However, many of these materials, such as carbon nanotubes and graphene, are expensive and require complex preparation process. Herein, waste lignin, recycled from hazardous black liquors,is used to create oxygen-nitrogen-sulfur codoped carbon microspheres for use in DSSC CEs through the facile process of low-temperature preoxidation and high-temperature self-activation. The large number of ester bonds formed by preoxidation increase the degree of cross-linking of the lignin chains, leading to the formation of highly disordered carbon with ample defect sites during pyrolysis. The presence of organic O/N/S components in the waste lignin results in high O/N/S doping of the pyrolysed carbon, which increases the electrolyte ion adsorption and accelerates the electron transfer at the CE/electrolyte interface, as confirmed by density functional theory(DFT) calculations. The presence of inorganic impurities enables the construction of a hierarchical micropore-rich carbon structure through the etching effect during self-activation, which can provide abundant catalytically active sites for the reversible adsorption/desorption of electrolyte ions. Under these synergistic effects, the DSSCs that use this novel carbon CE achieve a quite high power-conversion efficiency of 9.22%. To the best of our knowledge, the value is a new record reported so far for biomass-carbon-based DSSCs.展开更多

The lack of research on the pore structure evolution of organic-rich carbonate rock restricts gas exploration of these strata. Here, pyrolysis experiments were performed on the Mao-1 carbonate to simulate hydrocarbon generation, expulsion and diagenesis in gray marl from low maturity to overmaturity. The pore structure of this marl is dominated by mesopores and macropores, and the proportion of macropores increases gradually with temperature. The macropores are mainly pores in the organic matter and shrinkage microcracks. Additionally, micropores and mesopores, dominated by clay mineral interlayer pores and pyrite intergranular pores, are developed in the high mature stage and subsequently compressed in the overmature stage. The main contributors to the specific surface area are micropores and mesopores, which are conducive to natural gas adsorption. After the same pyrolysis treatment, the available porosity of grey marl is higher than that of marine/lacustrine shales, and exhibits an obvious decrease in the low mature–mature stage. These suggest that the abundant residual oil generated blocked the organic and inorganic pores in the gray marl, providing a pivotal material foundation for the gas generation. Micropores and mesopores developed during the high mature stage ensure the gas accumulation and preservation. The above indicate the organic-rich carbonate at the high mature–overmature stage (Ro = 1.7%–2.5%) in the Sichuan Basin may be a favorable exploration horizon for unconventional oil and gas.展开更多

The formation mechanism of radial pore structure was studied by transmission electron microscopy at different reaction time intervals, which indicated that the radial pore structure was formed via a structural transition in the sol-gel transcription process.展开更多

Here the porosity of reservoirs buried deeper than 4,000 m can still be greater than 20%. Investigation of these three abnormally high porosity (AHP) zones in the 3rd to 4th member of the Paleogene Shahejie Formation in the Shengtuo area was carried out with utilization of core observation, thin section identification, SEM observation, image analysis, core physical property testing and other technical methods. The results show that, the AHP zones in 2,800-3,200 m and 3,250-3,700 m are visible pores primary AHP zones dominated by significant primary intergranular pores (more than 50% of the total porosity), while secondary pores and micropores in authigenic clays may develop in some reservoirs. AHP reservoirs in the AHP zone of 3,900-4,400 m are dominated by micropores in matrix, visible pores are mainly grain dissolution pores but with low absolute content (〈 1%), so this zone belongs to the micropores primary AHP zone. The genesis of the three AHP zones was studied to distinguish between porosity enhancement and porosity preservation. Our research shows that, in deeply buried clastic reservoirs in the Shengtuo area, mineral dissolution occurred in a relatively closed diagenetic system with high temperature and high salinity. Reservoir rocks underwent extensive feldspar dissolution, while detrital carbonate grains and carbonate cements show no evidence of extensive dissolution. Although significant feldspar dissolution pores developed, feldspar dissolution enhanced porosity only a little due to the precipitation of almost isovolumetric dissolution products in the nearby primary intergranular pores in forms of authigenic clays and quartz cements. Net enhanced porosity originating from feldspar dissolution is generally less than 0.25%. Thus, the subsurface dissolution has little impact on the mid-deep buried high porosity reservoirs. Reservoirs in braided channels of middle fans in sublacustrine fans and reservoirs in the middle-front of fan bodies of nearshore subaqueous fans provide the basis for the development of AHP zones. The shallow development of fluid overpressure and early hydrocarbon emplacement have effectively retarded compaction and carbonate cementation, so that the high porosity in the superficial layers is preserved in the mid-deep layers. These are the main controlling factors in the development of AHP zones.展开更多

