The Application of SPSS in Statistical Analysis Project-A Study of the Inheritance of Chinese Traditional Shadow Play in Schools

Chinese traditional shadow play has been selected into the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2011.Yet,reflecting abundant national cultural values,such traditional art form is degenerating and fading out from people’s sight.As the earliest statistical analysis software,Statistical Package for the Social Science(SPSS)is comprehensive in analyzing and managing statistical data.This study explores the application of SPSS in minimizing the workload of researchers while raising the validity of data in supporting the analysis of the survey data which reflected the inheritance and development of Chinese traditional shadow play in schools.

Analysis of the Females in The Glass Menagerie

Tennessee Williams is a famous American postwar playwright.Many of his works leave deep impression to audiences.The Glass Menagerie is one of his most famous works.This paper mainly explores two female characters in this play—Amanda and Laura about their tragic characteristics,which had a negative influence on the whole family and lead to Tom’s leaving home,the only male of this family after his dad left.The last part of this paper analyses why Amanda’s and Laura’s characteristics bring this play a tragic ending,because they art the victims of the patriarchal society.They had no choice and no power to change the situation.

Suitability Evaluation of Physical Activity Places in Urban Parks for Children's Play Activities:A Case Study of Four Urban Parks in Handan

Taking 4 urban parks in Handan City as the research objects, 41 suitability evaluation indicators are selected according to the relevant literature reading. The common factors are extracted through factor analysis and the importance questionnaire and summarized into 6 dimensions, namely children's play facilities and auxiliary facility quality factor, natural environment participation factor, children's play space convenience factor, artificial environment participation factor, space environment quality and safety factor, children's game activity facility perfection factor, and the weights of public factors and indicators are calculated. Then the index score is calculated through field measurement and satisfaction survey, and the IPA analysis method is used to draw the coordinate map of key optimization indicators for 4 parks. Finally, corresponding optimization suggestions are put forward for Handan urban parks according to the analysis and evaluation results.

剖析大学生逃课现象 加强学风建设

在今天的大学校园,大学生逃课现象屡禁不止,他们对学习的认识、态度及学习现状着实令人焦虑,部分人的文明素质已呈现出一种下滑的趋势。本文从学生个体、教师教学、学校机制及环境影响等多方面入手,在全方位寻找其原因的基础上,就如何遵循高等教育规律,使大学生主动回归课堂,全面提升其文明素质作了一些尝试性探讨。

Group psychological intervention for maternal depression: A nested qualitative study from Karachi, Pakistan

AIM To understand the experience of maternal depression, the factors implicated in accessing health, and the acceptability of the psychosocial intervention. METHODS The participants were recruited from the paediatrics outpatient department of Civil Hospital Karachi, Pakistan. The study started in December 2009 and completed in December 2010. Women with maternal depression, aged 18-44 years with children aged 0-30 mo who had received nutritional supplements, and participated in the intervention programme [called Learning through Play(LTP) plus] were included in the study. Qualitative interviews were conducted with 8 participants before the intervention and 7 participants after the intervention. A semi structured topic guide was used to conduct the interviews.RESULTS Framework analysis procedures were used to analyse the qualitative data. Four themes emerged:(1) the women's contextual environment: Interpersonal conflicts, lack of social support and financial issues being the major barriers in assessing healthcare;(2) women's isolation and powerlessness within the environment: Sense of loneliness was identified as a restricting factor to access healthcare;(3) the impact of the intervention(LTP-Plus): Women felt "listened to" and seemed empowered; and(4) empowered transformed women within the same contextual environment: The facilitator provided a "gardening role" in nurturing the women resulting in a positive transformation within the same environment. The women's homes seemed to be more happy homes and there was a positive change in their behaviour towards their children.CONCLUSION Findings informed the further development and testing of culturally-appropriate psychosocial intervention(LTP^+) for addressing maternal depression.

基于DEA的玩性人格与团队创新行为效率研究

评价不同企业员工玩性人格对团队创新行为效率的影响程度。针对创新行为多方面输出、玩性人格多种类输入的特点,使用层次分析法(AHP)转化多种因素成相应的综合指标;利用数据包络分析(DEAP、编程排序)评价各个企业的综合创新行为效率。结果表明:长安、格力、海能达、华宇四个企业玩性人格控制较好,其他企业都处于规模报酬递增状态。在此基础上,以长安汽车作为标杆企业,对其他企业玩性人格的影响行为提出合理的对策。

The Understanding and Development of“Curriculum Gamification”and“Curriculum-Based Game”Concepts in Chinese Kindergartens

Games are one of the basic activities in kindergartens,so what do“Curriculum gamification”and“Curriculum based Game”mean?Could kindergarten games become the curriculum?Combined with the history of curriculum development in China,Piaget’s play-stage theory and Vygotsky’s scaffold teaching theory,this paper discusses the differences in the understanding of the concept of“the transformation of curriculum and games”.Using representative cases in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces as examples,and through the analysis of the reform process of“Curriculum Gamification”and“Curriculum-based Game”in the Early Childhood Education(ECE)field,it was found that further exploration both in concept and practice is required to achieve high quality kindergarten education.

Interaction in Assessment-Oriented Role Play:A Conversation Analytic Approach

To date, only a handful of studies have investigated the interlocutor effects on peer-peer test discourse, and they focus almost exdusively on the paired format in the Cambridge speaking tests, which is mostly a discussion type collaborative task. In the oral English test administered by a Chinese university under the present study, role-play is a major test type. This study chose for analysis three out of over 100 video recordings of test takers participating in role- play-based interaction. The author adopted conversation analysis （CA） and Young＇s （2000） constructivist, practice-oriented view of interaction and competence to assist the interpretation of speech exchange throughout the interaction. It is evident from the data that learners make use of various interactional resources and employ different strategies in the assessment- based role play. It could be tentatively concluded from the conversation analysis of the paired interaction that the interaction framework together with the participants＇ strategic competence in negotiating their own interactional resources, to a great extent, determines their joint performance of the collaborative task. The configuration of pairing in terms of proficiency is found to have an impact on joint interaction performance and strategic use. The implications of the current study include： interactional competence could be more readily accessed via role play than discussion type of pair work; qualitative conversation analysis of test takers＇ actual practices can reveal what quantitative methods are unable to detect, and therefore is an indispensable complement.

A sequential estimation problem with control and discretionary stopping

We show that“full-bang”control is optimal in a problem which combines features of(i)sequential least-squares estimation with Bayesian updating,for a random quantity observed in a bath of white noise;(ii)bounded control of the rate at which observations are received,with a superquadratic cost per unit time;and(iii)“fast”discretionary stopping.We develop also the optimal filtering and stopping rules in this context.
