Study on Plant Landscape Design of Urban Comprehensive Park

The urban comprehensive park is the main body of the urban environment construction, and the plant landscape is the most important landscape element of the comprehensive park. It is helpful for the landscape design of the comprehensive park to improve the environmental quality and the sustainable development of the city. Taking the ＂Nanjiang Park＂ in Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou as the research object, the landscape design of plants was explored and analyzed. The results showed that there were significant differences in the application forms of plant land- scapes in different functional zones in comprehensive parks. The specific forms of the garden elements had different needs of plant landscape construction. According to the results of case studies, it found that comprehensive parks could improve the functions, create the aesthetic sense, enhance the atmosphere and enhance the taste through plant landscape design. In addition, corresponding suggestions were put forward according to the current situation with the aim to provide references for the future plant landscape design related with garden greens.

Influence of Huizhou Culture on Plant Landscapes in Huizhou-style Gardens

Huizhou-style gardens have been greatly influenced by Huizhou culture, their plant landscapes have also been integrated with various aspects of Huizhou culture, which demonstrated the ideology, historical and cultural connotation of the society in an abstract and impalpable way. In this study, Huizhou-style miniature landscapes, plants of virtual implications, flowers or fruit trees of special connotations are taken for examples to analyze the influence of Xin’an Neo-Confucianism on plant landscapes in Huizhou-style gardens, the demonstration of Huizhou businessmen’s aesthetic tastes, as well as folk cultures of Huizhou, which implies that plant landscapes in Huizhou-style gardens are those incorporating with humanistic spirits, ornamental and practical uses. This study aims to provide references for further researches in the present situation of ancient Huizhou areas, protection of ancient Huizhou-style gardens and construction of new-style Huizhou gardens.

Entropy Method Based Evaluation for Plant Landscape in Tourist Scenic Spots

Taking five scenic spots in southeast region of Tibet as research objects,this paper calculated the weight of plant landscape evaluation system by entropy weight method,and compared the plant landscape in scenic spots from aesthetic effect,ecological harmony and service functions. The results show that the rank of the comprehensive attributes from high to low is as follows: Nanyigou,Lulang Forest,Kading Mountain Waterfall,Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon,and Basomtso Lake.

This paper reviewed basic principles of small courtyard landscape design, and analyzed the way of integrating plants and other landscape elements in small courtyards.

Plant Landscape Design Language of Small Street Parks in Tropical Coastal Regions:A Case Study of Zhanjiang City

Small urban street parks play an irreplaceable role in protecting ecological environment of cities and beautifying living spaces of citizens, in these parks plant is an essential landscaping element that can not only improve environmental quality, but also provide visual enjoyment for viewers. There are many small street parks in Zhanjiang City, however, plant landscapes in such parks lack in regional characteristics because of blind copy and random planting. By analyzing plant landscapes in typical street parks in Zhanjiang, and borrowing the theoretical research framework of linguistics, this paper concluded the vocabulary, sentence,chapter and grammatical rules of plant landscape design, in order to explore new methods for the plant landscape design of small parks in tropical coastal regions.

Restoration of Plant Landscapes in the Building Complex of Chanfu Temple and Wanfo Tower in Beihai Park

To restore plant landscapes in the building complex of Chanfu Temple and Wanfo Tower in Beihai Park, this paper proposed to review the historical development, explored plant selection and confi guration in Buddhist temple in the same period and same region, consulted literatures and fi gured out aesthetic intentions of the original owner. In addition, on the basis of further analysis of current situation and multiple bases as well as modern people's visiting and use needs, the paper gave suggestions for the plant confi guration of the temple.

Plant landscape of flower sea is the aesthetic refinement and essential configuration of flowers, it portrays a gorgeous picture in urban green patches, and becomes a focus of modern urban landscaping. Flower sea plants in modern gardens are characterized by harmonious seasonal aspects, wild fun, and ecolandscape connectivity; configurations of diversified flower sea plant species cater for psychological needs of urban residents; in the creation of flower sea plant landscapes, suitable flower species should be selected, new images of suburbs highlighted, ecological and environmental conservation stressed, and landscape experience fully explored.

