The contents of the PANI films, surface elements, electrochromic property and electrical conductivity were characterized by energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS), cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The experimental results show that differences exist among cycle stability, redox reversibility and response time of polyaniline films on these two kinds of substrates, but the electrochromic phenomenon of the PANI films is in substantial agreement. The equilibrium transmittance spectra in the visible region (400-800 nm) for the PANI film on flexible PET/ITO substrate was obtained at different applied potential from -0.4 to 1.5 V. The results show that the transmittance of the PANI film by applying voltage is adjustable in a row and has excellent electrochromic performance.展开更多

The dependence of resistivity on deposition parameters, such as deposition rate, target-to-substrate distance (TSD), oxygen flow rate and sputtering time (thickness), has been investigated, together with the structural and the optical properties. It was revealed that all ITO films exhibited lattice expansion. The resistivity of ITO thin films shows significant substrate effect: much lower resistivity and broader process window have been reproducibly achieved for the deposition of ITO films onto polyester rather than those prepared on both Si and glass substrates. The films with resistivity of as low as 4.23 x 10^-4 Ω.cm and average transmittance of ~78% at wavelength of 400~700 nm have been achieved for the films on polyester at room temperature.展开更多

The results indicated that increases in volatile compounds (acetaldehyde, 2-butanone, 2-nanonane, ethyl acetate), titratable acidity, ash and fat contents inversely correlated with the overall acceptability score of the yoghurt. However, diacetyl, C4 to C12 free fatty acids, pH, whiteness index and texture positively correlated with overall acceptability of the yoghurt products. It was concluded that the acceptability of the Turkish set-type yoghurts is mainly governed by the fifteen volatile compounds as well as the physico-chemical properties determined. Thus, the overall acceptability of the yoghurts was not influenced by a single characteristic, but rather by complex in nature.展开更多

The results showed that there were significant differences (P<0.05, 0.01, or 0.001) and variations in physico-chemical indices, volatile aroma compounds and volatile free fatty acid profiles among the yoghurt brands, which ultimately influence the flavor quality of the product. Acetaldehyde was predominant volatile compound in yoghurts, which followed by acetone, acetoin, diacetyl and ethanol. The level of diacetly was inversely related to titratable acidity, acetaldehyde and ethanoic acid. From ketones with high carbones 2-undecanone and 2-pentadecanone were higher than 2-butanone, 2-nanonane and 2-tridecanone. These ketones are related to fat content of yoghurt. Among short chain free fatty acids, ethanoic (acetic) acid was the most abundant in yoghurts, followed by hexanoic, octanoic and butanoic acids. These differences in detected chemical compositions of volatile compounds and free fatty acids would be applicable to predict flavor, nutritional value, quality control or shelf-life of the commmercial set-type Turkish yoghurts.展开更多

The hysteresis loops with different magnitudes and orientations of the stress can be classified into three types. The corresponding physical conditions for each type of the loop are deduced based on the principle of minimal energy. The equation of the critical stress is derived, which can judge whether the loops show hysteresis or not. Numerical calculations suggest that except for the magnitude of the mechanical stress, the relative orientation of the stress is also an important factor to tune the exchange bias effect.展开更多

The optical properties of ITO films on F46 and PI including transmittance and reflectance in visible, near-infrared, and infrared spectral regions were obtained, and the surface morphology, and optical and electrical properties of ITO/F46 and ITO/PI after vacuum ultraviolet irradiation were investigated. The results showed that the mean transmittances of ITO/F46 and ITO/PI decreased and the sheet resistance increased after the irradiation, and these effects were mainly attributed to the greater surface roughness and crystal defects caused by the irradiation.展开更多

The ion velocity distribution function(IVDF), the maximum ion energy and ion flux density were measured at the substrate by a retarding field energy analyzer. The sputtering behavior was investigated by the electric characteristics of target and bias discharges using voltage–current probe technique. It was found that the substrate bias led to the decrease of sputtering power, voltage and current with the amplitude <7.5%. The substrate bias also led to the broadening of IVDFs and the increase of ion flux density, made the energy divergent of ions impacting the substrate. This effect was further enhanced by increasing bias power and reducing discharge pressure.展开更多

The Raman and SEM results show that grain size decreases and non-diamond impurities increase for applying grid and substrate bias currents. The defects and impurities in the film increase with the decrease of grain size, which causes the decrease of hardness and elastic modulus of diamond films. The fracture toughness of film increases because of the grain size effects by applying bias. The grid bias and substrate bias make the friction coefficient smaller because of the smaller grain size and lubricating effect of graphite in the film. But the excessively high substrate bias current will lead to the dramatic decrease of mechanical properties of CVD diamond as a lot of non-diamond impurities appear in the film.展开更多

In addition,a preferred epitaxial configuration of(110)-orientated Ni_(0.92)Mn_(1.08) As on(001)-orientated GaAs is revealed by synchrotron radiation measurement. The magnetic properties of the films are found to be significantly influenced by the growth temperature and the optimized growth temperature is determined to be ~370℃. According to the results of x-ray absorption spectroscopy, these phenomena can be attributed to the variation of the local electronic structure of the Mn atoms. Our work provides useful information for the further investigations of NiMnAs, which is a theoretically predicted half-metal.展开更多

