The phase-field model for cell migration is used to study the effect of elasticity mismatch on the migration dynamics of multiple cells in a confluent monolayer, where one tagged cell is embedded by a number of normal...The phase-field model for cell migration is used to study the effect of elasticity mismatch on the migration dynamics of multiple cells in a confluent monolayer, where one tagged cell is embedded by a number of normal cells and both types of cells are supposed to have the same properties except elasticity. Our results show that a larger elasticity mismatch leads to a larger difference in shape change between the tagged cell and the normal cells. We find that the bursts of velocity always fall behind the peak of the perimeter, and the shape change of the tagged cell results in the accelerated motion of the tagged cell in the whole process. Moreover, the variation of the averaging cell perimeter ratio ˉLtag/ˉLnormalwith the increase of the elasticity ratio γtag/γnormal for different active velocities |a| is analyzed. We find thatˉLtag/ˉLnormaldecreases with the increase of γtag/γnormal, following a simple power law function. Our results highlight the important role played by the cell elasticity mismatch in cell deformation and migration.展开更多

Besides, the locking range of the injection-locked magnetron with the mismatched circulator is deduced by functional operation. In addition, the phase differential equation and the locked bandwidth of the injection-locked system with a mismatched circulator are compared with those of the small injection-ratio case with a perfect circulator. The in- fluence of the circulator reflection coefficient on the injection-locked magnetron is also analyzed by numerical calculation. Theoretical analysis shows that the decrement of the locked bandwidth is less than 1% and decrement of the stable phase difference is less than 1.2% when the reflection coefficient is less than 0.1.展开更多

The relationship between structure and hysteresis of phase transformation temperature in NiTi shape memory alloy has been investigated by means of TEM observation,positron an- nihilation and electrical resistivity mea...The relationship between structure and hysteresis of phase transformation temperature in NiTi shape memory alloy has been investigated by means of TEM observation,positron an- nihilation and electrical resistivity measurement.The sequence of hysteresis for the alloy aged under different regimes was found to be:plate martensite>R-phase>tie-like martensite. The reversible displaeement of phase boundaries of these transformations is blocked by the co- herent stress field around Ti_(11)Ni_(14)phase particles.A linear relationship between S paramet- er of positron annihilation and maximum values of temperature hysteresis showed that the mismatch dislocation and elastic stress field established by Ti_(11)Ni_(14)phase precipitation are the main factor to determine the temperature hysteresis of phase transformation in NiTi shape memory alloy.展开更多