It is known as a form of self-contained source-reservoir system with large and continuous dimensions. Through years of considerable exploration efforts, China has identified three large shale gas fields in the ruling, Changning and Weiyuan areas of the Sichuan Basin, and has announced more than 540 billion m3 of proven shale gas reserves in marine shale systems. The geological theories for shale gas development have progressed rapidly in China as well. For example, the new depositional patterns have been introduced for deciphering the paleogeography and sedimentary systems of the Wufeng shale and Longmaxi shale in the Sichuan Basin. The shale gas storage mechanism has been widely accepted as differing from conventional natural gas in that it is adsorbed on organic matter or a mineral surface or occurs as free gas trapped in pores and fractures of the shale. Significant advances in the techniques of microstructural characterization have provided new insights on how gas molecules are stored in micro- and nano-scale porous shales. Furthermore, newly-developed concepts and practices in the petroleum industry, such as hydraulic fracturing, microseismic monitoring and multiwell horizontal drilling, have made the production of this unevenly distributed but promising unconventional natural gas a reality. China has 10-36 trillion m3 of promising shale gas among the world's whole predicted technically recoverable reserves of 206.6 trillion m3. China is on the way to achieving its goal of an annual yield of 30-50 billion m3 by launching more trials within shale gas projects.展开更多

The frost-resisting durability of such SCPC in different deicing salt concentrations(0%, 3%, 5%, 10%, and 20%) was investigated. The mass-loss rate, relative dynamic modulus of elasticity, compressive strength, flexural strength and hydraulic conductivity of SCPC after 300 freeze-thaw cycles were measured to evaluate the frost-resisting durability. In addition, the microstructures of SCPC near the top-bottom interconnected pores after 300 freeze-thaw cycles were observed by SEM. The results show that the high strength SCPC possesses much better frost-resisting durability than traditional pervious concrete(TPC) after 300 freeze-thaw cycles, which can be used in heavy loading roads. The most serious freeze-thaw damage emerges in the SCPC immersed in the 3% of Na Cl solution, while there is no obvious damage in 20% of Na Cl solution. Furthermore, it can be deduced that the high strength SCPC can be used for 100 years in a cold environment.展开更多

In order to form compact stabilized soil structure, cementitious hydrates were needed to wrap and bind the soil aggregates. Meanwhile, expansible hydrates were needed to squeeze and fill the pores, especially the pores in the aggregates. The experimental results show that the influences of various chemical characteristic factors of soil on the strength of the stabilized soil are boiled down, for the influence on the concentration of Ca(OH)2 in the pore solution of the stabilized soil, and the amount of CSH generated by cement. The pyridinic and graphitic nitrogen groups are dominant among various N-containing groups in the samples. The 950 °C-activated sample(CANHCS-950) has the largest surface area(2072 m^2 g^(-1)), pore volume(1.96 cm^3 g^(-1)), hierarchical micro-mesopore distributions(1.2, 2.6 and 6.2 nm), hollow macropore cores(*91 nm)and highest relative content of pyridinic and graphitic N groups. This triple micro-meso-macropore system could synergistically enhance the activity because macropores could store up the reactant, mesopores could reduce the transport resistance of the reactants to the active sites, and micropores could be in favor of the accumulation of ions. Therefore, the CANHCS-950 with optimized structure shows the optimal and comparable oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) activity but superior methanol tolerance and long-term durability to commercial Pt/C with a 4 e--dominant transfer pathway in alkaline media. These excellent properties in combination with good stability and recyclability make CANHCSs among the most promising metal-free ORR electrocatalysts reported so far in practical applications.展开更多

文摘Carbon materials are effective substitutes for Pt counter electrodes(CEs) in dye-sensitized solar cells(DSSCs). To the best of our knowledge, the value is a new record reported so far for biomass-carbon-based DSSCs.

文摘The marl–limestone rhythmic strata of the Permian Maokou Formation have been identified as hosts of unconventional gas reservoirs with “source–reservoir” integration. The above indicate the organic-rich carbonate at the high mature–overmature stage (Ro = 1.7%–2.5%) in the Sichuan Basin may be a favorable exploration horizon for unconventional oil and gas.

