According to the theory of preferred plane, preferred planes (faults) alwayscontrol the distribution of bedrock fissure water and hold abundant groundwater. Thus, theexploration of fissure or karst water can be converted into searching for the watery preferred plane(WPP). In the paper, the characteristic of watery preferred planes is analyzed and a series ofsuperior indices has been set up. It is introduced that WPPs are determined by the methods ofgeological analysis, superior index and complex geophysical analysis. Meanwhile, new multiple modelfor water resource development in the water-scarce areas of karst mountainous regions are advanced. 展开更多

Seepage and stress redistribution are the main factors affecting the stability of surrounding rock in high-pressure hydraulic tunnels. In this work, the effects of the seepage field were firstly simplified as a seepage factor acting on the stress field, and the equilibrium equation of high pressure inner water exosmosis was established based on physical theory. Then, the plane strain theory was used to solve the problem of elasticity, and the analytic expression of surrounding rock stress was obtained. On the basis of criterion of Norway, the influences of seepage, pore water pressure and buried depth on the characteristics of the stress distribution of surrounding rocks were studied. The analyses show that the first water-filling plays a decisive role in the stability of the surrounding rock; the influence of seepage on the stress field around the tunnel is the greatest, and the change of the seepage factor is approximately consistent with the logarithm divergence. With the effects of the rock pore water pressure, the circumferential stress shows the exchange between large and small, but the radial stress does not.Increasing the buried depth can enhance the arching effect of the surrounding rock, thus improving the stability. 展开更多

The wavefront recording plane (WRP), subsequently generalized to be known as the virtual diffraction plane (VDP), is a recent concept that has been successfully deployed in fast generation and processing of digital holograms. In brief, the WRP and its extension, the VDP, is a hypothetical plane that is located between the hologram and the object scene, and which is at close proximity to the latter. As such, the fringe patterns on the hypothetical plane are carrying the holistic information of the hologram, as well as the local optical properties of the object scene. This important property enables a hologram to be processed with classical image processing techniques that are normally unsuitable for handling holographic information. In this paper we shall review a number of works, that have been developed based on the framework of the WRP and the VDP. 展开更多
