The impact of “Big Five” on physical health is here explored for older Europeans with a focus on examining age groups differences. The study sample included 378,500 respondents derived from the seventh data wave of Survey of Health, Aging and Retirement in Europe (SHARE). The physical health status of older Europeans was estimated by constructing an index considering the combined effect of well-established health indicators such as the number of chronic diseases, mobility limitations, limitations with basic and instrumental activities of daily living, and self-perceived health. This index was used for an overall physical health assessment, for which the higher the score for an individual, the worst health level. Then, through a dichotomization process applied to the retrieved Principal Component Analysis scores, a two-group discrimination (good or bad health status) of SHARE participants was obtained as regards their physical health condition, allowing for further con-structing logistic regression models to assess the predictive significance of “Big Five” and their protective role for physical health. Results showed that neuroti-cism was the most significant predictor of physical health for all age groups un-der consideration, while extraversion, agreeableness and openness were not found to significantly affect the self-reported physical health levels of midlife adults aged 50 up to 64. Older adults aged 65 up to 79 were more prone to open-ness, whereas the oldest old individuals aged 80 up to 105 were mainly affected by openness and conscientiousness. .展开更多

Students with open memories also reported more trips to the doctor. 常读此类文章,我的辨证思维也会有所长进。比如,文中的这句写地何等好啊: But bringing closure to a past event does not necessarily mean that you have to be brutally honest with yourself. Beike said that people often remember events somewhat differently than how they actually happened.】展开更多

So we note that long-term "Health Qignng .WuQinxi" practice can improve the physical health of the university students, and assess the students who failed to meet health standards physically, and fmally realize our hope promoting the comprehensive development of university students.
文摘“圆满人生”只是一种祈盼和祝愿。自古人生谁无痛?本文作者是一位美国人,他列举了以下人生痛苦:such as the death of a close friend or relative, rape, incest(乱伦),a home fire or a painful break-up,这里所列仅人生痛苦之一隅而已。但是,你如何对待这些人生之苦?是铭记于心,并时时“重温”,使之成为open memories?还是彻底封存,置于脑后,使之成为closed memories?读罢本文,你也许会幡然醒悟。因为open memories有如下罪状: Students who had open memories of traumatic events scored lower on questionnaires measuring self-confidence than students with closed memories of traumatic events or students who had never experienced trauma. Students with open memories also reported more trips to the doctor. 常读此类文章,我的辨证思维也会有所长进。比如,文中的这句写地何等好啊: But bringing closure to a past event does not necessarily mean that you have to be brutally honest with yourself. Beike said that people often remember events somewhat differently than how they actually happened.】

文摘BACKGROUND Over the last few decades,3 pathogenic pandemics have impacted the global population;severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus(SARS-CoV),Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus(MERS-CoV)and SARS-CoV-2.The global disease burden has attributed to millions of deaths and morbidities, with the majority being attributed to SARS-CoV-2.As such, the evaluation of the mental health(MH)impact across healthcare professionals(HCPs),patients and the general public would be an important facet to evaluate to better understand short, medium and long-term exposures.AIM To identify and report:(1)MH conditions commonly observed across all 3 pandemics;(2)Impact of MH outcomes across HCPs,patients and the general public associated with all 3 pandemics;and(3)The prevalence of the MH impact and clinical epidemiological significance.METHODS A systematic methodology was developed and published on PROSPERO(CRD42021228697).The databases PubMed,EMBASE,ScienceDirect and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials were used as part of the data extraction process, and publications from January 1,1990 to August 1,2021 were searched.MeSH terms and keywords used included Mood disorders,PTSD,Anxiety,Depression,Psychological stress,Psychosis,Bipolar,Mental Health,Unipolar,Self-harm,BAME,Psychiatry disorders and Psychological distress. The terms were expanded with a‘snowballing’method.Cox-regression and the Monte-Carlo simulation method was used in addition to I2 and Egger’s tests to determine heterogeneity and publication bias.RESULTS In comparison to MERS and SARS-CoV,it is evident SAR-CoV-2 has an ongoing MH impact, with emphasis on depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.CONCLUSION It was evident MH studies during MERS and SARS-CoV was limited in comparison to SARS-CoV-2,with much emphasis on reporting symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress and sleep disturbances. The lack of comprehensive studies conducted during previous pandemics have introduced limitations to the“know-how”for clinicians and researchers to better support patients and deliver care with limited healthcare resources.

