Dislocated Character Affirmation——A Case Study of Young Female Gamers' Identity in Online Games

What are the real intentions of young women to play online games? Can they benefit more than just entertainment? Based on a 2-year followup survey of a young female online gamer, this paper explores the inner experiences of a young female gamers. Findings indicate that young female Chinese gamers attach importance to the choice of characters in the world of online games and that they establish a sense of identity in virtual space through character affirmation and interactions with other gamers. For young female gamers, who are eager to temporarily escape from reality, playing online games is a positive psychological compensation and a process for building self-confidence.

The Romance of the Forest,first published in 1791,was Ann Radcliffe’s first and major success,establishing her reputa⁃tion as one of the masters of Gothic novels in the eighteenth century.Given that Gothic novel is socially conservative,its construc⁃tion of female character has long been in line with the deep-rooted notion of the“proper women”,under which circumstance Ann’s treatment of feminism through Adeline is utterly confusing to many.Thus,based on Edmund Burke’s aesthetics concept of picturesque and sublime,this paper conducts a detailed analysis of the landscape in the novel,in an effort to argue that Ann con⁃structs a mixed female identity,an identity stressing on both feminine sensibility and masculine rationality.

Ostentatious Funeral Expenses and Identity Reconstruction Among the Gouro Women of Gohitafla(Ivory Coast)

Although the Gouro women producing foodstuffs in the department of Gohitafla claim to be in a double dynamics of precariousness and social weakening,they incur ostentatious expenses during funeral ceremonies.To understand this paradox,this text,based on interviews and participating observation,makes a detailed description of the financial involvement of these women in funeral practices in order to reveal its meaning.The results show that the ostentatious nature of female funeral expenses related to the transfer of the body,compensation and honorary practices are strategies for identity reconstruction and negotiation of political citizenship for those women.

博茨瓦纳女作家贝西·黑德在小说集《珍宝收藏者及其他博茨瓦纳乡村故事集》(1974)中,塑造了博茨瓦纳从殖民地走向独立建国的过程中涌现的多种女性形象。本文运用女性主义、后殖民主义理论及其他研究方法,通过考察发现,贝西·黑德在这部小说中主要描绘了3类女性形象:在守旧状态中屈从于乡村传统和殖民地压迫的女乡民;以暴力反抗男权统治、逃离家庭束缚的女囚犯;获得教育机会、学会阅读与写作的新女性。贝西·黑德借助女乡民、女囚犯和新女性等形象,描摹了博茨瓦纳女性顽强抗争、发现自我、争取权力的艰难历程。通过带有自传性的写作,她为沉默的非洲女性发声,建构了追求独立自主、具有创造力的非洲新女性身份。

中外文学作品中,“出走”的女性不在少数。女性“出走”的原因多样化,因精神囹圄或身体桎梏,或因社会之教俗。“女性出走”作为文学研究的一个母题,是对社会历史及现实的一个观照和映射。通过对外国文学作品《安娜·卡列尼娜》中的安娜、《包法利夫人》中的爱玛以及《红字》中的海斯特等“出走”的女性形象的剖析,结合对作品整体思想的把握、艺术形式的呈现及作家思想倾向的探究,从“个人对理想爱情与生活‘堂吉诃德式’的热烈追求”“社会制度压制下身份错位的‘囚中鸟’”,以及“无法逾越的传统禁锢”三个方面探讨特定历史时期女性意识的表达。

家庭空间是性别身份建构与认同的重要语境,设计则充当了建构的媒介。以法兰克福厨房为起点的现代厨房一方面成就了科学高效的家务劳动,另一方面并未真正减轻女性的劳动负担,使她们陷入更加固化的身份困境。本文在设计人类学视角下,针对玛格丽特·舒特-里奥茨基设计的法兰克福厨房进行批判性考察,通过分析背景、空间安排、物品布置、风格等要素,探讨空间设计及“家”概念的表达对女性主体性身份建构所具有的双面性。

女性社会创业:身份认同策略、合法性获取及绩效影响

身份认同作为女性社会创业者创业行为和结果的起点,对于解决她们所面临的关键问题——获取合法性和提升创业绩效,具有重要意义。然而,目前对于女性社会创业者身份认同策略与合法性获取之间的关系,以及身份认同整合如何提升社会创业绩效的内在机理的研究仍然匮乏。因此,本研究遵循“身份认同策略—合法性获取—绩效影响”的递进逻辑,开展3项子研究:首先,基于认同理论,通过联合分析实验探讨身份认同策略对女性社会创业决策的影响;其次,基于制度逻辑视角,利用模糊集定性比较分析(fsQCA)探究身份认同策略对合法性获取的组态影响;最后,基于认同理论,构建女性社会创业者身份认同整合影响社会创业绩效的理论模型,揭示合法性的中介作用以及社会拼凑的调节作用。相关研究成果有助于指导女性社会创业者形成清晰的自我认知并做出合理的创业决策,成功获取合法性,进而提升社会创业绩效。

女性育儿博主的平台实践与身份认同

女性育儿博主是自媒体从业者中较为特殊的网络群体之一。作为母亲,她们是家庭中的成员,受到家庭情境的影响;作为博主,她们又从属于社交平台、社会更大的结构层面,也要经受网民的凝视。正是个人、家庭、平台行动者等多重影响力量,使得女性育儿博主的身份不断趋于复杂。通过对9位女性育儿博主的深度访谈,发现女性育儿博主的从业动因,主要是母职实践与职业转变的勾连,以及公共平台与私人领域的联动;女性育儿博主的内容呈现,主要围绕提供情绪价值、输出功能价值、形成网络社群;女性育儿博主还经历着身份焦虑和结构压力。女性育儿博主呈现母职的转化和异化,推动着自媒体平台上的性别话语表达,还推动了女性公共话语表达的发展和进步。

女性在中国陶瓷艺术发展中的身份演变

中国女性作为整个中国艺术史中的重要主体,在中国陶瓷艺术发展的三个时期中扮演着不同的角色,与陶瓷艺术相互影响。本文参照前人研究成果,结合考古学、社会学、艺术学等方式对女性在中国陶瓷艺术发展中的身份演变进行研究。笔者将中国陶瓷艺术的发展分为新石器时期、封建王朝时期、现代陶艺时期三个阶段进行论述,在此三个阶段中女性以不同身份参与到陶瓷艺术中,为陶瓷艺术的发展做出贡献。
