This research examined graduate students in physical education TA (teaching assistant) positions instructing lower level classes, and how classroom management skills prior to student teaching may improve the quality of TA classroom instruction. A survey was conducted with TA graduate students instructing lower level classes and an examination of their opinions and open mindedness as to the idea of education in leadership methods and class management to improve the quality of TA instruction. The following questions were examined in the survey: comparative importance between classroom management and mastery of skills, having detailed knowledge of a subject to teach entry level classes in this subject or having leadership capabilities to successfully manage the class, and knowledge level of the subjects they are teaching. This study revealed that most TAs believe that knowing and developing classroom management skills can help enhance their efficiency of content delivery for students. Thus, it is imperative for colleges and universities to seek highly qualified individuals with TA positions while providing training to improve their classroom management and leadership skills. Physical education teachers play an important role in helping students' development of the motor skills needed to be physically literate individuals. Research suggests that teacher made instructional design decisions can lead to enhanced motor skill learning. After presenting a model of evidence-based research this paper presents information that will help teachers plan and execute lessons designed to improve students' motor skills. Variables that impact motor skill learning in physical education including time, type of practice, content, presentation and organizational strategies, and student skill level are presented and discussed. A brief section on student attitudes, their relation to motor skill learning and to physical literacy is included. Motor skills are needed for physically literate people to enjoy lifelong physical activity. Physical education teachers and the decisions they make contribute to students' learning and whether the goal of physical literacy is met. 展开更多

The ultimate goal of college personnel training is "comprehensively implementing quality-oriented education and cultivating innovation-oriented personnel". The application of "harmonious teaching method" in the sports dance teaching of general colleges can help theoretically analyze the teaching process of existing sports dance actions and reveal the main reason for the gap with the goal of "comprehensive harmonious development", and also can verify the theoretical analysis results. Therefore, using teaching experiment method, experiment class and control class were selected for implementing two different teaching methods. Difference T test of small samples average was made on the acquired data for revealing the teaching effect difference between two different teaching methods. The result shows that the difference between two teaching methods was significant. The application of "harmonious teaching method" in the sports dance teaching of physical education of general colleges plays a certain positive role in training the comprehensive and harmonious moral, intellectual and physical developments of college students. 展开更多

The study delves into the online teaching practice that uses "Rain Classroom" for the school-based curriculum of college English and explored whether such a teaching mode can arouse students’ interests in learning,and enhance their learning effect and satisfaction by means of a questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews to collect feedback from students of art or physical education majors on the effectiveness of Rain Classroom-based teaching for quantitative and qualitative analysis.The collected data indicates that this teaching mode was greatly accepted by these students,who showed strong interests in learning,but as they were not disciplined much in their studies,their learning effect was not significant.Therefore,this paper concluded therefore that we should integrate such smart teaching modes as Rain Classroom with traditional classroom teaching styles to tap the benefits of blended learning which features the combination of information technology(IT) with foreign language teaching. 展开更多
