文摘We propose a combined shape and topology optimization approach in this research for 3D acoustics by using the isogeometric boundary element method with subdivision surfaces. The existing structural optimization methods mainly contain shape and topology schemes, with the former changing the surface geometric profile of the structure and the latter changing thematerial distribution topology or hole topology of the structure. In the present acoustic performance optimization, the coordinates of the control points in the subdivision surfaces fine mesh are selected as the shape design parameters of the structure, the artificial density of the sound absorbing material covered on the structure surface is set as the topology design parameter, and the combined topology and shape optimization approach is established through the sound field analysis of the subdivision surfaces boundary element method as a bridge. The topology and shape sensitivities of the approach are calculated using the adjoint variable method, which ensures the efficiency of the optimization. The geometric jaggedness and material distribution discontinuities that appear in the optimization process are overcome to a certain degree by the multiresolution method and solid isotropic material with penalization.Numerical examples are given to validate the effectiveness of the presented optimization approach.

文摘This paper offers an extensive overview of the utilization of sequential approximate optimization approaches in the context of numerically simulated large-scale continuum structures. These structures, commonly encountered in engineering applications, often involve complex objective and constraint functions that cannot be readily expressed as explicit functions of the design variables. As a result, sequential approximation techniques have emerged as the preferred strategy for addressing a wide array of topology optimization challenges.Over the past several decades, topology optimization methods have been advanced remarkably and successfully applied to solve engineering problems incorporating diverse physical backgrounds. In comparison to the large-scale equation solution, sensitivity analysis, graphics post-processing,etc.,the progress of the sequential approximation functions and their corresponding optimizersmake sluggish progress.Researchers, particularly novices, pay special attention to their difficulties with a particular problem. Thus, this paper provides an overview of sequential approximation functions, related literature on topology optimization methods, and their applications.Starting from optimality criteria and sequential linear programming, the other sequential approximate optimizations are introduced by employing Taylor expansion and intervening variables. In addition, recent advancements have led to the emergence of approaches such as Augmented Lagrange, sequential approximate integer, and non-gradient approximation are also introduced.By highlighting real-world applications and case studies, the paper not only demonstrates the practical relevance of these methods but also underscores the need for continued exploration in this area.Furthermore,to provide a comprehensive overview, this paper offers several novel developments that aim to illuminate potential directions for future research.

文摘A Gray code based gradient-free optimization(GCO)algorithm is proposed to update the parameters of parameterized quantum circuits(PQCs)in this work. Each parameter of PQCs is encoded as a binary string, named as a gene, and a genetic-based method is adopted to select the offsprings. The individuals in the offspring are decoded in Gray code way to keep Hamming distance, and then are evaluated to obtain the best one with the lowest cost value in each iteration. The algorithm is performed iteratively for all parameters one by one until the cost value satisfies the stop condition or the number of iterations is reached. The GCO algorithm is demonstrated for classification tasks in Iris and MNIST datasets, and their performance are compared by those with the Bayesian optimization algorithm and binary code based optimization algorithm. The simulation results show that the GCO algorithm can reach high accuracies steadily for quantum classification tasks.Importantly, the GCO algorithm has a robust performance in the noise environment.

文摘Aiming at the time-optimal control problem of hypersonic vehicles(HSV)in ascending stage,a trigonometric regularization method(TRM)is introduced based on the indirect method of optimal control. This method avoids analyzing the switching function and distinguishing between singular control and bang-bang control, where the singular control problem is more complicated. While in bang-bang control, the costate variables are unsmooth due to the control jumping, resulting in difficulty in solving the two-point boundary value problem(TPBVP)induced by the indirect method.Aiming at the easy divergence when solving the TPBVP,the continuation method is introduced. This method uses the solution of the simplified problem as the initial value of the iteration. Then through solving a series of TPBVP,it approximates to the solution of the original complex problem. The calculation results show that through the above two methods, the time-optimal control problem of HSV in ascending stage under the complex model can be solved conveniently.

