Application of Recursive Query on Structured Query Language Server

The advantage of recursive programming is that it is very easy to write and it only requires very few lines of code if done correctly.Structured query language(SQL)is a database language and is used to manipulate data.In Microsoft SQL Server 2000,recursive queries are implemented to retrieve data which is presented in a hierarchical format,but this way has its disadvantages.Common table expression(CTE)construction introduced in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 provides the significant advantage of being able to reference itself to create a recursive CTE.Hierarchical data structures,organizational charts and other parent-child table relationship reports can easily benefit from the use of recursive CTEs.The recursive query is illustrated and implemented on some simple hierarchical data.In addition,one business case study is brought forward and the solution using recursive query based on CTE is shown.At the same time,stored procedures are programmed to do the recursion in SQL.Test results show that recursive queries based on CTEs bring us the chance to create much more complex queries while retaining a much simpler syntax.

On untranslatability of classical Chinese poetry： From the perspective of aesthetic function of language

The author analyzes the untranslatability of the classical Chinese poetry from the perspective of aesthetic function of language. The untranslatability lies firstly in the heterogeneity, indeterminism and the ambiguity of the Chinese language itself. Moreover, the classical Chinese poetry displays its unique features and beauty which can not be rendered into English in terms of aesthetic function of language.

Structured Query Language Injection Penetration Test Case Generation Based on Formal Description

Aiming to improve the Structured Query Language( SQL) injection penetration test accuracy through the formalismguided test case generation,an attack purpose based attack tree model of SQL injection is proposed,and then under the guidance of this model, the formal descriptions for the SQL injection vulnerability feature and SQL injection attack inputs are established. Moreover,according to new coverage criteria,these models are instantiated and the executable test cases are generated.Experiments show that compared with the random enumerated test case used in other works,the test case generated by our method can detect the SQL injection vulnerability more effectively. Therefore,the false negative is reduced and the test accuracy is improved.

Evaluation Method of Web Site Structure Based on Web Structure Mining

The structure of Web site became more complex than before. During the design period of a Web site, the lack of model and method results in improper Web structure, which depend on the designer's experience. From the point of view of software engineering, every period in the software life must be evaluated before starting the next period's work. It is very important and essential to search relevant methods for evaluating Web structure before the site is completed. In this work, after studying the related work about the Web structure mining and analyzing the major structure mining methods (Page\|rank and Hub/Authority), a method based on the Page\|rank for Web structure evaluation in design stage is proposed. A Web structure modeling language WSML is designed, and the implement strategies for evaluating system of the Web site structure are given out. Web structure mining has being used mainly in search engines before. It is the first time to employ the Web structure mining technology to evaluate a Web structure in the design period of a Web site. It contributes to the formalization of the design documents for Web site and the improving of software engineering for large scale Web site, and the evaluating system is a practical tool for Web site construction.

A Type of Language Field Integrated Algorithm Used for Analysis and Control of Complicated System

A new concept of language field and its value structure are presented in this paper for the first time and a describing framework is set forth for researching computational model of reasoning. On this basis we have established a model of qualitative reasoning of causal relations and fuzzy integrated algorithm. Furthermore we have found a lot of its applications.

On the Untranslatability of Poetry

Quite a number of scholars from western to eastern have been arguing about the question of translatability and untranslatability of poetry. Robert Frost, the well-known American poet once said,"Poetry is what gets lost in translation."Even though, practice of translating poetry has never ceased. This paper argues that poetry is untranslatable from the aesthetic point of view. Poetry's language function is to convey the aesthetic effect, thus the purpose of rendering poetry is to reach the aesthetic effect. However, aesthetic effect is based on its language form; the inerasable differences between languages determine that the translation of poetry is impossible, which tends to change language form of one language to another.

Design of Roof Cover Structures by Help of Numerical Models Defined in Formian

Numerical models defined by means of a suitably assumed set of parameters make it possible to select the optimal structural solution for the given or assumed conditions. The paper presents examples of applications of numerical models defined in the programming language Formian during the shaping processes of various types of spatial structural systems designed for roof covers. These types of numerical models can be relatively easily adapted to the requirements, which can be frequently changed during the investment process, what makes possible a considerable reducing of costs and time of design of the space structures having even the very complex shapes. The advantageous features of application of numerical models defined in Formian are presented in models determined for selected forms of the roof covers designed also by means of a simple type of a space frame. In the paper, there are some presented visualizations made on bases of these models defining mainly for structural systems developed recently by the author for certain types of the dome covers. The proposed structural systems are built by means of the successive spatial hoops or they are created as unique forms of the geodesic dome structures.

