DNA photocleavage properties of halogenated mono-hydroxyl corrole 1-5 were investigated.It was found that these corroles were able to photocleavage supercoiled pBR 322 DNA(SC) into nicked-circular DNA(NC).The activity of these corroles follows an order of 4>3>2≈1>5.The photosensitized singlet oxygen(Φ;) quantum yield by these corroles also follows that same order,showing the photocleavage activity is related to the heavy atom effect of halogen atoms on corroles. 展开更多

Three mononuclear oxovanadium complexes [VO(Hbid)(CF3PIP)] (1) (Hbid=(E)-2-(2-hydroxybenzylideneamino) isoindoline-1,3-dione, CF3PIP=2-(2-trifluoromethyl phenyl)imidazole[4,5-f][1,10] phenanthroline), [VO(Hbid)(m-CF3PIP)];(2) (m-CF3PIP=2-(3-trifluoromethyl phenyl)imidazole [4, 5-f][1,10]phenanthroline) and [VO(Hbid)(p-CF3PIP)];(3) (p-CF3PIP=2-(4-trifluoromethyl phenyl) imidazole[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, molar conductance, ES-MS and 1H NMR. The DNA-binding properties of these complexes were studied by using UV-Vis absorption titration, fluorescence spectra, viscosity measurements and thermal denaturation studies. The results show that 1, 2 and 3 interact with calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) by intercalation modes and the magnitude of their intrinsic binding constants (Kb values) follows the order: 2 < 1 < 3. Furthermore, their photocleavage properties with pBR322 plasmid DNA were investigated by agarose gel electrophoresis experiments. The DNA cleavage capacity of complex 3 is also stronger than that of 1 and 2. 展开更多

Two new ruthenium(Ⅱ) complexes, [Ru(btz)3](ClO4)2 (1) and [Ru(btz)(dppz)2](ClO4)2 (2) (btz = 4,4′-bithi-azole, dppz = dipyrido[3,2-a:2′,3′-c]phenazine), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysi... Two new ruthenium(Ⅱ) complexes, [Ru(btz)3](ClO4)2 (1) and [Ru(btz)(dppz)2](ClO4)2 (2) (btz = 4,4′-bithi-azole, dppz = dipyrido[3,2-a:2′,3′-c]phenazine), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, 1H NMR, ES-MS and X-ray crystallography. The DNA binding behaviors of two complexes have been studied by spectroscopic and viscosity measurements. The results suggest that complex 1 binds to CT-DNA via an electrostatic mode, while complex 2 via an intercalative mode. Under irradiation at 365 nm, both complexes were found to promote the cleavage of plasmid pBR 322 DNA from supercoiled form Ⅰ to nicked form Ⅱ. The mechanism studies reveal that singlet oxygen 1O2 and hydroxyl radical (OH-) play a significant role in the photocleavage process. 展开更多

A photocleavable low-molecular-weight hydrogelator (LMWG) was synthesized based on coumarin derivative.~1H NMR and UV spectroscopy study suggested that the gelator had good gelling ability, and the driving force for the gelation were hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking. This molecular hydrogel exhibited satisfied photocleavage at C-N bond in 7-amino coumarin with the light irradiation (365 nm,77.5 mW/cm^2). The promising photo-triggered drug release of antineoplastics cytarabine hydrochloride has been obtained, due to the photocleavage motived gel-sol transition. 展开更多
