After studying the debinding of a green part with a thickness of 4.26 mm, it was found that, the debinding rate of polyethylene glycol(PEG) in water and alcohol was high initially, and then decreased; however, it would increase with temperature increasing. At room temperature, the dissolution rate of PEG in water was higher than that in alcohol, but the latter would be much faster with temperature increasing because the debinding activation energy in alcohol was 51.44 kJ·mol -1 ·K -1 , much higher than 24.23 kJ·mol -1 ·K -1 in water. With a green part thickness larger than 4.26 mm, the debinding was controlled by diffusion; but with that smaller than 2.36 mm, the debinding was controlled by both dissolution and diffusion.展开更多

The results indicate that when water-binder ratio is lower than 0.40, the cement-based material with limestone powder has insignificant change in appearance after being soaked in 10% magnesium sulfate solution at low temperature for 120 d, and has significant change in appearance after being soaked at the age of 200 d. Expansion damage and exfoliation occur on the surface of concrete test cube at different levels. When limestone powder accounts for about 28 percent of cementitious material, with the decrease of water-binder ratio, the compressive strength loss has gradually decreased after the material is soaked in the magnesium sulfate solution at low temperature at the age of 200 d. After the specimen with the water-binder ratio of less than 0.4 and the limestone powder volume of greater than 20% is soaked in 10% magnesium sulfate solution at low temperature at the age of 200 d, gypsum attack-led destruction is caused to the concrete test cube, without thaumasite sulfate attack.展开更多

In this work, the catalysis activity was defined as the degradation rate of methyl orange solution upon ultraviolet lamp irradiation, and the specific areas were determined with nitrogen desorption method. TiO2 crystal form was measured with X-ray powder diffraction and their micro-morphology was observed with SEM. Experimental results indicate that these two binders do not affect the crystal form transformation of TiO2, but silica gol can increase the specific surface area of TiO2 photocatalyst obviously and the addition of sodium silicate can decrease it. In all, silica gol is a better candidate than sodium silicate for higher catalysis property. In conclusion, 6% silica gol is the optimal addition concentration. Under this condition, the ratio of anatase to rutile TiO2 is 64:36, the specific area is 29.67 m^2/g, and as expected, the degradation rate of methyl orange could be as high as 90% after irradiation for 5 days.展开更多

The binder system comprises a major fraction of a mixture of low molecular weight components (LMWCs) and a minor fraction of very finely dispersed polymer. The feedstocks are mixed as a thick slurry at a suitable temperature and are rapidly homogenized by stirring at an adequate shear force. The binders are removed by thermal debinding. The thermal debinding mechanism has been investigated by thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermogravimetry (DTG). At the first stage of debinding, the LMWCs are removed. These open up pore channels which allows much faster removal of the remaining polymer component during the subsequent stage. The microstructures of the moulded green parts were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The debound samples were sintered at different temperatures, and the sintered samples properties were measured.展开更多

Seven different polyurethane acrylate co-polymers were prepared aiming at substituting the two hydroxyl groups of polyethylene glycol (6000, 12,000 and 20,000 g/mol) and two primary hydroxyl groups of polyol through their reaction with corresponding calculated amounts of either isophorone diisoyanate or toluene diisocyanate and caped the remaining isocyanate group with either hydroxy ethyl acrylate or hydroxy propyl methacrylate to get on the polyurethane acrylate polymers [PUA]. From DSC measurement the result of Tg of synthesized PUA are in range from -8.78℃ to 36.4℃. So they can classify as soft binders. The infrared spectra, rheological properties, viscosity measurement, the weight average molecular weight, of the synthesize binders were investigated.展开更多

The results showed that all the feedstocks exhibited pseudoplastic flow behavior. The wax-based binder of multipolymer components (PW-RPP-HDPE) exhibited better comprehensive rheological properties compared with the binder of monopolymer components (PW-RPP or PW-HDPE). The addition of 5wt% SA to the binder could reduce the viscosity of the feedstock but enhance the rheological stability by improving the wettability between the binder and the SiC powder. The binder of 65wt% PW + 15wt% HDPE + 15wt% RPP + 5wt% SA was found to be a better binder for microsized SiC injection molding.展开更多

It is shown that the thermal debinding processes can be divided into two stages: low temperature region, in which the low molecular mass components (LMMCs) are removed; and high temperature region, in which the polymer components are removed. The rate of thermal debinding is controlled by diffusion mechanism. The thermal debinding activation energies were solved out by differential method and integral method. The results show that the addition of other components acted as a catalyzer can effectively decrease the activation energy of thermal debinding processes.展开更多