文摘Organic matter(OM)hosted pores are crucial for the storage and migration of petroleum in shale reservoirs.Thermal maturity and macerals type are important factors controlling the development of pores therein. In this study, six lacustrine shale samples with different thermal maturities from the first member of the Qingshankou Formation in the Songliao Basin,of which vitrinite reflectance(R_(o))ranging from 0.58% to 1.43%,were selected for a comparative analysis.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and reflected light microscopy were combined to investigate the development of organic pores in different macerals during thermal maturation. The results show that alginite and liptodetrinite are the dominant primary macerals, followed by bituminite.Only a few primary organic pores developed in the alginite at the lowest maturity(R_(o)=0.58%).As a result of petroleum generation,oil-prone macerals began to transform to initial-oil solid bitumen at the early oil window(R_(o)=0.73%)and shrinkage cracks were observed.Initial-oil solid bitumen cracked to oil,gas and post-oil bitumen by primary cracking(R_(o)=0.98%).Moreover,solid bitumen(SB)was found to be the dominant OM when R_(o)>0.98%,which indicates that SB is the product of oil-prone macerals transformation. Many secondary bubble pores were observed on SB,which formed by gas release, while devolatilization cracks developed on migrated SB.Additionally,at the late oil window(Ro?1.16%),migrated SB filled the interparticle pore spaces. With further increase in temperature, the liquid oil underwent secondary cracking into pyrobitumen and gas,and spongy pores developed on the pyrobitumen at higher levels of maturity(Ro=1.43%),which formed when pyrobitumen cracked into gas.Vitrinite and inertinite are stable without any visible pores over the range of maturities, verifying their low petroleum generation potential. In addition,it was concluded that clay minerals could have a catalytic effect on the petroleum generation, which may explain why organicclay mixtures had more abundant pores than single OM particles. However, after R_(o)>0.98%,authigenic minerals occupied the organic pore spaces on the organic-clay mixtures, resulting in fewer pores compared to those observed in samples at the early to peak oil window.

文摘The clay mineral content of Daqing Gulong shale is in the range of about 35%–45%,with particle sizes less than 0.0039 mm.The horizontal fluidity of oil in Gulong shale is poor, with near-zero vertical flowability. As a result,Gulong shale has been considered to lack commercial value. In recent years, however, interdisciplinary research in geoscience, percolation mechanics, thermodynamics, and surface mechanics has demonstrated that Gulong shale oil has a high degree of maturity and a high residual hydrocarbon content. The expulsion efficiency of Gulong shale in the high mature stage is 32%–48%.Favorable storage spaces in Gulong shale include connecting pores and lamellar fractures developed between and within organic matter and clay mineral complexes. The shale oil mainly occurs in micro-and nano-pores,bedding fractures, and lamellar fractures, with a high gas–oil ratio and medium–high movable oil saturation.Gulong shale has the characteristics of high hardness,a high elastic modulus, and high fracture toughness. This study achieves breakthroughs in the exploration and development of Gulong shale, including the theories of hydrocarbon generation and accumulation, the technologies of mobility and fracturing, and recoverability. It confirms the major transition of Gulong shale from oil generation to oil production, which has extremely significant scientific value and application potential for China’s petroleum industry.

文摘A chiral low-molecular-weight gelator(LMWG) L-16Ala5PyPF6 was synthesized from L-alanine, which can cause physical gel in n-propanol, ethyl acetate, butylene oxide, water, benzene, 1,4-dioxane and chloroform. The sol-gel reactions were carried out in a mixture of stronger ammonia water and n-propanol at the volume ratio of 2:8. Single-handed twisted silica nanostructures with pore channels vertical to the wall surfaces were first prepared through a single-templating approach comparing with the reported double template method. The formation mechanism of radial pore structure was studied by transmission electron microscopy at different reaction time intervals, which indicated that the radial pore structure was formed via a structural transition in the sol-gel transcription process.

文摘Attracted by high energy density and considerable conductivity of selenium(Se),Na-Se batteries have been deemed promising energy-storage systems. But,it still suffers from sluggish kinetic behaviors and similar“shuttling effect”to S-electrodes.Herein,utilizing uniform hollow carbon spheres as precursors,Se-material is effectively loaded through vapor-infiltration method.Owing to the distribution of optimized pores, the content of microspores could be up to~60%(<2 nm),serving important roles for the physical confinement effect.Meanwhile, the rich oxygen-containing groups and N-elements could be noted, inducing the evolution of electron-moving behaviors.More significantly, assisted by the interfacial C-Se bonds and tiny Se distributions,Se electrodes are activated during cycling.Used as cathodes for Na-Se systems, the as-resulted samples display a capacity of 593.9 mA h g^(-1)after 100 cycles at the current density of 0.1 C.Even after 6000 cycles, the capacity could be still kept at about 225 mA h g^(-1)at 5.0 C.Supported by the detailed kinetic analysis, the designed microspores size induces the increasing redox reaction of nano Se,whilst the surface traits further render the enhancement of pseudo-capacitive contributions. Moreover, after cycling, the product Sex(x<4)in pores serves as the primary active material.Given this, the work is anticipated to provide an effective strategy for advanced electrodes for Na-Se systems.

