A critical review of empirical studies regarding this area, can lay the groundwork for improving partnership between nurses and clients, as well as person- centered nursing care. Methods: A comprehensive literature search used various “partnership”,“nurse”and “clients”search terms to identify relevant studies published from 2007 to 2017. The selected studies had to focus on partnership and nursing care. Walker and Avant’(2004) framework was used when synthesizing the evidence from empirical studies in the concept analysis. It helps to distinguish confusing or unclear concepts, and to promote critical thinking through analyzing its attributes, operational definitions, antecedents, consequences, and reference. Results: In nursing care, partnership is the relationship based on collaboration among individuals, who place trust and confidence in accountability, and who have capability and empathy. The antecedents are health problems or requirements, willingness to sign up as partners and ongoing commitment;while the consequences were presented as improvement in quality of service, treatment outcomes, clients’ safety and satisfaction, financial benefit as well as time constraints and professionals’ emotional burden. The Patient Partnership in Care questionnaire can help assess partnership in nursing care. Conclusion: This concept analysis informs the concept of partnership in nursing care by using Walker and Avant’(2004) framework. By synthesizing the evidence from empirical studies, it provides theoretical and clinical frameworks for nurses to innovate nurse-client relationships - nurses are seen as partners in care instead of experts, which can encourage clients’ self-management and improve person-centered nursing care.展开更多

The keywords included in the search were ethical competence. A total of 24 published articles were analyzed. [Results] As a concept of ethical competence among nursing students and nurses, five categories of [ethical sensitivity], [ethical reasoning], [ethical decision making], [ethical practice], [ethical reflection], obviously became. As a component, two categories of antecedent factors and three categories of consequences were identified. I defined ethical competence in nursing students and nurses, “including nursing students and nurses thinking processes and nursing practice and reflection to solve ethical problems Behavioral characteristics”. [Conclusion] Review of nursing practice from an ethical perspective [ethical reflection] is indispensable for clarifying self-tasks and deepening better nursing practice.
文摘Background: The rapid change of health care delivery affirms the need for a change in the culture of nursing education through identifying the challenge to nursing faculty that many teach in the way they were taught, and suggesting a focus on the exploration of new teaching methods and student learning, rather than only focus on content coverage. Objectives: To examine the impact of concept mapping on caring efficacy of Palestinian nursing students. Methods: A quasi-experimental design, pre-post test, two groups (intervention and control group) were used. Convenience sample of 80 (40 participants in each group) nursing students from Arab American University, Jenin. Caring Efficacy was measured by Caring Efficacy Scale. The statistical tests such as t-test (independent and paired t-test) were used to examine the effect of concept mapping on caring efficacy of the fourth year nursing students at their clinical training. Results: Independent-samples t-test revealed statistically significant differences between the two groups in caring efficacy (t = 2.589, df = 78, P = 0.011);students in the intervention group showed higher level of caring efficacy than students in the control group during their clinical training. Conclusion: Concept mapping was found to be an effective teaching method for nursing students. The use of concept mapping is useful in enhancing meaningful learning.
文摘Objectives: This concept analysis aims to provide a better understanding of the term “partnership” in nursing care. By synthesizing the evidence from empirical studies, it provides theoretical and clinical frameworks for nurses to innovate nurse-client relationships - nurses are seen as partners in care instead of experts, which can encourage clients’ self-management and improve person-centered nursing care.
文摘Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)nursing is one of the important disciplines in TCM.It is based on TCM theory and combined with modern nursing theory and technology, aiming to provide comprehensive and individualized nursing services. With the changes in the medical environment and the continuous improvement of people’s health needs, the teaching of TCM nursing is facing new challenges and opportunities. This paper aims to discuss the teaching reform of TCM nursing course based on the concept of outcome-based education(OBE)or student-centered teaching. The significance of this study is to provide theoretical basis and practical guidance for the teaching reform of TCM nursing course, and to promote the development and progress of TCM nursing education.Through the teaching reform based on OBE concept,we can better cultivate TCM nursing talents with innovative spirit and practical skills, and contribute to the development of TCM.

