The aim of this study was to assess the evolution of the viral load in patients under treatment. Methodology: This was a study carried out from July 2017 to June 2022 at the Point G University Hospital laboratory. The determination of the viral load of patients was carried out by PCR on the ABOTT M2000sp/rt platform. Results: A total of 129 patients infected with HIV-1, aged 19 to 72 years with a mean age of 40.05 years ± 10.71;all on antiretroviral chemotherapy. The female gender predominated among our patients. The most common treatment regimen was 2INTI + 1INNTI with 72.9% followed by 2INTI + 1INI with 13.2%. As for the combinations of molecules, the combination TDF + 3TC + EFV and TDF + 3TC + DTG predominated, respectively 65.1% and 13.2%. 89.9% of our patients had undetectable viremia after 12 months of treatment (p < 0.005) with an average viral load which had evolved from 681315.65 copies/ml ± 1616908.484 to M0 at 5742.36 copies /ml ± 35756.883 at M12 (p Conclusion: Generally speaking, antiretroviral treatment had contributed to controlling viral loads, however the therapeutic combination TDF + 3TC + DTG had made it possible to obtain more patients with undetectable viremia instead.展开更多

The objective of this study was to evaluate the level of therapeutic management of patients with hepatitis B in Pointe-Noire. Methods: A retrospective, cross-sectional, descriptive and analytical study. Results: 302 patients included: 217 (72%) men and 85 (28%) women of median age 40 years. The viral load was measured in 140 (46%) patients and in 162 (54%), the viral load was not measured. Their distribution according to the viremia was as follows: 0 - 1 log = 1 (0.7%) patients;1.5 to 2 log = 23 (16%) patients;2.5 to 3 log = 49 (35%) patients;>3log = 55 (39%) patients. Of the 302 patients included, 36 (11%) patients were treated with antivirals and 253 (83%) patients were not. Conclusion: The number of patients treated for chronic viral hepatitis B was low. Our results show interest for improved preventive and curative management of hepatitis B in Congo in order to reduce the existing high prevalence.展开更多

Results showd that in the trearment group, 6 cases were maredly effective, 27 effective and 2 ineffective, with an effective rate of 94. 29 %; in the control group, 2 cases were markedly effective, 10 effective and 18 ineffective, with an effective rate of 40. 00%. There was a significant difference between the two groups in the effective rate (P < 0.01). The acupuncture therapy is strikingly superior to treatment of prosopalgia with Western medicine and has lower side-effects and a lower recurrence rate.展开更多

Although records about the right-left compatible use of these two points can be found in documents, the same-side compatible use of them has never been heardabout. Inspired by the good therapeutic effects in the treatment of paralytic strabismus by means of the same-side compatible use of these two points1, the author has applied this compatible use of them in the treatment of craniofacial diseases and obtained obvious therapeutic effects. Some of the sample cases are reported in the following.