文摘A study of the behaviors of air discharge plasma inside a catalyst’s pores is important to understand the plasma catalysis mechanism;however, few articles have reported the generation characteristics of air plasma in the pores of catalysts. The production of air microdischarge in a pore was studied by a two-dimensional fluid model, mainly focusing on the effect of pore size and applied voltage. The results show that an increase in the pore size in the range of 20–100μm facilitates the occurrence of microdischarge in the pore.In addition,at an applied voltage of 9 kV,the ionization of air mainly occurs near the topside of the pore when the pore diameter is less than 20μm,leading to a low plasma density in the pore, but the time-averaged plasma density in the pore reaches a maximum value at a 70μm pore diameter. Moreover, the applied voltage also has an important effect on the production of air microdischarge in the pore. The existence of a pore of 80μm diameter on the dielectric has no obvious influence on the plasma density in the pore at 2 kV applied voltage, but the plasma density in the pore begins to sharply rise when the voltage exceeds 3 kV due to the enhanced air ionization at higher applied voltage. The study indicates that microdischarge can be generated in a pore with a size of tens of micrometers, and the microdischarge in porous catalysts will affect the catalytic degradation efficacy of gaseous pollutants.
文摘In order to solve the problem of porosity in laser deep penetration welding of GH3625 high-temperature alloy plates, five different ratios of high-purity helium gas and high-purity argon gas mixed gases were compared in welding experiments after various process parameter improvements and adjustments failed to achieve Class I welds. The experimental results show that using high-purity helium gas or a mixture of 50%high-purity helium gas and 50%high-purity argon gas can both achieve Class I welds. This indicates that using high-purity helium gas or an appropriate mixed gas instead of pure argon is one of the effective ways to solve the problem of porosity in laser deep penetration welding of high-temperature alloys. The mixture of 50%high-purity argon gas and 50%high-purity helium gas can reduce the consumption of high-purity helium gas, lower production costs, and is more suitable.

文摘Materials with high surface area, tailored pore size and good electrical conductivity are needed for improved supercapacitors(SCs).Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have high surface areas and tailored pore sizes. Here, the MOF(1)of[Ni3(μ3 OH)(pba)3(bpdc)1.5]·11.5 DMA·0.5 CH3 OH·7 H2O is good enough to result in electrode materials with nearly ideal supercapacitive behavior at the rate up to 50 mV·s^-1 in a KOH electrolyte. The super capacitive performance of MOF(1)was measured using cyclic voltammogram, galvanostatic discharge and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements. This MOF(1)as electrode exhibits the highest super capacitive properties with 417 F·g^-1,the maximum storage energy and power density are 9.27 and 2.38 kW·kg^-1.The long term stability of MOF(1)as SCs is checked that the capacitance is decreased by 17%after 1000 cycles.

文摘Functional carbonaceous materials for supercapacitors(SCs)without using acid for post-treatment remain a substantial challenge. In this paper,we present a less harmful strategy for preparing three-dimensional(3D)N,O-codoped egg-box-like carbons(EBCs).The as-prepared EBCs with opened pores provide plentiful channels for ion fast transport, ensure the e ective contact of EBCs electrodes and electrolytes, and enhance the electron conduction. The nitrogen and oxygen atoms doped in EBCs improve the surface wettability of EBC electrodes and provide the pseudocapacitance.Consequently, the EBCs display a prominent areal capacitance of 39.8μF cm-2(340 F g-1)at 0.106 m A cm-2 in 6 M KOH electrolyte. The EBC-based symmetric SC manifests a high areal capacitance to 27.6μF cm-2(236 F g-1)at 0.1075 m A cm-2,a good rate capability of 18.8μF cm-2(160 F g-1)at 215 m A cm-2 and a long-term cycle stability with only 1.9%decay after 50,000 cycles in aqueous electrolyte.Impressively, even in all-solid-state SC,EBC electrode shows a high areal capacitance of 25.0μF cm-2(214 F g-1)and energy density of 0.0233 m Wh cm-2.This work provides an acid-free process to prepare electrode materials from industrial by-products for advanced energy storage devices.

文摘There are three abnormally high porosity zones developed in buried Paleogene nearshore subaqueous fan and sublacustrine fan clastic'reservoirs at 2,800-3,200 m, 3,250-3,700 m and 3,900- 4,400 m, respectively, within the Shengtuo area of the Dongying Sag. These are the main controlling factors in the development of AHP zones.

