In this work,a numerical study of the effects of soil-structure interaction(SSI)and granular material-structure interaction(GSI)on the nonlinear response and seismic capacity of flat-bottomed storage silos is conducte...In this work,a numerical study of the effects of soil-structure interaction(SSI)and granular material-structure interaction(GSI)on the nonlinear response and seismic capacity of flat-bottomed storage silos is conducted.A series of incremental dynamic analyses(IDA)are performed on a case of large reinforced concrete silo using 10 seismic recordings.The IDA results are given by two average IDA capacity curves,which are represented,as well as the seismic capacity of the studied structure,with and without a consideration of the SSI while accounting for the effect of GSI.These curves are used to quantify and evaluate the damage of the studied silo by utilizing two damage indices,one based on dissipated energy and the other on displacement and dissipated energy.The cumulative energy dissipation curves obtained by the average IDA capacity curves with and without SSI are presented as a function of the base shear,and these curves allow one to obtain the two critical points and the different limit states of the structure.It is observed that the SSI and GSI significantly influence the seismic response and capacity of the studied structure,particularly at higher levels of PGA.Moreover,the effect of the SSI reduces the damage index of the studied structure by 4%.展开更多

Consequently, although they can even reach an experimental confirmation of the theoretical results, and thus a “valid description” of the various phenomena of the surrounding world, such a description has not an “absolute value”. In fact, it always and only has an “operative validity”, that is, it exclusively and solely refers to an “experimental point of view”. This means that such an “operative validity” cannot represent the basis for a logical process characterized by a “perfect induction”. The healthcare internet of things(IoT)system has dramatically reshaped this important industry sector.This system employs the latest technology of IoT and wireless medical sensor networks to support the reliable conne...The healthcare internet of things(IoT)system has dramatically reshaped this important industry sector.This system employs the latest technology of IoT and wireless medical sensor networks to support the reliable connection of patients and healthcare providers.The goal is the remote monitoring of a patient’s physiological data by physicians.Moreover,this system can reduce the number and expenses of healthcare centers,make up for the shortage of healthcare centers in remote areas,enable consultation with expert physicians around the world,and increase the health awareness of communities.The major challenges that affect the rapid deployment and widespread acceptance of such a system are the weaknesses in the authentication process,which should maintain the privacy of patients,and the integrity of remote medical instructions.Current research results indicate the need of a flexible authentication scheme.This study proposes a scheme with enhanced security for healthcare IoT systems,called an end-to-end authentication scheme for healthcare IoT systems,that is,an E2EA.The proposed scheme supports security services such as a strong and flexible authentication process,simultaneous anonymity of the patient and physician,and perfect forward secrecy services.A security analysis based on formal and informal methods demonstrates that the proposed scheme can resist numerous security-related attacks.A comparison with related authentication schemes shows that the proposed scheme is efficient in terms of communication,computation,and storage,and therefore cannot only offer attractive security services but can reasonably be applied to healthcare IoT systems.展开更多
Wireless medical sensor networks(WMSNs)play a significant role in increasing the availability of remote healthcare systems.The vital and physiological data of the patient can be collected using the WMSN via sensor nod...Wireless medical sensor networks(WMSNs)play a significant role in increasing the availability of remote healthcare systems.The vital and physiological data of the patient can be collected using the WMSN via sensor nodes that are placed on his/her body and then transmitted remotely to a healthcare professional for proper diagnosis.The protection of the patient’s privacy and their data from unauthorized access is a major concern in such systems.Therefore,an authentication scheme with a high level of security is one of the most effective mechanisms by which to address these security concerns.Many authentication schemes for remote patient monitoring have been proposed recently.However,the majority of these schemes are extremely vulnerable to attacks and are unsuitable for practical use.This paper proposes a secure three-factor authentication scheme for a patient-monitoring healthcare system that operates remotely using a WMSN.The proposed authentication scheme is formally verified using the Burrows,Abadi and Needham’s(BAN)logic model and an automatic cryptographic protocol verifier(ProVerif)tool.We show that our authentication scheme can prevent relevant types of security breaches in a practical context according to the discussed possible attack scenarios.Comparisons of the security and performance are carried out with recently proposed authentication schemes.The results of the analysis show that the proposed authentication scheme is secure and practical for use,with reasonable storage space,computation,and communication efficiency.展开更多