The Image of an Addressee in Translational Discourse： Exemplified by the Texts Translated From Slovenian Language

Translational discourse requires at least three participants, therefore it is suggested to consider the universal model of the picture of the world, according to which it is much easier for a translator to combine the pictures of the world of an addressee and an author. An addressee is a mental image existing in the mind of an addresser during the creative process. Having defined its parameters, a translator has an opportunity to deliver the thought of an addresser to an addressee as accurately as possible and to select the means of expression that are clear to an addressee. The type of an addressee correlates with ＂the relation to the new＂.

The Violence of Modern Language in Michael Palmer＇s Sun

This thesis focuses on one of Michael Palmer's most well-known poems Sun, published in 1988, to elaborate on how the poet integrates his meditation on the nature of language with his critique of modern poetry in the recent prevailing ideologies through presenting us an absurd language world in the poem, and have a glimpse on the poet's ambiguous relationship with"Language Poetry"in this poem.

Poetry and the Limits of Language

This essay argues that poetic language offers the possibility of meaning and value,and simultaneously points beyond itself,to the limits of language,to a space differently confi gured as erasure,silence,the unsignifi able.What does it suggest,epistemologically and ontologically,if we acknowledge this double action of poetic language?What might this space beyond language be,and what difference does it make if we acknowledge this space?The essay examines four poems and the different ways in which they acknowledge such a space,drawing on the historically distinct approaches of Meister Eckhart and Jacques Derrida in order to ask what the space beyond language might be.The argument of the essay is that in acknowledging such a space something opens up for writers and readers of poetry:a different approach to knowing,and a potentially humbled ontological position.

Automatic Persian Text Summarization Using Linguistic Features from Text Structure Analysis

With the remarkable growth of textual data sources in recent years,easy,fast,and accurate text processing has become a challenge with significant payoffs.Automatic text summarization is the process of compressing text documents into shorter summaries for easier review of its core contents,which must be done without losing important features and information.This paper introduces a new hybrid method for extractive text summarization with feature selection based on text structure.The major advantage of the proposed summarization method over previous systems is the modeling of text structure and relationship between entities in the input text,which improves the sentence feature selection process and leads to the generation of unambiguous,concise,consistent,and coherent summaries.The paper also presents the results of the evaluation of the proposed method based on precision and recall criteria.It is shown that the method produces summaries consisting of chains of sentences with the aforementioned characteristics from the original text.

Writing Haiku in a Second Language： Perceptions, Attitudes, and Emotions of Second Language Learners

The aim of the current study is to discuss the value of poetry writing in an L2 （second language） by investigating perceptions, attitudes, and emotions of 20 EFL （English as a Foreign Language） college freshmen regarding writing Japanese poetry, haiku in English. This paper first discussed issues and uses of literature in L2 contexts and addressed the current empirical inquiry into L2 haiku writing as a method for L2 learning. The study was designed as a qualitative research which investigated the participants＇ reflection on writing L2 haikus for six weeks in an EFL college writing course. The data obtained was analyzed by using the coding system and showed that writing haiku in the target language was a challenging but valuable task for L2 learning among the EFL students. Especially haiku composition allowed them to develop their L2 linguistic awareness

GPU parallel computing： Programming language,debugging tools and data structures

With many cores driven by high memory bandwidth, today＇s graphics processing unit （GPU） has involved into an absolute computing workhorse. More and more scientists, researchers and software developers are using GPUs to accelerate their algorithms and ap- plications. Developing complex programs and software on the GPU, however, is still far from easy with ex- isting tools provided by hardware vendors. This article introduces our recent research efforts to make GPU soft- ware development much easier. Specifically, we designed BSGP, a high-level programming language for general- purpose computation on the GPU. A BSGP program looks much the same as a sequential C program, and is thus easy to read, write and maintain. Its performance on the GPU is guaranteed by a well-designed compiler that converts the program to native GPU code. We also developed an effective debugging system for BSGP pro- grams based on the GPU interrupt, a unique feature of BSGP that allows calling CPU functions from inside GPU code. Moreover, using BSGP, we developed GPU algorithms for constructing several widely-used spatial hierarchies for high-performance graphics applications.

