The coordination compounds of PdII, PtII, RhIII and IrIII metal ions with a Schiff base ligand (L) i.e. 2,6- diacetylpyridine bis(thiosemicarbazone) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, IR, NMR and electronic spectral studies. On the basis of molar conductance and elemental analyses the complexes were found to have composition [M(L)]Cl2 and [M’(L)Cl]Cl2, where M = Pd(II), Pt(II) and M’ = Rh(III), Ir(III). The spectral studies reveal that the complexes possess monomeric composition. Complexes of PdII and PtII were found to have four coordinated square planar geometry whereas the complexes of RhIII and IrIII posses six coordinated octahedral geometry. The ligand field parameters were calculated using various energy level diagrams. In vitro synthesized compounds and metal salts have been tested against some species of plant pathogenic fungi and bacteria in order to assess their antimicrobial properties. 展开更多

The efficient and stable abatement of CO pollutant under ambient conditions is of great significance;however,it remains a formidable challenge.Herein,we report the versatile application of wet oxidation over Fe(OH)x supported subnanometer Pt group metal(PGM)catalysts for the complete removal of CO under ambient temperature and humidity conditions.Typically,the 1.8 wt%Rh/Fe(OH)x catalyst exhibited better durability during a^1400 min run for wet oxidation than for dry CO oxidation.Multiple characterization results including HR-TEM,H2-TPR,and in-situ DRIFTS suggested that Fe(OH)x,with good reducibility,promoted by the subnanometer Rh clusters,provided sites for the adsorption and reaction of O2 and H2 O to form OH species.Subsequently,these OH species reacted with the adsorbed CO on Rh sites with a considerably lower activation energy(9 kJ mol^-1)than that of dissociated 0 species(22 kJ mol^-1),thus rationalizing the outstanding performance of Rh/Fe(OH)x for wet oxidation.Extended experiments with other PGMs revealed a good generality for the application of wet oxidation in the efficient abatement of CO under humid conditions with Fe(OH)x as the support. 展开更多

The metal residues can de adequately removed from the active pharmaceutical ingredients and the corresponding drugs. CO oxidation is probably the most studied reaction in heterogeneous catalysis.This reaction has become a hot topic with the discovery of nanogold catalysts,which are active at low temperatures(at or below room temperature).Au catalysts are the benchmark for judging the activities of other metals in CO oxidation.Pt-group metals(PGMs) that give comparable performances are of particular interest.In this mini-review,we summarize the advances in various PGM(Pt,Pd,Ir,Rh,Ru)catalysts that have high catalytic activities in low-temperature CO oxidation arising from reducible supports or the presence of OH species.The effects of the size of the metal species and the importance of the interface between the metal and the reducible support are covered and discussed in terms of their promotional role in CO oxidation at low temperatures. 展开更多

The method is shorter process, lower equipment requirement, and the higher activity of rhodium black. An oxygen pressure leaching-flotation joint process was proposed to treat Jinbaoshan platinum group minerals to produce a desired concentrate. The result demonstrates that leaching parameters which include particle size, stirring speed, liquid-solid ratio, and the dosage of calcium lignosulfonate, simultaneously affect the leaching rates of base metals and the recovery of platinum group metals (PGMs). The complete dissolution of base metals sulfides leads to a reduction in the amount of flotation carrier for enriching PGMs, decreasing the recovery of PGMs. The optimum leaching conditions are determined as follows: liquid-solid ratio of 10 mL/g, 73% occupancy of ore particle size below 0.043 mm, stirring speed of 400 r/min, and 0.6 g dosage of calcium lignosulfonate. Under optimal conditions, the leaching rates of Cu, Ni and Fe are 87.6%, 87.6% and 90.3%, respectively. The grade of PGMs enriched in the flotation concentrate is 420 g/t through the flotation technology. 展开更多

Metallic nanofilms are important components of nanoscale electronic circuits and nanoscale sensors.The accurate characterization of the thermophysical properties of nanofilms is very important for nanoscience and nanotechnology.Currently,there is very little specific heat data for metallic nanofilms,and the existing measurements indicate distinct differences according to the nanofilm size.The present work reports the specific heats of 40-nm-thick suspended platinum nanofilms at 80-380 K and -5 ×10-(-4) Pa using the 3 ω method.Over 80-380 K,the specific heats of the Pt nanofilms range from 166-304 J/(kg·K),which are 1.65-2.60 times the bulk values,indicating significant size effects.These results are useful for both scientific research in nanoscale thermophysics and evaluating the transient thermal response of nanoscale devices. 展开更多