文摘Intermetallic formation in sludge during magnesium(Mg)melting, holding and high pressure die casting practices is a very important issue. But,very often it is overlooked by academia, original equipment manufacturers(OEM),metal ingot producers and even die casters. The aim of this study was to minimize the intermetallic formation in Mg sludge via the optimization of the chemistry and process parameters. The Al8Mn5 intermetallic particles were identified by the microstructure analysis based on the Al and Mn ratio. The design of experiment(DOE)technique,Taguchi method, was employed to minimize the intermetallic formation in the sludge of Mg alloys with various chemical compositions of Al,Mn,Fe,and different process parameters, holding temperature and holding time. The sludge yield(SY)and intermetallic size(IS)was selected as two responses. The optimum combination of the levels in terms of minimizing the intermetallic formation were 9 wt.%Al,0.15 wt.%Mn,0.001 wt.%(10 ppm)Fe,690℃ for the holding temperature and holding at 30 mins for the holding time, respectively. The best combination for smallest intermetallic size were 9 wt.%Al,0.15 wt.%Mn,0.001 wt.%(10 ppm)Fe,630℃ for the holding temperature and holding at 60 mins for the holding time, respectively.Three groups of sludge factors,Chemical Sludge(CSF),Physical Sludge(PSF)and Comprehensive Sludge Factors(and CPSF)were established for prediction of sludge yields and intermetallic sizes in Al-containing Mg alloys. The CPSF with five independent variables including both chemical elements and process parameters gave high accuracy in prediction,as the prediction of the PSF with only the two processing parameters of the melt holding temperature and time showed a relatively large deviation from the experimental data. The Chemical Sludge Factor was primarily designed for small ingot producers and die casters with a limited melting and holding capacity,of which process parameters could be fixed easily. The Physical Sludge Factor could be used for mass production with a single type of Mg alloy,in which the chemistry fluctuation might be negligible. In large Mg casting suppliers with multiple melting and holding furnaces and a number of Mg alloys in production, the Comprehensive Sludge Factor should be implemented to diminish the sludge formation.

文摘To quantify the seismic effectiveness of the most commonly used fishing line tie up method for securing museum collections and optimize fixed strategies for exhibitions, shaking table tests of the seismic systems used for typical museum collection replicas have been carried out.The influence of body shape and fixed measure parameters on the seismic responses of replicas and the interaction behavior between replicas and fixed measures have been explored.Based on the results, seismic effectiveness evaluation indexes of the tie up method are proposed.Reasonable suggestions for fixed strategies are given, which provide a basis for the exhibition of delicate museum collections considering the principle of minimizing seismic responses and intervention. The analysis results show that a larger ratio of height of mass center to bottom diameter led to more intense rocking responses.Increasing the initial pretension of fishing lines was conducive to reducing the seismic responses and stress variation of the lines.Through comprehensive consideration of the interaction forces and effective securement,it is recommended to apply 20%of breaking stress as the initial pretension. For specific museum collections that cannot be effectively protected by the independent tie up method,an optimized strategy of a combination of fishing lines and fasteners is recommended.

文摘This paper presents a topology optimization approach for the surface flows on variable design domains.Via this approach, the matching between the pattern of a surface flow and the 2-manifold used to define the pattern can be optimized, where the 2-manifold is implicitly defined on another fixed 2-manifold named as the base manifold. The fiber bundle topology optimization approach is developed based on the description of the topological structure of the surface flow by using the differential geometry concept of the fiber bundle. The material distribution method is used to achieve the evolution of the pattern of the surface flow. The evolution of the implicit 2-manifold is realized via a homeomorphous map.The design variable of the pattern of the surface flow and that of the implicit 2-manifold are regularized by two sequentially implemented surface-PDE filters. The two surface-PDE filters are coupled, because they are defined on the implicit 2-manifold and base manifold, respectively. The surface Navier-Stokes equations, defined on the implicit 2-manifold,are used to describe the surface flow. The fiber bundle topology optimization problem is analyzed using the continuous adjoint method implemented on the first-order Sobolev space.Several numerical examples have been provided to demonstrate this approach, where the combination of the viscous dissipation and pressure drop is used as the design objective.