文摘Shale gas is one of the most promising unconventional resources both in China and abroad. China is on the way to achieving its goal of an annual yield of 30-50 billion m3 by launching more trials within shale gas projects.

文摘A high strength self-compacting pervious concrete(SCPC) with top-bottom interconnected pores was prepared in this paper. Furthermore, it can be deduced that the high strength SCPC can be used for 100 years in a cold environment.

文摘Background: Starch is the main source of energy in commonly used pig diets.Besides effects related to the extent of starch digestion, also several effects related to variation in digestion rate have recently been demonstrated in non-ruminants.Different rates of starch digestion in animals and in in vitro models have been reported, depending on the botanic origin of starch.Starches from different botanic sources differ widely in structural and molecular properties.Predicting the effect of starch properties on in vitro digestion kinetics based on existing literature is hampered by incomplete characterization of the starches,or by a selective choice of starches from a limited number of botanic sources. This research aimed to analyse the relationships between starch properties and in vitro digestion kinetics of pure starches isolated from a broad range of botanic origins, which are used in non-ruminant diets or have a potential to be used in the future. Therefore we studied starch digestion kinetics of potato, pea, corn, rice, barley, and wheat starches, and analysed the granule diameter, number of pores, type and amount of crystalline structure, amylose content and amylopectin side-chain length of all starches. Results: Multivariate analysis revealed strong correlations among starch properties, leading us to conclude that effects of most starch characteristics are strongly interrelated.Across all analysed botanic sources, crystalline type and amylopectin chain length showed the strongest correlation with in vitro digestion kinetics.Increased percentages of A–type crystalline structure and amylopectin side chains of DP 6–24 both increased the rate of digestion. In addition, within, but not across,(clusters of) botanic sources,a decrease in amylose content and increase in number of pores correlated positively with digestion kinetics. Conclusion: The type of crystalline structure and amylopectin chain length distribution of starch correlate significantly with digestion kinetics of starches across botanic sources in an in vitro pig model.Variation in digestion kinetics across botanic sources is not additively explained by other starch properties measured, but appears to be confined within botanical sources.

文摘A stabilized soil structure formation model was introduced. Finally an optimization design method is proposed, with which the stabilizer can be designed according to characteristics of soil samples.

文摘A series of triple hierarchical micro-mesomacroporous N-doped carbon shells with hollow cores have been successfully prepared via etching N-doped hollow carbon spheres with CO_2 at high temperatures. The surface areas, total pore volumes and microporepercentages of the CO_2-activated samples evidently increase with increasing activation temperature from 800 to950 °C, while the N contents show a contrary trend from7.6 to 3.8 at%. These excellent properties in combination with good stability and recyclability make CANHCSs among the most promising metal-free ORR electrocatalysts reported so far in practical applications.

文摘The Upper Ordovician Wufeng-Lower Silurian Longmaxi and the Lower Cambrian Qiongzhusi shales are the major targets for shale gas exploration and development in China.Although the two organic-rich shales share similar distribution ranges and thicknesses, they exhibit substantially different exploration and development results. This work analyzed the nanopore structures of the shale reservoirs in this region.Pore development of 51 shale samples collected from various formations and locations was compared using the petromineralogical, geochemical, structural geological and reservoir geological methods. The results indicate that the reservoir space in these shales is dominated by organic pores and the total pore volume of micropores, mesopores, macropores in different tectonic areas and formations show different trends with the increase of TOC.It is suggested that organic pores of shale can be well preserved in areas with simple structure and suitable preservation conditions, and the shale with smaller maximum ancient burial depth and later hydrocarbongeneration-end-time is also more conducive to pore preservation.Organic pore evolution models are established, and they are as follows:①Organic matter pore development stage,②Early stage of organic matter pore destruction,and③late stage of organic matter pore destruction. The areas conducive to pore development are favorable for shale gas development.Research results can effectively guide the optimization and evaluation of favorable areas of shale gas.
文摘Al-base surface self-lubricating composites need thick and hard alumina membranes with large pores to add lubricants easily. This kind of porous alumina layer was fabricated in additive-containing, phosphoric acid-based solution. The effects of additive containing organic carboxylic acid and Ce salt on the properties of the oxide film and mechanism were investigated in detail with SEM and EDAX analyses. The results show that the pore diameter is about 100 nm, the film thickness increases by 4 -5 times, and the Vickers hardness improves by about 50% through adding some amount of organic carboxylic acid and Ce salt. Such an improvement in properties is explained in terms of a lower film dissolving velocity and better film quality in compound solution.
