In this paper, superconducting tokamaks in diff...The superconducting toroidal field (TF) plays an important role in a superconducting tokamak, whose power supply was developed based on the feedback control principle. In this paper, superconducting tokamaks in different countries are described, and the TF power supply of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) is taken as an example to study the current-sharing characteristics in the current-stabilized stage. Firstly, the mathematical model of the TF power supply is established, and then the 3-loop control method is put forward for achieving the stability and reliability of current-stabilization and current-sharing. Furthermore, further studies indicate that the current-sharing controller has no influence on the current-stabilized control, and current-stabilizing and current-sharing can be realized at the same time. All the work done provides valuable references for the current-sharing design of the TF power supply for a superconducting tokamak, and all these studies lay a solid foundation for developing superconducting tokamaks.展开更多

The toroidal field (TF) power supply of this tokamak should provid...J-TEXT, formerly TEXT-U at the University of Texas at Austin in USA, is a medium-sized tokamak at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The toroidal field (TF) power supply of this tokamak should provide a current of 160 kA and a flat duration of 500 ms for the toroidal field coils to generate a maximum toroidal field of 3 T at the geometric center of the vaccum vessel. This paper presents a design of a new control system which takes the real-time feedback control option for the TF power supply operation. The system was tested successfully during the commissioning. In the first experimental campaign of J-TEXT, the system effectively controlled the power supply to provide a fiat current up to 92.5 kA and therein the TF produced reached 1.74 T, which enabled the machine to generate the first plasma successfully.展开更多

This design improves the body force and induced jet velocity while allowing flexible control of the induced jet angle, overcoming the limitations of discharge extension and uncontrollable direction in traditional DBD plasma actuators. An integrated plasma power supply has been designed specifically for TES-DBD plasma actuators, streamlining the power supply management. The methodology involves designing the circuit topology for the TES-DBD power supply, followed by simulating and validating its operating principles using Multisim software. Unlike the traditional traction power supply system which enables the electrified railway traction sub- station to be connected to power grid in a way of phase rotation, a new generation traction power supply system w...Unlike the traditional traction power supply system which enables the electrified railway traction sub- station to be connected to power grid in a way of phase rotation, a new generation traction power supply system without phase splits is proposed in this paper. Three key techniques used in this system have been discussed. First, a combined co-phase traction power supply system is applied at traction substations for compensating negative sequence current and eliminating phase splits at exits of substations; design method and procedure for this system are presented. Second, a new bilateral traction power supply technology is proposed to eliminate the phase split at section post and reduce the influence of equalizing current on the power grid. Meanwhile, power factor should be adjusted to ensure a proper voltage level of the traction network. Third, a seg- mental power supply technology of traction network is used to divide the power supply arms into several segments, and the synchronous measurement and control technology is applied to diagnose faults and their locations quickly and accurately. Thus, the fault impact can be limited to a min- imum degree. In addition, the economy and reliability of the new generation traction power supply system are analyzed.展开更多

But elongated plasma has vertical displacement instability, so a feedback control system is needed to restrain the plasma's vertical displacement. A fast control power supply is needed to excite the active feedback coils, which produces a magnetic field to control the plasma's displacement. With the development of EAST, the fast control power supply needs to keep on enhancing the fast response and output current. The structure of a new power supply is introduced in this paper. The method of multiple inverters paralleled with the current sharing reactor is presented to meet the need for large current and fast control. According to the design demands of the EAST fast control power supply, the adjuster of the current close loop is applied to the inverter, which can advance its ability to restrain the loop current in low frequency and DC output. The result of the experiment confirms the validity of the proposed scheme and control strategy.展开更多

