This is because both the two Scientific Approaches previously mentioned have not the property of “the perfect induction”. Consequently, although they can even reach an experimental confirmation of the theoretical results, and thus a “valid description” of the various phenomena of the surrounding world, such a description has not an “absolute value”. In fact, it always and only has an “operative validity”, that is, it exclusively and solely refers to an “experimental point of view”. This means that such an “operative validity” cannot represent the basis for a logical process characterized by a “perfect induction”. In addition, the Traditional Scientific Approach is also characterized by “Insoluble” Problems, “Intractable Problems”, Problems with “drifts”, which could generally be termed as “side effects”. On the other hand, the same com-possible Scientific Approach based on the Emerging Quality of Self-Organizing Systems, also presents its “Emerging Exits”. Consequently, none of the two mentioned scientific Approaches has the “gift” of “the perfect induction”. However, there are significant differences between the two. Differences that may “suggest” the most appropriate choice among them for an “operative point of view”. This conclusion will be com-proved by considering, with particular reference, both the “side effects”, which are related to the Traditional Approach and, on the other hand, the “Emerging Exits”, which specifically pertain to the new Scientific Approach based on the Emerging Quality of Self-Organizing Systems.展开更多

The "faith" expresses a belief in the capacity of government to concentrate all the power and resources upon the project of human improvement and perfection, while the "scepticism" is the politics of the powerless in which government cannot produce perfection and enjoys only limited opportunity of directing the activities of its subjects. The aim of this article is to revise Oakeshott's distinction in order to apply it to the discussion on inequalities affecting Europe. This discussion held by Chantal Mouffe, Ulrich Beck and Anthony Giddens focused on issues such as: modern patterns of inequality, the coexistence of different ethnic, religious and political forms of life, "legitimization" of social inequalities, the institutionalization of norms of equality, the problem of recognition, the common identity and so on. The key question is: How the values of equality and justice are best realized in the structure of modern society? To answer this question, it is necessary not only to assess critilically the authority of governments, but also to examine possible ways of development of the idea of liberal democracy and power relations in contemporary political socidtts. What is our perspective on the way to solve these problems--the reinvention of politics or democratizing democracy? Even if this research will not help us to find the best political project, however we may be less often cheated in this discussion by irrelevant and ambiguous arguments.展开更多

We discover that, if the spectrum of a Hamiltonian matches the symmetry of a fermion or boson system in a certain fashion, a perfect quantum state transfer can be implemented without any operation on the medium with pre-engineered nearest neighbor (NN). We also study a simple but realistic near half-filled tight-bindlng fermion system wlth uniform NN hopping integral. We show that an arbitrary many-particle state near the fermi surface can be perfectly transferred to its translational counterpart.展开更多

文摘Mesh-free finite difference(FD)methods can improve the geometric flexibility of modeling without the need for lattice mapping or complex meshing process.Radial-basisfunction-generated FD is among the most commonly used mesh-free FD methods and can accurately simulate seismic wave propagation in the non-rectangular computational domain. In this paper,we propose a perfectly matched layer(PML)boundary condition for a meshfree FD solution of the elastic wave equation, which can be applied to the boundaries of the non-rectangular velocity model. The performance of the PML is,however, severely reduced for near-grazing incident waves and low-frequency waves. We thus also propose the complexfrequency-shifted PML(CFS-PML)boundary condition for a mesh-free FD solution of the elastic wave equation. For two PML boundary conditions,we derive unsplit time-domain expressions by constructing auxiliary differential equations, both of which require less memory and are easy for programming.Numerical experiments demonstrate that these two PML boundary conditions effectively eliminate artificial boundary reflections in mesh-free FD simulations. When compared with the PML boundary condition, the CFS-PML boundary condition results in better absorption for near-grazing incident waves and evanescent waves.

文摘The quantum state transmission through the medium of high-dimensional many-particle system (boson or spinless fermion) is generally studied with a symmetry analysis. We show that an arbitrary many-particle state near the fermi surface can be perfectly transferred to its translational counterpart.
文摘Background: The parent-to-child influences can be adaptive and contribute to the optimal psychological well-being and positive perception of the athlete. Contrary to the healthy parental involvement, a family can also have negative effects on an athlete development. The purpose of this study was to determine gender, father involvement, and mother involvement differences in the psychological profiles of collegiate freshmen athletes as measured by perfectionism, physical self-concept, and psychological well-being. Methods: Eighty-two male and 73 female collegiate freshmen responded to self-reported measures of family involvement, perfectionism, physical self-concept, and psychological well-being. Three separate 2 x 2 x 2 (gender x mother involvement x father involvement) factorial multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVAs) were carried out on the respective subscales from the reported measures. Results: There were significant differences for gender as well as father involvement in perfectionism (p 〈 0.01). Freshmen females had lower concern over mistakes, and greater levels of organization as well as planfulness than males. Furthermore, freshmen athletes with high involved fathers showed greater levels of high standards for others as well as organization. Conclusion: Father involvement and mother involvement impact perfectionism, physical self-concept, and psychological well-being. perspective. extends through the freshmen year in college as shown in the athletes' Future research should develop better measures and utilize a family systems Copyright @ 2012, Shanghai University of Sport. 文摘Wireless medical sensor networks(WMSNs)play a significant role in increasing the availability of remote healthcare systems. The vital and physiological data of the patient can be collected using the WMSN via sensor nodes that are placed on his/her body and then transmitted remotely to a healthcare professional for proper diagnosis. The protection of the patient’s privacy and their data from unauthorized access is a major concern in such systems. Therefore,an authentication scheme with a high level of security is one of the most effective mechanisms by which to address these security concerns. Many authentication schemes for remote patient monitoring have been proposed recently. However, the majority of these schemes are extremely vulnerable to attacks and are unsuitable for practical use. This paper proposes a secure three-factor authentication scheme for a patient-monitoring healthcare system that operates remotely using a WMSN.The proposed authentication scheme is formally verified using the Burrows,Abadi and Needham’s(BAN)logic model and an automatic cryptographic protocol verifier(ProVerif)tool. We show that our authentication scheme can prevent relevant types of security breaches in a practical context according to the discussed possible attack scenarios.Comparisons of the security and performance are carried out with recently proposed authentication schemes. The results of the analysis show that the proposed authentication scheme is secure and practical for use, with reasonable storage space, computation, and communication efficiency.