Independent Learning and Language Cognition in English Poetry Teaching

English poetry is beautiful in form and rich in meaning,whereas the teaching of English poetry is as difficult as poetry creation,which calls for not only enthusiasm and inspiration, but also attractive teaching method and supportive theoretical framework. With the framework of cognitive theory, this paper illustrates the teaching practice of one of Robert Frost’s poems,in the course of which the cognitive pattern is embedded,and tries to explore the cognition-based teaching of English poetry such as the analysis of metaphor by the use of space mapping theory. It begins with the analysis of the poetic structure,which is ensued by students’ active construction of the poem’s meaning based on cognitive interpretation. Finally,students are cultivated to express their own opinions while thinking critically about the poem so as to improve their independent learning ability.

A Structured Temporal Logic Language:XYZ/SE

In order to enhance the readability and to simplify the verification of temporal logic programs in the XYZ system,we propose a structured temporal logic language called XYZ/SE,based on XYZ/BE which is the basis language of the XYZ system.A set of proof rules are given and proved to be sound and adequate for proving the partial correctness of XYZ/SE programs in a compositional way.Moreover,we show that every XYZ/BE program can be transformed into an equivalent XYZ/SE program.So we have developed a general compositional verification method in the XYZ system concerning the sequential case.

Culture Through Prism of Engaged Poetry

The paper is actually a literary research on （re）constructing cultural image of post-yugoslavian society, formed through literary sources, i.e., poetry. Using examples of award-winning young authors--Bojan Krivokapic, Mirko Bozic, and Sima Majic, different types of so-called engaged poetry are indicated. This kind of poetry is used to subtly, critically, or in a very subversive way relate to the existing world, but also a new postmodern identity is formed through specific and carefully chosen poetic lexis, deprived of any kind of structure or limitation. The poetry of mentioned authors is used as a provisory example in order to indicate that post-war period （as well as postmodern time） changes the perception of identity, from nationally and politically oriented structure to individual and subversive, conventions-free comprehension of Oneself. Although the three authors are very different in style and expression, what brings them together is tendency to escape conventional and traditional cultural images in order to emphasize the importance of Being Different, but Equally Rightful.

Rhetoric and Meaning in Poetry： The Case of Zambia

This paper aims at showing how rhetoric and meaning in Zambian poetry interact. The work analyses the definition of poetry and gives the understanding that poetry is an artistic use of language that employs figurative language for maximum effect. The work also analyses rhetoric and concludes that the sole aim of rhetoric is to persuade the audience. The use of this rhetoric is later identified as a preoccupation of most poets. After studying a number of rhetorical devices used in poetry, the work has studied selected Zambian poems and focussed on the use of rhyme and alliteration in the poems. It has been shown that there is much use of rhyme but with limited use of alliteration. In both cases, the use is not so much to the contribution to the meaning in the poetry. The poets usually use these devices for the sake of beauty and not meaning. The paper therefore suggests that poets could undergo some formal training in composition while the art is also taught to the young while in their early years in schools.

What Fails English as the Dream Language of Rural India？

Rural masses in India view English as the language of socio-economic empowerment through education. Education could be either in English or in regional languages, but children should learn English, because it is seen as the key to the world of opportunities in higher education and employment. The governments need to politically respond to the aspirations of the common masses keeping aside both politicised language policies and theoretical linguistic inputs that encourage one＇s mother tongue as the ideal medium of instruction. Onerous responsibility lays on men, methods, and materials over which government have the least say, but the practising teachers of English and academics who help bureaucrats in framing language policies in India are solely responsible for non-realization of dreams of the masses. There is something terribly rotten in the state of English-teaching enterprise in India. This paper proposes to examine the present state of affairs in the teaching of English to rural students and to offer constructive alternatives to the existing package of men, materials, and methods.

Comprehensive application and maintenance of digital language laboratories

Based on the analysis and discussion of the management on the laboratory system, equipment, personnel, technology, environmental, the maintenance of all the aspects of the language labs and the construction of the labs, this paper expounds bow to manage and maintain the digital language laboratories, puts forward some suggestions on the development and construction of the language labs, and puts forward higher requirements of the laboratory work and the quality of the management staff.