Transformation acoustics(TA)has emerged as a powerful tool for designing several intriguing conceptual devices,which can manipulate acoustic waves in a flexible manner,yet their applications are limited in Hermitian m...Transformation acoustics(TA)has emerged as a powerful tool for designing several intriguing conceptual devices,which can manipulate acoustic waves in a flexible manner,yet their applications are limited in Hermitian materials.In this work,we propose the theory of complex-coordinate transformation acoustics(CCTA)and verify the effectiveness in realizing acoustic non-Hermitian metamaterials.Especially,we apply this theory for the first time to the design of acoustic parity-time(PT)and antisymmetric parity-time(APT)metamaterials and demonstrate two distinctive examples.First,we use this method to obtain the exceptional points(EPs)of the PT/APT system and observe the spontaneous phase transition of the scattering matrix in the transformation parameter space.Second,by selecting the Jacobian matrix's constitutive parameters,the PT/APT-symmetric system can also be configured to approach the zero and pole of the scattering matrix,behaving as an acoustic coherent perfect absorber and equivalent laser.We envision our proposed CCTAbased paradigm to open the way for exploring the non-Hermitian physics and finding application in the design of acoustic functional devices such as absorbers and amplifiers whose material parameters are hard to realize by using the conventional transformation method.展开更多
This study is to compare three-dimensional(3D)isotropic T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)with compressed sensing-sampling perfection with application optimized contrast(CS-SPACE)and the conventional image(3D...This study is to compare three-dimensional(3D)isotropic T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)with compressed sensing-sampling perfection with application optimized contrast(CS-SPACE)and the conventional image(3D-SPACE)sequence in terms of image quality,estimated signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),relative contrast-to-noise ratio(CNR),and the lesions’conspicuous of the female pelvis.Thirty-six females(age:51,28-73)with cervical carcinoma(n=20),rectal carcinoma(n=7),or uterine fibroid(n=9)were included.Patients underwent magnetic resonance(MR)imaging at a 3T scanner with the sequences of 3D-SPACE,CS-SPACE,and twodimensional(2D)T2-weighted turbo-spin echo(TSE).Quantitative analyses of estimated SNR and relative CNR between tumors and other tissues,image quality,and tissue conspicuity were performed.Two radiologists assessed the difference in diagnostic findings for carcinoma.Quantitative values and qualitative scores were analyzed,respectively.The estimated SNR and the relative CNR of tumor-to-muscle obturator internus,tumor-to-myometrium,and myometrium-to-muscle obturator internus was comparable between 3D-SPACE and CS-SPACE.The overall image quality and the conspicuity of the lesion scores of the CS-SPACE were higher than that of the 3D-SPACE(P<0.01).The CS-SPACE sequence offers shorter scan time,fewer artifacts,and comparable SNR and CNR to conventional 3D-SPACE,and has the potential to improve the performance of T2-weighted images.展开更多

文摘Traditional medicine has been gradually accumulated and perfected in the long history of human development.However,a large number of traditional medical studies today ignore the history and role of the research object,and the research results are difficult to integrate into traditional medicine.There is a natural gap and divide between traditional medical researchers and practitioners.A traditional research result will either be absorbed by modern medicine,or disappear in massive literature information,and only a few research results can be absorbed by traditional medicine itself.Traditional Medicine Research has always encouraged and helped researchers to briefly describe the historical evolution of the research subject since its inception,and promoted the development and innovation of traditional medicine research based on inheritance.

文摘Transformation acoustics(TA)has emerged as a powerful tool for designing several intriguing conceptual devices,which can manipulate acoustic waves in a flexible manner,yet their applications are limited in Hermitian materials.In this work,we propose the theory of complex-coordinate transformation acoustics(CCTA)and verify the effectiveness in realizing acoustic non-Hermitian metamaterials.Especially,we apply this theory for the first time to the design of acoustic parity-time(PT)and antisymmetric parity-time(APT)metamaterials and demonstrate two distinctive examples.First,we use this method to obtain the exceptional points(EPs)of the PT/APT system and observe the spontaneous phase transition of the scattering matrix in the transformation parameter space.Second,by selecting the Jacobian matrix's constitutive parameters,the PT/APT-symmetric system can also be configured to approach the zero and pole of the scattering matrix,behaving as an acoustic coherent perfect absorber and equivalent laser.We envision our proposed CCTAbased paradigm to open the way for exploring the non-Hermitian physics and finding application in the design of acoustic functional devices such as absorbers and amplifiers whose material parameters are hard to realize by using the conventional transformation method.
文摘This study is to compare three-dimensional(3D)isotropic T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)with compressed sensing-sampling perfection with application optimized contrast(CS-SPACE)and the conventional image(3D-SPACE)sequence in terms of image quality,estimated signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),relative contrast-to-noise ratio(CNR),and the lesions’conspicuous of the female pelvis.Thirty-six females(age:51,28-73)with cervical carcinoma(n=20),rectal carcinoma(n=7),or uterine fibroid(n=9)were included.Patients underwent magnetic resonance(MR)imaging at a 3T scanner with the sequences of 3D-SPACE,CS-SPACE,and twodimensional(2D)T2-weighted turbo-spin echo(TSE).Quantitative analyses of estimated SNR and relative CNR between tumors and other tissues,image quality,and tissue conspicuity were performed.Two radiologists assessed the difference in diagnostic findings for carcinoma.Quantitative values and qualitative scores were analyzed,respectively.The estimated SNR and the relative CNR of tumor-to-muscle obturator internus,tumor-to-myometrium,and myometrium-to-muscle obturator internus was comparable between 3D-SPACE and CS-SPACE.The overall image quality and the conspicuity of the lesion scores of the CS-SPACE were higher than that of the 3D-SPACE(P<0.01).The CS-SPACE sequence offers shorter scan time,fewer artifacts,and comparable SNR and CNR to conventional 3D-SPACE,and has the potential to improve the performance of T2-weighted images.

文摘We investigate the phenomenon of coherent perfect absorption in a high-order system with three passive resonators coupled to a super-surface to form this three-state coherent perfect absorber. The effective parity time (PT) symmetry in the passive system has received much attention, and in this open three-state PT symmetric system, the incident wave is used as the effective gain instead of balancing the material gain and loss. We analyze the variation of coherent perfect absorption of this system with the coupling coefficient of the system by simulation.