Pt and Ir coatings were produced by double glow plasma technology on the surface of Ti alloy substrates. The chemical compositions of the coatings were determined by X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The microstructure and morphology of the coatings were observed by scanning electron microscopy. The hardness and elastic modulus of the coatings were estimated by nanoindentation. The measurements of adhesive forces of the coatings were performed with scratch tester. The results indicated that the Pt and Ir coatings displayed the preferred (220) orientation due to the initial nuclei with preferred growth on the surface of the substrates. The interface between the Pt coating and substrate exhibited no evidence of delamination. The Ir coating was composed of irregular columnar grains with many nanovoids at the interface between the coating and substrate. The mean values of hardness for Pt and Ir coatings were 0.9 GPa and 9 GPa, respectively. The elastic modulus of Pt and Ir coatings were 178 GPa and 339 GPa, respectively. The adhesive forces of the Pt and Ir coatings were about 66.4 N and 55 N, respectively. The Pt and Ir coatings adhered well to the Ti alloy substrates. 展开更多

Bulk compositions of metallic Fe-Ni from two equilibrated ordinary chondrites, Jilin (H5) and Anlong (H5), and two unequilibrated ones, GRV 9919 (L3) and GRV 021603 (H3), were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The CI-, Co-normalized abundances of siderophile and chalcophile elements of metallic Fe-Ni from the unequilibrated ordinary chondrites correlate with 50% condensation temperatures (i.e., volatility) of the elements. The refractory siderophile elements (i.e., platinum group elements, Re), Au, Ni and Co show a flat pattern (1.01×CI Co-normalized), while moderate elements (As, Cu, Ag, Ga, Ge, Zn) decrease with volatility from 0.63×CI (Co-normalized, As) to 0.05×CI (Co-normalized, Zn). Cr and Mn show deficit relative to the trend, probably due to their main partition in silicates and sulfides (nonmagnetic). Metallic Fe-Ni from the equilibrated ordinary chondrites shows similar patterns, except for strong deficit of Cr, Mn, Ag and Zn. It is indicated that these elements were almost all partitioned into silicates and/or sulfides during thermal metamorphism. The similar deficit of Cr, Mn, Ag and Zn was also found in iron meteorites. Our analyses demonstrate similar behaviors of W and Mo as refractory siderophile elements during condensation of the solar nebula, except for slight depletion of Mo in the L3 and H5 chondrites. The Mo-depletion of metallic Fe-Ni from GRV 9919 (L3) relative to GRV 021603 (H3) could be due to a more oxidizing condition of the former than the latter in the solar nebula. In contrast, the Mo-depletion of the metallic Fe-Ni from the H5 chondrites may reflect partition of Mo from metal to silicates and/or sulfides during thermal metamorphism in the asteroidal body. 展开更多

探索及分析铂镓合金板材的焊接工艺,旨在为铂镓合金催化网的焊接提供理论基础。试验制备了Pt-2Ga、Pt-3Ga-2Ru与Pt-5Ga的1 mm厚度板材,采用氩弧焊与不同功率的激光焊对合金进行焊接,对其焊接后的拉伸性能、断口形貌、热影响区宽度、焊... 探索及分析铂镓合金板材的焊接工艺,旨在为铂镓合金催化网的焊接提供理论基础。试验制备了Pt-2Ga、Pt-3Ga-2Ru与Pt-5Ga的1 mm厚度板材,采用氩弧焊与不同功率的激光焊对合金进行焊接,对其焊接后的拉伸性能、断口形貌、热影响区宽度、焊接区域的微观组织以及焊接区域元素成分的偏析程度等进行研究。结果表明,Pt-5Ga合金脆性较大无法满足催化网制备条件,Pt-3Ga-2Ru合金的焊接性能优于Pt-2Ga合金,同时晶粒尺寸有大幅减小的趋势。激光焊焊接件的焊接性能优于氩弧焊焊接件,热影响区的宽度更窄,元素的偏析程度也有所减小。将不同功率下的激光焊接试样进行对比后发现:焊接功率设定在350 W时对Pt-3Ga-2Ru合金的拉伸性能最好。 展开更多