文摘Astronauts are under high stress for a long time because of the microgravity condition, which leads to anxiety, affects their learning and memory abilities, and seriously impairs the health of astronauts.Aromatherapy can improve the physical and mental health of astronauts in a way that moisturizes them softly and silently. However, the strong volatility of fragrances and inconvenience of aroma treatment greatly limit their application in the field of spaceflight. In this study, reactive mesoporous silica nanoparticles were prepared to encapsulate and slowly release limonene. The limonene loaded nanoparticles were named limonene@mesoporous silica nanoparticles-cyanuric chloride(LE@MSNs-CYC).LE@MSNs-CYC were then applied to wallpaper to improve the convenience of aromatherapy.LE@MSNs-CYC could chemically react with the wallpaper, thus firmly adsorbed on the wallpaper. In the following, the mice were treated with hindlimb unloading(HU)to simulate a microgravity environment. The results showed that 28-day HU led to an increase in the level of anxiety and declines in learning, memory, and physical health in mice.LE@MSNs-CYC showed significant relief effects on anxiety, learning, memory, and physical health of HU treated mice.Subsequently, the molecular mechanisms were explored by hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis related hormones,immune-related cytokines, learning, and memory-related neurotransmitters and proteins.

文摘Physical health plays an important role in overall well-being of the human beings. It is the most observed dimension of health among others such as social, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and environmental dimensions.Due to exponential increase in the development of wireless communication techniques,Internet of Things(IoT)has effectively penetrated different aspects of human lives.Healthcare is one of the dynamic domains with ever-growing demands which can be met by IoT applications.IoT can be leveraged through several health service offerings such as remote health and monitoring services, aided living, personalized treatment, and so on.In this scenario,Deep Learning(DL)models are employed in proficient disease diagnosis. The current research work presents a new IoT-based physical health monitoring and management method using optimal Stacked Sparse Denoising Autoencoder(SSDA)technique i.e.,OSSDA.The proposed model utilizes a set of IoT devices to collect the data from patients.Imbalanced class problem poses serious challenges during disease diagnosis process. So,the OSSDA model includes Synthetic Minority Over-Sampling Technique(SMOTE)to generate artificial minority class instances to balance the class distribution.Further, the hyperparameter settings of the OSSDA model exhibit heavy influence upon the classification performance of SSDA technique. The number of hidden layers, sparsity, and noise count are determined by Sailfish Optimizer(SFO).In order to validate the effectiveness and performance of the proposed OSSDA technique,a set of experiments was conducted on diabetes and heart disease datasets. The simulation results portrayed a proficient diagnostic outcome from OSSDA technique over other methods. The proposed method achieved the highest accuracy values i.e.,0.9604 and 0.9548 on the applied heart disease and diabetes datasets respectively.
文摘The general objective of this article was to construct and describe the psychometric properties of a scale of selfcare behaviors against COVID-19.It was a descriptive,cross-sectional,psychometric validation study of a scale created to measure self-care behaviors in relation to COVID-19 in a total sample of 333 probabilistically selected.Qualitative validity was evaluated by a review of 10 experts and quantitative validity by means of exploratory factor analysis using the principal components method.Internal consistency was measured with Cronbach’s alpha twice and the test-retest was evaluated by calculating the intraclass coefficient. The final scale consisted of 29 items. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test of adequacy yielded a value of 0.926,and the Bartlett’s test of sphericity X^(2)=4611 with a p-value<0.001.The variance explained by the three retained factors with a total of 29 items was 50.03%.The Cronbach’s alpha internal consistency evaluation yielded an initial value of 0.923 and,in a second evaluation, showed a value of 0.936.In addition, the intraclass coefficient in the test-retest yielded a value of 0.929.The instrument created and validated possessed the necessary conditions as a useful and reliable tool for measuring self-care behaviors in relation to COVID-19 in a population of university students and it is important that it can be applied in other regions of the world.