Investigation and Aesthetic Assessment of Plant Landscapes in Southwest University of Science and Technology

Through field investigation and comprehensive analysis, this paper classified green space system on campus of Southwest University of Science & Technology into points, lines and surfaces, and used basic theories of ecology, botany, garden aesthetics, and plant landscape assessment to analyze ornamental characteristics, seasonal changes, spatial layers and cultural connotations of its typical plant landscapes, so as to assess campus plant landscape comprehensively in the near future.

Investigation and Analysis of Main Diseases of Landscape Plants in the Main Urban Area of Lu'an City

To figure out the disease occurrence of landscape plants in the main urban area of Lu'an City,the author investigated the disease occurrence of landscape plants in park green space,residential green space,unit attached green space and main road in the area under administration.The survey results showed that there were 29 species of urban landscape plant diseases,mainly powdery mildew and spot diseases.According to the characteristics of the diseases,the causes and problems of the diseases were analyzed,and the corresponding prevention and control measures were put forward.

Application Research of Water-saving and Drought-resistant Landscape Plants:A Case Study of Inner Mongolia Drought-resistant Mongolian Grasses

Construction of "water-saving landscape architecture" is a crucial content of building "conservation-minded society'',an important approach of ensuring the sustainable development of landscaping industry.It targets at exploring a reasonable means of using the nature,so as to improve ecological conditions and environment,save resources and energies,and promote the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.Landscape plant is a significant component of landscape architecture,it is a key section to choose proper drought-resistant plant species for the landscape construction.

Research on the Evaluation System of Woody Landscape Plants Maintenance

The maintenance management of urban landscape plants play an important role in bringing their landscape and ecological functions into full play.In this paper,analytic hierarchy process(AHP)was used to select 13 specific indicators to construct the evaluation system of woody landscape plant maintenance effectiveness from 3 aspects of ornamental,growth status and soil condition combined with qualitative and quantitative analysis,with the aim to explore an effective and scientific method to evaluate the effectiveness of landscape plant maintenance.

Introduction of Woody Landscape Plants in Linzhi City of Tibet

To figure out current landscaping of Linzhi City, analyze the basic situation of local landscaping quantitatively, and solve related problems in landscaping, this paper applied the 'five-point sampling method' for the layered survey of landscape plant communities, investigated landscape plant species and their application in different regions of Tibet, particularly current landscaping, features and problems of Linzhi City, and put forward corresponding measures. The investigation covered 321 species(cultivars) of 196 genera, 87 families. The results showed that(1) Salix alba, Ligustrum × vicaryi, Poa pratensis had the highest importance value in the tree layer, shrub layer and herb layer, respectively, and the importance value was 68.620, 24.139 and 35.747, respectively.(2) Among all landscape plants in Linzhi City, the most applied families were Rosaceae(48), Salicaceae(21), Asteraceae(20), Leguminosae(20), Gramineae(19), Pinaceae(16), Cupressaceae(13) and Oleaceae(12), accounting for 14.95%, 6.54%, 6.23%, 6.23%, 5.92%, 4.98%, 4.05% and 3.73% of the total investigated species.(3) Natural environment of the plateau was the most influential restraint for local landscaping, and the application of landscape plants varied greatly among regions.(4) The local area was endowed with rich landscape plant resources, but these resources were not ful y developed.

Investigation of Diversity of Local Landscape Plants in Tibet and Analysis of Their Application Potential

To study the basic situation of application of local landscape plants in Tibet, local landscape plants in Tibet was investigated firstly by using "biological five-point method". The results show that 213species(including breed) of local landscape plants were applied in Tibet, belonging to 148 genera and 66 families. In the arbor layer, shrub layer and herbaceous layer, the importance of Picea likiangensis Pritz.var. likiangensis Cheng et L. K. Fu, Platycladus orientalis Franco cv. Sieboldii, and Poa pratensis L. were the highest, namely 43.050, 19.696 and 45.950. Rosaceae, Salicaceae, Fabaceae, Poaceae, Pinaceae, Asteraceae,and Cupressaceae were applied mostly, including 25, 16, 12, 11, 10, 9 and 8 species of plants, accounting for11.73%, 7.51%, 5.63%, 5.16%, 4.69%, 4.23% and 3.76% of the investigated plants respectively. Based on this, 11 species of good local landscape plants in Tibet were selected to analyze their application potential in gardens. Rational suggestions about the development and utilization of local landscape plants in Tibet were proposed finally.