It is found that the resistivity of the trap-rich layer of generation 2(TR-G2)is higher than that of generation 1(TR-G1), although the crystal morphologies of the trap rich layers are the same. In addition, the rf performance of two-generation TR-SOI substrates is investigated by coplanar waveguide lines and inductors. The results show that both the rf loss and the second harmonic distortion of TR-G2 are smaller than those of TR-G1. These results can be attributed to the higher resistivity values of both the trap-rich layer and the high-resistivity silicon(HR-Si) substrate of TR-G2. Moreover, the rf performance of the TR-SOI substrate with thicker buried oxide is slightly better. The second harmonics of various TR-SOI substrates are simulated and evaluated with the harmonic quality factor model as well. It can be predicted that the TR-SOI substrate will see further improvement in rf performance if the resistivities of both the trap-rich layer and HR-Si substrate increase.展开更多

The films with resistivity of as low as 4.23 x 10^-4 Ω.cm and average transmittance of ~78% at wavelength of 400~700 nm have been achieved for the films on polyester at room temperature.
文摘Sensory properties and physico-chemical parameters of 10 most popular brands of commercial set-type Turkish yoghurts were evaluated and correlation coefficients between the two indices were investigated. Thus, the overall acceptability of the yoghurts was not influenced by a single characteristic, but rather by complex in nature.
文摘Ten most popular brands of commercial Turkish set-type yoghurts were collected from local retail outlets in Hatay, Turkey for two separate periods, and analyzed for basic nutrients, physico-chemical properties, volatile aroma compounds and free fatty acid profiles to compare their differences among the yoghurt products. These differences in detected chemical compositions of volatile compounds and free fatty acids would be applicable to predict flavor, nutritional value, quality control or shelf-life of the commmercial set-type Turkish yoghurts.

文摘Effect of mechanical stress on magnetic properties of an exchange-biased ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic bilayer deposited on a flexible substrate is investigated. The hysteresis loops with different magnitudes and orientations of the stress can be classified into three types. The corresponding physical conditions for each type of the loop are deduced based on the principle of minimal energy. The equation of the critical stress is derived, which can judge whether the loops show hysteresis or not. Numerical calculations suggest that except for the magnitude of the mechanical stress, the relative orientation of the stress is also an important factor to tune the exchange bias effect.

文摘The flexibility of nanoparticle films is a topic of rapidly growing interest in both scientific and engineering researches due to their numerous potential applications in a broad range of wearable electronics and biomedical devices. This article presents the elucidation of the properties of nanoparticle films. Here,a flexible film is fabricated based on polyethylene terephthalate(PET)and magnetic iron oxide at the nanoscale using layer-by-layer technology. The 2D thin flexible film material can be bent at different angles from 0°to 360°.With an increase in elastic deformation angles, the magnetocaloric effect of the film gradually increases in the alternating magnetic field. The test results from a vibrating sample magnetometer and a low-frequency impedance analyzer demonstrate that the film has a good magnetic response and anisotropy. The magnetocaloric effect and magnetic induction effect are controlled by deformation, providing a new idea for the application of elastic films. It combines the flexibility of the nanoparticle PET substrate and,in the future,it may be used for skin adhesion for administration and magnetic stimulation control.

文摘This study investigated indium tin oxide(ITO) films that were deposited on fluororesin-46(F46) and polyimide(PI) transparent flexible substrates by a DC magnetron sputtering system. The results showed that the mean transmittances of ITO/F46 and ITO/PI decreased and the sheet resistance increased after the irradiation, and these effects were mainly attributed to the greater surface roughness and crystal defects caused by the irradiation.

文摘The effect of radio-frequency substrate bias on ion properties and sputtering behavior of 2 MHz magnetron discharge was investigated. This effect was further enhanced by increasing bias power and reducing discharge pressure.

文摘Diamond films were prepared at different grid bias and substrate bias in hot filament chemical vapor deposition (HFCVD) system. But the excessively high substrate bias current will lead to the dramatic decrease of mechanical properties of CVD diamond as a lot of non-diamond impurities appear in the film.

文摘Single-phase Ni_(0.92)Mn_(1.08) As films with strained C_(1b) symmetry are grown on GaAs(001) substrates. Our work provides useful information for the further investigations of NiMnAs, which is a theoretically predicted half-metal.
文摘Al-doped ZnO(AZO)thin films were deposited on glass substrates by rf-sputtering at room temperature. The effects of substrate rotation speed(ωS)on the morphological, structural, optical and electrical properties were investigated.SEM transversal images show that the substrate rotation produces dense columnar structures which were found to be better defined under substrate rotation.AFM images show that the surface particles of the samples formed under substrate rotation are smaller and denser than those of a stationary one, leading to smaller grain sizes.XRD results show that all films have hexagonal wurtzite structure and preferred c-axis orientation with a tensile stress along the c-axis.The average optical transmittance was above90%in UV-Vis region. The lowest resistivity value(8.5×10?3Ω·cm)was achieved atωS=0r/min,with a carrier concentration of1.8×1020cm?3,and a Hall mobility of4.19cm2/(V·s).For all other samples, the substrate rotation induced changes in the carrier concentration and Hall mobility which resulted in the increasing of electrical resistivity. These results indicate that the morphology, structure, optical and electrical properties of the AZO thin films are strongly affected by the substrate rotation speed.

文摘Crystal morphologies and resistivity of polysilicon trap-rich layers of two-generation trap-rich silicon-on-insulator(TR-SOI) substrates are studied. It can be predicted that the TR-SOI substrate will see further improvement in rf performance if the resistivities of both the trap-rich layer and HR-Si substrate increase.
