Facile fabrication of durable superhydrophobic fabrics by silicon polyurethane membrane for oil/water separation

Nowadays, oil contamination has become a major reason for water pollution, and presents a global environmental challenge. Although many efforts have been devoted to the fabrication of oil/water separation materials, their practical applications are still hindered by their weak durability, poor chemical tolerance,environmental resistance, and potential negative impact on health and the environment. To overcome these drawbacks, this work offers a facile method to fabricate the eco-friendly and durable oil/water separation membrane fabrics by alkaline hydrolysis and silicon polyurethane coating. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and atomic force microscopy results demonstrate that silicon polyurethane membrane could be coated onto the surface of hydrolyzed polyester fabric and form a micro-/nano-scaled hierarchical structure. Based on this, the modified fabric could have a stable superhydrophobic property with a water contact angle higher than 150°, even after repeated washing and mechanical abrasion 800 times, as well as chemical corrosion. Moreover, the modified fabrics show excellent oil/water separation efficiency of up to 99% for various types of oil–water mixture. Therefore, this durable, eco-friendly and cost-efficient superhydrophobic fabric has great potential in large-scale oil/water separation. 展开更多

The vascular graft with 4 mm diameter was prepared by casting one layer of polyurethane (PU) film onto the knitting tubular fabric as the reinforced support. The effects of different PU content and wall thickness on the longitudinal mechanical properties of vascular graft were investigated. The breaking elongation, breaking force, initial modulus and breaking work were studied. The results showed that the longitudinal mechanical properties of vascular graft were enhanced as the content of polyurethane increased, which resulted from the combination of PU excellent elasticity and fabric preferable strength. 展开更多

A polyether diol poly[3-bromomethyl-3-tridecafluorooctyloxymethyloxetane]glycol(PFBOX 3) was prepared in 91% yield from ring opening polymerization of 3-bromomethyl-3-tridecafluorooctyloxymethyloxetane 2 which was derived from 3,3-dibromomethyloxetane 1 and 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorooctanol.The waterborne fluorinated polyurethane FPU was thus obtained by condensed polymerization of PFBOX 3 with isophoronediisocyanate(IPDI).The structure of FPU was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer(FTIR).FPU showed good thermal stability under 300℃.The surface properties of FPU were studied by applied on cotton fabric.The treated fabric surface showed excellent water repellent property as the contact angle reached 147°.On the other hand,the surface showed slightly oil repellent property as the contact angle for nujol droplet was 126°. 展开更多

In this paper,a kind of composite microtube,which is made from superfine silk powder and polyurethane,reinforced by polyster and spandex tubular fabrics,was examined.The cross-section of composite microtubes were microporous,and micropores were uniform distributed,the inner surface was relatively smooth.The results showed that the wall thickness of composite microtubes increased,which led to the strength,the breaking work and the initial modulus incresead;that the spandex content increased brought about the initial modulus and the breaking work decreased,but the breaking extension and the breaking load were firstly increased and then decreased;and all the mechanical properties decreased as the SFSP content increased. 展开更多

Synthetic dyes in the aqueous media have been commonly used for textile dyeing, resulting in resource and environmental pressure arising from consumption of water and environmentally unfriendly chemicals. In this study, an eco-friendly process of dyeing polyamide 6, 6(PA66) fabrics with natural Monascus pigments in decamethylcyclopentasiloxane(D5) solvent has been developed to minimize water consumption and effluent generation. The influence of processing parameters including dyeing temperature, dyebath pH and dyeing time on dyeing effects was explored. It was shown that color strength and color fastness of the samples dyed in D5 media were higher than those of the samples dyed in the aqueous media. Moreover, PA66 fabrics exhibited the highest color strength, good color fastness and a bacteriostatic rate of 53.6% against Staphylococcus aureus when it was dyed at pH of 3.5 and temperature of 80 ℃ for 30 min. 展开更多

