operation characterized by large grid impedance variation. This paper solves these problems by proposing a systematic, robust and optimized design procedure of voltage oriented PI control(VOC) with VRAD. The considered design procedure ensures robust control(sufficient stability margins) and high quality of grid current(reduced steady-state error and minimized THD value) despite the negative impact of digital time delay, grid impedance variation and filter parameters change. Simulation and experimental results are presented to show robustness and efficiency of the suggested design procedure.展开更多

They allow the design of a controller for an uncertain process, either continuous or discrete-time, without zeros, and with measurable state. The controller guarantees that the control system is Type 1 and has the desired constant gain and poles or that the control system tracks, with a specified maximum error and with a specified maximum time constant, a generic reference with bounded derivative (variation in the discrete-time case), also in the presence of a generic disturbance with bounded derivative (variation). In addition, it is considered the case in which the reference is known a priori. The utility and the efficiency of the proposed methods are illustrated with attractive and significant examples of motion control and temperature control. This book is useful for the design of control systems, especially for manufacturing systems, that are versatile, fast, precise and robust.展开更多

文摘To achieve fast, smooth and accurate set point tracking in servo positioning systems, a parameterized design of nonlinear feedback controllers is presented, based on a so-called composite nonlinear feedback (CNF) control technique. An explicitly parameterized controller is derived for servo positioning systems characterized by second-order model. Practical application in a micro hard disk drive servo system is then presented, together with some discussion of the rationale and characteristics of such design. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of this control design methodology.

文摘In this book new results on controller design techniques for the tracking of generic reference inputs are presented. This book is useful for the design of control systems, especially for manufacturing systems, that are versatile, fast, precise and robust.
文摘This work provides an overview of distillation processes, including process design for different distillation processes, selection of entrainers for special distillation processes, system integration and intensification of distillation processes, optimization of process parameters for distillation processes and recent research progress in dynamic control strategies.Firstly, the feasibility of using thermodynamic topological theories such as residual curve, phase equilibrium line and distillation boundary line to analyze different separation regions is discussed, and the rationality of distillation process design is discussed by using its feasibility.Secondly, the application of molecular simulation methods such as molecular dynamics simulation and quantum chemical calculation in the screening of entrainer is discussed for the extractive distillation process. The thermal coupling mechanism of different distillation processes is used to explore the process of different process intensifications.Next,a mixed integer nonlinear optimization strategy for the distillation process based on different algorithms is introduced. Finally, the improvement of dynamic control strategies for different distillation processes in recent years is summarized. This work focuses on the application of process intensification and system optimization in the design of distillation process, and analyzes the challenges, prospects, and development trends of distillation technology in the separation of multicomponent azeotropes.

文摘With the ongoing advancements in sensor networks and data acquisition technologies across various systems like manufacturing, aviation, and healthcare, the data driven vibration control(DDVC)has attracted broad interests from both the industrial and academic communities.Input shaping(IS),as a simple and effective feedforward method,is greatly demanded in DDVC methods. It convolves the desired input command with impulse sequence without requiring parametric dynamics and the closed-loop system structure, thereby suppressing the residual vibration separately.Based on a thorough investigation into the state-of-the-art DDVC methods, this survey has made the following efforts:1)Introducing the IS theory and typical input shapers;2)Categorizing recent progress of DDVC methods;3)Summarizing commonly adopted metrics for DDVC;and 4)Discussing the engineering applications and future trends of DDVC.By doing so,this study provides a systematic and comprehensive overview of existing DDVC methods from designing to optimizing perspectives, aiming at promoting future research regarding this emerging and vital issue.
文摘The angular position controller is system (EHSAS) to control the output of the rotary applied to electro-hydraulic servo actuator actuator. It works as a compensator based on the frequency response of the EHSAS. Its design model is verified on the state-space model of EHSAS by using simulation program SIMULINK. Real data used to test the system. Simulation results give a good agreement for the controller and also for the state-space model.
文摘In this research,a Multidisciplinary Design Optimization approach is proposed for the dual-spin guided flying projectile design considering external and internal parts of the body as design variables. In this way,a parametric formulation is developed. All related disciplines, including structure, aerodynamics, guidance, and control are considered.Minimum total mass, maximum aerodynamic control effectiveness, minimum miss distance, maximum yield stress in all subsystems, controllability and gyroscopic stability constraints are some of objectives/constraints taken into account. The problem is formulated in All-At-Ones Multidisciplinary Design Optimization approach structure and solved by Simulated Annealing and minimax algorithms. The optimal configurations are evaluated in various aspects. The resulted optimal configurations have met all design objectives and constraints.
文摘The design of mini-missiles(MMs)presents several novel challenges. The stringent mission requirement to reach a target with a certain precision imposes a high guidance precision. The miniaturization of the size of MMs makes the design of the guidance, navigation, and control(GNC)have a larger-thanbefore impact on the main-body design(shape, motor, and layout design)and its design objective,i.e.,flight performance.Pursuing a trade-off between flight performance and guidance precision, all the relevant interactions have to be accounted for in the design of the main body and the GNC system.Herein,a multi-objective and multidisciplinary design optimization(MDO)is proposed.Disciplines pertinent to motor, aerodynamics, layout, trajectory, flight dynamics, control, and guidance are included in the proposed MDO framework. The optimization problem seeks to maximize the range and minimize the guidance error. The problem is solved by using the nondominated sorting genetic algorithm II.An optimum design that balances a longer range with a smaller guidance error is obtained. Finally, lessons learned about the design of the MM and insights into the trade-off between flight performance and guidance precision are given by comparing the optimum design to a design provided by the traditional approach.