文摘Objective:This paper aims to clarify the concept of occupational burnout(OB)as well as develop appropriate methods to relieve or prevent OB in the nursing profession. Methods:Walker and Avant's eight-step approach of concept analysis was applied. Results:OB was defined as a chronic form of work-related stress.Accurately,it was characterized by emotional exhaustion,depersonalization/cynicism,and reduced personal accomplishment/inefficacy.Antecedents of burnout included(a)demographic characteristics;(b)chronic exposure to work-related stressors;(c)quantitative and qualitative job demands;(d)lack of job resources;and(e)personality traits.Consequences involved(a)individual’s unfavorable quality of life;(b)negative impact on the organization;and(c)poor services quality.Although the Maslach Burnout Inventory(MBI)is perceived as an ideal tool to measure burnout and hence,it is used worldwide, whether this instrument fits to measure this concept for nurses has still not yet been verified and thus further research is needed. Conclusions:By proposing a comprehensive definition of the concept, this analysis contributes to recognition of the process of OB of nurses. All nurses are vulnerable to OB.Hence, burnout in nursing needs to be recognized as a critical factor in the delivery of safe patient care.It proposes that the prevention of OB would be achieved through team communication training, mindfulness group, education, etc.
文摘Objective:To explore the concept of burnout among nurses.Through this concept analysis would expect in assisting hospital management departments in establishing supportive programmes to manage burnout of nurses.Method:Walker and Avant’s framework is adopted for the concept analysis of burnout. Results:Burnout is a syndrome that can happen among helping professions which characterized as emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment. The antecedents of burnout are cognitive-competence,role overload, role conflict, lack of social support, and rewards. On the other hand, the consequences of burnout could be both personal and organizational, such as sub-clinical issues, behavioral change, absenteeism, and poor quality of care. Conclusion:The analysis of burnout on its attributes, together with antecedents and consequences(Appendix A)and presenting with case study,it may help the nurse to gain a better understanding of nurse burnout and build coping strategies.
文摘Objectives:Effective facilitation is crucial to improve critical care outcomes in life-threatening conditions through improved teamwork,caring,decision-making,and problem-solving.The meaning of facilitation remains unprecise in a critical care context despite its frequent usage in nursing education and clinical practice. This study aimed to report a thorough concept analysis to clarify the meaning of facilitation in the critical care context by formulating attributes, antecedents, and consequences and providing model cases related to facilitation. Methods:This analysis was performed by searching online sources published from 1999 to 2023.EBSCOhost,CINAHL,PubMed,and Google Scholar databases were searched using online search engines. The analysis also included the manual search of books, thesaurus and dictionaries that showed relevance to facilitation.Walker and Avant’s eight-step approach was applied to explore and analyze the meaning of facilitation in critical care units. Results:A total of 68 articles were included in the analysis of this study.Eleven attributes, six antecedents, and seven consequences related to facilitation were formulated. The attributes included dynamic, interactive processes, creating a positive environment, mobilizing resources, assistance, studentcentered, shared goals, collaboration, engagement, participation, and feedback.Antecedents were facilitator qualities, motivation,a positive learning environment,student-facilitator relationship, time availability, and specified learning outcomes. The consequences of facilitation were identified as follows:change, professional development, competency, quality development, increased job satisfaction, staff retention, and self-confidence.Conclusions:The findings from the analysis indicated that effective facilitation results in nurses and critical care staff developing competency, caring, critical thinking, and independence. Therefore, clinical outcomes in critical care environments are improved through teamwork,decision-making,and problemsolving in life-threatening situations.
文摘Objective:The concept of family resilience of cancer patients was discussed through literature review, which provided reference for nursing of cancer patients. Methods:China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Database,SinoMed,PubMed,Web of Science, and Embase were systematically searched, and the concept analysis method proposed by Walker and Avant was adopted. Results:In this study,we defined the concept of family resilience, identified attributes, and analyzed the antecedents and consequences. The proposed operational definition of family resilience was:After a family member is diagnosed with cancer, the whole family can actively explore its own unique internal and external resources and advantages, strengthen self-regulation,jointly cope with the crisis by establishing close family relationships, providing mutual support to family members, and interacting with the outside world. Conclusions:The definition of family resilience of cancer patients is conducive to the development of measurement tools and the improvement of family outcomes of adult cancer patients by intervening family resilience factors.