文摘The mechanical strength of the synchronous reluctance motor(SynRM)has always been a great challenge. This paper presents an analysis method for assessing stress equivalence and magnetic bridge stress interaction, along with a multiobjective optimization approach.Considering the complex flux barrier structure and inevitable stress concentration at the bridge, the finite element model suitable for SynRM is established.Initially,a neural network structure with two inputs, one output, and three layers is established.Continuous functions are constructed to enhance accuracy.Additionally, the equivalent stress can be converted into a contour distribution of a three-dimensional stress graph. The contour line distribution illustrates the matching scheme for magnetic bridge lengths under equivalent stress. Moreover, the paper explores the analysis of magnetic bridge interaction stress. The optimization levels corresponding to the length of each magnetic bridge are defined, and each level is analyzed by the finite element method. The Taguchi method is used to determine the specific gravity of the stress source on each magnetic bridge.Based on this,a multiobjective optimization employing the Multiobjective Particle Swarm Optimization(MOPSO)technique is introduced.By taking the rotor magnetic bridge as the design parameter, ten optimization objectives including air-gap flux density, sinusoidal property, average torque, torque ripple, and mechanical stress are optimized. The relationship between the optimization objectives and the design parameters can be obtained based on the response surface method(RSM)to avoid too many experimental samples. The optimized model is compared with the initial model, and the optimized effect is verified. Finally, the temperature distribution of under rated working conditions is analyzed, providing support for addressing thermal stress as mentioned earlier.

文摘Background Co-salient object detection(Co-SOD)aims to identify and segment commonly salient objects in a set of related images. However, most current Co-SOD methods encounter issues with the inclusion of irrelevant information in the co-representation.These issues hamper their ability to locate co-salient objects and significantly restrict the accuracy of detection. Methods To address this issue, this study introduces a novel Co-SOD method with iterative purification and predictive optimization(IPPO)comprising a common salient purification module(CSPM),predictive optimizing module(POM),and diminishing mixed enhancement block(DMEB).Results These components are designed to explore noise-free joint representations, assist the model in enhancing the quality of the final prediction results, and significantly improve the performance of the Co-SOD algorithm.Furthermore, through a comprehensive evaluation of IPPO and state-of-the-art algorithms focusing on the roles of CSPM,POM,and DMEB,our experiments confirmed that these components are pivotal in enhancing the performance of the model, substantiating the significant advancements of our method over existing benchmarks.Experiments on several challenging benchmark co-saliency datasets demonstrate that the proposed IPPO achieves state-of-the-art performance.

文摘Refined 3D modeling of mine slopes is pivotal for precise prediction of geological hazards.Aiming at the inadequacy of existing single modeling methods in comprehensively representing the overall and localized characteristics of mining slopes, this study introduces a new method that fuses model data from Unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV)tilt photogrammetry and 3D laser scanning through a data alignment algorithm based on control points.First, the mini batch K-Medoids algorithm is utilized to cluster the point cloud data from ground 3D laser scanning. Then, the elbow rule is applied to determine the optimal cluster number(K0),and the feature points are extracted.Next, the nearest neighbor point algorithm is employed to match the feature points obtained from UAV tilt photogrammetry, and the internal point coordinates are adjusted through the distanceweighted average to construct a 3D model. Finally,by integrating an engineering case study, the K0 value is determined to be 8,with a matching accuracy between the two model datasets ranging from 0.0669 to 1.0373 mm.Therefore, compared with the modeling method utilizing K-medoids clustering algorithm, the new modeling method significantly enhances the computational efficiency, the accuracy of selecting the optimal number of feature points in 3D laser scanning, and the precision of the 3D model derived from UAV tilt photogrammetry. This method provides a research foundation for constructing mine slope model.