Landscape Plant Selection and Configuration of Golf Course: A Case Study of Golf Course in Overseas Chinese Town, Yunnan

This paper introduced landscape plant selection and configuration on the golf course of Yunnan Overseas Chinese Town(OCT Yunnan) briefly, divided the course into mountain view course, lake view course and landscape avenue. Considering figures, growth habits and ecological characters of landscape plants, various trees, shrubs, grasses, vines and water flowers are arranged reasonably in different functional areas. In terms of plant selection, tree species adaptive to local climate are adopted, more efforts given to the seasonal aspects, lines, colors, layers, balance, and rhythm, so as to create a garden-like golf course in a short term.

Investigation and Analysis of Woody Landscape Plant Resources in Jinan City

To know the species composition, life form, seasonal features and application of woody landscape plants in Jinan City, woody landscape plants in the city were investigated comprehensively. The investigation shows that there are 535 woody landscape plant species in the city in total(including variants, subspecies and cultivars), belonging to 199 genera of 77 families. Among the 535 species, there are 49 gymnosperm species of 16 genera, 5 families, 486 angiosperm species of 183 genera, 72 families(including 467 dicotyledon species of 174 genera, 69 families, 19 monocotyledon species of 9 genera, 3 families). The fi gures refl ect rich woody landscape plants in Jinan City. There are 286 tree species, accounting for 53.4% of the total species; 216 shrub species, accounting for 40.4% of the total; 33 vine species, accounting for 6.2% of the total, thus tree and shrub species are diversifi ed, while vine species are limited. Among all tree species, there are 103 evergreen species, accounting for 19.25% of the total; 432 deciduous species, accounting for 80.75% of the total; so deciduous tree species occupy a prominent position. Woody plants in Jinan City are applied in diversifi ed forms, but seldom in innovative forms. Problems in the current application of woody landscape plants in the local area are summarized as(a) there are diversifi ed tree species, but only a few of them are applied in high effi ciency;(b) evergreen tree species are less used;(c) indigenous tree species are insuffi ciently used. Therefore, suggestions are given as(i) combine landscape plants scientifi cally;(ii) promote indigenous tree species;(iii) introduce and domestic new species actively. The investigation results provide scientifi c theoretical support for the sustainable utilization of woody plant resources in Jinan City.

Landscapes Construction of Ecological, Cultural and Active Residential Districts with the Design of Longji Flower City as an Example

With the accelerating development of modern residential districts and the improvement of living levels, the requirement of people on environment is increasingly enhanced as well as the demand for culture. Based on people-oriented principle, this design utilized Chinese 'Fu' (blessings) culture to express people’s eager for a better life and the atmosphere of good fortune. It also produced the image of ecological environment by designing water landscapes and plant landscapes, created active space like squares for activity and active water system and developed the characteristics of residential districts by designing landscape sketches and plant landscapes.

Thinking on the Artistic Conception Creation of Plant Landscaping Design in Chinese Style Garden

In modern Chinese style garden, the designer could express the emotions in garden creation to produce artistic conception with landscape plants, which could make the sightseers desire to integrate with the nature and led to sympathizing with the concept, thereby motivating and arousing people＇s emotion to return to and close to nature. Through the 6 specific characteristics of ＂shape, color, aroma, shadow, sound and art＂ of landscape plants, some ways to build artistic conception in Chinese style garden were introduced in this study to provide references for the creation of artistic conception creation through senses in the future landscaping design.

Adsorption Ability of Green Plants to Heavy Metals in the Atmosphere of Binzhou City

Through exploring the cumulative contents of Pb, Cu and Cd, the 3 common heavy metals in air pollution, in leaves of some widely-applied green plants in different functional areas in urban districts of Binzhou City, this paper figured out its relationship with functional areas in the city, and whether green plants are selective in adsorbing heavy metals or not. The research found that cumulative content of Cu and Cd varied greatly in leaves of the same species in different functional areas, and also in leaves of different species in the same area. Populus tomentosa and Sophora japonica had the strongest capacity of adsorbing Pb, Cu and Cd in the air, which is a useful reference for the urban landscaping of Binzhou City.