Castor oil-based cationic waterborne polyurethane(CWPU)was synthesized by pre-polymer process using castor oil(CO),poly(adipic acid-1,4-succinate diol)(PBA),isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI),and N-methyldiethanolamine(MDEA).The influences of the content of CO and MDEA on comprehensive performance and finished fabric properties of cationic waterborne polyurethane was investigated,especially the antibacterial properties of finished fabric.The CWPU latex particle size and its distribution decrease as the content of CO increased from 0wt%to 16.8wt%,and increases afterwards.The CWPU films show much higher thermal stability than cationic waterborne polyurethane without CO.The surface of fabrics was characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM).The finished fabric surface is much smoother.In addition,the finished fabric with CWPU emulsion has better antibacterial property against E.coli and S.aureus.When MDEA content is 8%,the antibacterial rates of the two kinds of bacteria are 77.3%and 82.2%,respectively. 展开更多

The main purpose of this research work is to improve anti-static properties of Cashmere fabric by introducing application comprising anti-static agent by foaming which was made with cationic waterborne polyurethane and graphene-CNC. Cashmere fabric was cut into 10 pieces of sample cloth of 5 cm * 5 cm size, washed with acetone solution, and then dried in an oven at 60℃. Three forms of waterborne polyurethanes such as two forms of Cationic waterborne polyurethane (CWPU) and a form of Anionic waterborne polyurethane (AWPU) were synthesized. Cellulose nanocrystalline (CNC)/graphite powder solution with the ratio of 0.5/1, 1/1, 2/1 was prepared by ultrasonic probe stripping method, and the concentration of graphite powder was ensured to be 1 mg/ml. The fabric was treated with anionic and cationic WPUs foaming solution until the weight gain reached 2.5 - 3.5 wt%. After drying, the elastic cloth was foamed with graphene solution until the graphite content of the cloth was close to 10%, 20%, 40%, 60% respectively, and then dried for reserving. Characterization properties of pure graphite powder, pure CNC and graphene solution with different proportions of three components were tested by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Thermalgravitimetric analysis (TGA) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Take the original cloth, only WPU treated cloth and four clothes with different graphite content for the fabric performance test. 展开更多

为提高水性聚氨酯整理棉织物的疏水性,采用侧链型聚二甲基硅氧烷与硅烷偶联剂KH550制备交联型水性有机硅改性聚氨酯(WSPU)乳液,然后将疏水二氧化硅(SiO_(2))粒子的分散液喷涂在经WSPU浸轧整理的棉织物表面,制备得到基于WSPU/SiO_(2)的... 为提高水性聚氨酯整理棉织物的疏水性,采用侧链型聚二甲基硅氧烷与硅烷偶联剂KH550制备交联型水性有机硅改性聚氨酯(WSPU)乳液,然后将疏水二氧化硅(SiO_(2))粒子的分散液喷涂在经WSPU浸轧整理的棉织物表面,制备得到基于WSPU/SiO_(2)的超疏水棉织物。考察KH550的质量分数对WSPU乳液烘干后所得乳胶膜性能的影响,探讨了WSPU与SiO_(2)复合整理棉织物的结构与性能之间的关系。结果表明:当KH550的质量分数为3.0%时,WSPU乳胶膜具有良好的机械性能与疏水性。当SiO_(2)分散液的质量分数为1.0%时,WSPU与SiO_(2)复合整理后的棉织物表面富集硅元素且具有微纳复合结构,织物水接触角达151.8°,滚动角为4.8°,呈现较好的自清洁性能与抗黏附性能;由于复合涂层与纤维间存在物理作用及化学键合,WSPU与SiO_(2)复合整理棉织物具有优异的耐水洗牢度,经20次水洗后水接触角仅下降3.0°。该研究为制备性能稳定的超疏水织物提供了参考。 展开更多

为提升锦纶6织物阻燃性能,基于水解缩合反应原理,开发设计多元协效抗熔滴型含磷席夫碱基有机硅阻燃剂,并采用浸渍法对锦纶6织物进行阻燃整理。借助红外光谱、热重分析仪、微型燃烧量热仪、极限氧指数仪、扫描电镜、拉曼光谱及热裂解气... 为提升锦纶6织物阻燃性能,基于水解缩合反应原理,开发设计多元协效抗熔滴型含磷席夫碱基有机硅阻燃剂,并采用浸渍法对锦纶6织物进行阻燃整理。借助红外光谱、热重分析仪、微型燃烧量热仪、极限氧指数仪、扫描电镜、拉曼光谱及热裂解气质联用仪等技术分别对阻燃锦纶6织物的化学结构、热稳定性、燃烧行为及其燃烧后炭化层与气相热解产物系统研究。结果表明:阻燃锦纶6织物的炭化能力及阻燃性能有效提升,其残炭率可增加至33.9%,且在火焰移开后可快速实现自熄,并未有熔滴产生;相较于锦纶6织物,阻燃锦纶6织物的热释放速率峰值(PHRR)及总释热量(THR)分别下降23.8%及20.4%,火灾安全性有效提升;经水洗20次后,阻燃锦纶6织物仍可实现自熄,其PHRR及THR值相较于锦纶6织物,仍分别下降了14.1%及13.6%。 展开更多

水性聚氨酯涂层三维间隔导电织物的性能研究

采用热膨胀微球和聚丙烯酸酯黏合剂对聚酯织物进行涂层改性,并采用聚氨酯薄膜提高热膨胀微球在聚酯织物表面的黏附性能。对涂层聚酯织物的表面形貌、厚度、隔热性能等进行分析。研究结果表明:热膨胀微球在110℃焙烘1.0 min后具有良好的... 采用热膨胀微球和聚丙烯酸酯黏合剂对聚酯织物进行涂层改性,并采用聚氨酯薄膜提高热膨胀微球在聚酯织物表面的黏附性能。对涂层聚酯织物的表面形貌、厚度、隔热性能等进行分析。研究结果表明:热膨胀微球在110℃焙烘1.0 min后具有良好的膨胀发泡性能,无破损现象;经聚氨酯涂层整理后,隔热聚酯织物具有较好的耐摩擦性能。此外,聚酯织物的热传导性能显著降低,导热系数从涂层前的0.13120 W/m·K降低至0.06098 W/m·K。当涂层聚酯织物放置在50℃和100℃加热台上5 min时,其表面温度比未涂层的聚酯织物,分别降低了约9.7℃和23.1℃,表明热膨胀微球涂层聚酯织物具有良好的隔热性能。 展开更多

采用原位聚合法,以聚乙二醇(PEG)为相变软段,异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯(IPDI)为硬段,聚多巴胺包覆的钨掺杂二氧化钒(W-VO_(2)@PDA)为填料,制备了钨掺杂二氧化钒@聚多巴胺改性聚氨酯固-固相变材料(W-VO_(2)@PDA/PUPCM)。考察了PEG相对分子质量... 采用原位聚合法,以聚乙二醇(PEG)为相变软段,异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯(IPDI)为硬段,聚多巴胺包覆的钨掺杂二氧化钒(W-VO_(2)@PDA)为填料,制备了钨掺杂二氧化钒@聚多巴胺改性聚氨酯固-固相变材料(W-VO_(2)@PDA/PUPCM)。考察了PEG相对分子质量(简称分子量)对W-VO_(2)@PDA/PUPCM乳液稳定性和整理织物调温性的影响。通过FTIR、TEM、POM、XRD、DSC和TG对材料的化学结构、结晶性能、相变性能和热稳定性进行了测试和表征。结果表明,PEG分子量对W-VO_(2)@PDA/PUPCM的储热性能和相变性能有很大的影响,当PEG分子量为8000时,W-VO_(2)@PDA/PUPCM具有良好的形状稳定性和热稳定性,熔融温度和熔融焓最高,分别为51.52℃和144.82 J/g,与未经整理织物相比,经W-VO_(2)@PDA/PUPCM整理后织物升温和降温最大温差分别为7.8和5.3℃。 展开更多

低共熔溶剂对蛋白酶法亲水改性锦纶纤维的影响