This power supply consists of many switch power supplies, and its out...The high voltage power supply (HVPS) based on pulse step modulation (PSM) has already been developed for the auxiliary heating system on HL-2A. This power supply consists of many switch power supplies, and its output voltage can be obtained by modulating their delay time and pulse widths. The PSM topology and control principle are presented in this paper. The simple algorithms for the control system are explained clearly. The switch power supply (SPS) module has been built and the test results show it can meet the requirements of the auxiliary heating system. Now, 112 SPS modules and the whole system have already been developed. Its maximum output is about 72 kV/93 A. The protection time is less than 5 t*s. The different outputs of this power supply are used for the electron cyclotron resonant heating (ECRH) system with different duty ratios. The experimental results of the entire system are presented. The results indicate that the whole system can meet the requirements of the auxiliary heating system on HL-2A.展开更多
The China Fusion Engineering Test Reactor plans to build a 200 k V/25 A acceleration grid power supply(AGPS)for the negative-ion-based neutral beam injector prototype system.The AGPS uses a rectifier-inverter-isolated...The China Fusion Engineering Test Reactor plans to build a 200 k V/25 A acceleration grid power supply(AGPS)for the negative-ion-based neutral beam injector prototype system.The AGPS uses a rectifier-inverter-isolated step-up structure.There is a DC bus between the rectifier and the inverter.In order to limit DC bus voltage ripple and transient fluctuations,a large number of capacitors are used,which degrades the reliability of the power supply and occupies a large amount of space.This work finds that due to the difference in the turn-off time of the rectifier and the inverter,the capacitance mainly depends on the rectifier current when the inverter is turned off.On this basis,an active power filter(APF)scheme is proposed to absorb the current.To enhance the dynamic response ability of the APF,model predictive control is adopted.In this paper,the circuit structure of the APF is introduced,the prediction model is deduced,the corresponding control strategy and signal detection method are proposed,and the simulation and experimental results show that APF can track the transient current of the DC bus and reduce the voltage fluctuation significantly.展开更多

In the power supplies for the master and slave arcs, the digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320F28335 is used to form the DSP- based synergic control system for parallel high-power pulsed GMA W, which achieves high-power output of two parallel inverters controlled by a single DSP ; master-slave communication is achieved by using e controller area network (eCAN)module of DSP, thas realizing anti-phase pulse output of high-power twin-wire pulsed GMA W and reducing the interference between twin arcs. The experiment results demonstrate that the designed inverter power supply system for high-power twin-wire pulsed GMAW can bring about high-power efficiency of welding, stable welding process and proper formation of welds.展开更多

At present, the poloidal field power supply consists of three subsystem sets, namely Ohmic heating field power supply, vertical field power supply, and horizontal field power supply. The structure and function of the poloidal field (PF) power supply as well as the updated control system of the power supply is described. The new scheme uses the realtime feedback control method for the poloidal field power supply. The experimental results show that the poloidal field energized by poloidal field power supply meets the J-TEXT operational requirement perfectly.

文摘High-voltage power supply (HVPS) of Electron Cyclotron Resonance Heating (ECRH) for HT-7 and HT-7U is presently being constructed. The high voltage (100 kV) energy of HVPS is stored in the capacitor banks, and they can power one or two gyrotrons. All the operation of the charging system will be done by the control system, where the field signals are interfaced to programmable logic controller (PLC). The use of PLC not only simplifies the control system, but also enhances the reliability. The software written by using configuration software installed in the master computer allows for remote and multiple operator control, and the status and data information is also remotely available.

文摘A type of novel inverter power supply system for high-power twin-wire pulsed gas metal arc welding (GMAW) is presented mainly for dealing with the disadvantages of the conventional power supply for twin-wire pulsed GMA W of which the output power is generally difficult to increase due to limitations of the power of semiconductors and the power density of magnetic devices. In the power supplies for the master and slave arcs, the digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320F28335 is used to form the DSP- based synergic control system for parallel high-power pulsed GMA W, which achieves high-power output of two parallel inverters controlled by a single DSP ; master-slave communication is achieved by using e controller area network (eCAN)module of DSP, thas realizing anti-phase pulse output of high-power twin-wire pulsed GMA W and reducing the interference between twin arcs. The experiment results demonstrate that the designed inverter power supply system for high-power twin-wire pulsed GMAW can bring about high-power efficiency of welding, stable welding process and proper formation of welds.
文摘In the project Wendelstein 7-X (W7-X), the popular fieldbus Profibus has been determined as a uniform connection between the central control system and all the subordinate systems. A universal embedded control system has been developed for W7-X power supply controlling. Siemens 80C167CR microcontroller is used as the central control unit of the system. With a user-defined printed circuit board (PCB) several control buses, i.e., Profibus, CAN, IEEE 488, RS485 and RS 232 have been connected to the microcontroller. The corresponding hardware interfaces for the control buses have been designed. A graphic liquid crystal display(LCD) and a user-defined keyboard are used as user interface. The control software will be developed with a C-like language, i.e., C166 for the controller.

文摘Digital control of a general-purpose switching power supply is one of the key technologies to perform the high reliability and the intelligent function demanded for the next generation. The contribution of this paper is the development of a digital control-based switching power supply. In the developed system, the generation method of the optimal voltage reference to eliminate the limit cycle oscillation of output voltage due to the AD/DA resolution is proposed. In the proposed method, the variation of the input power source voltage can be also compensated. The effectiveness of the proposed optimal reference generation method is experimentally verified.

文摘In order to satisfy the requirement of ECRH for power supply, pulse high voltage ( HV ) power supply has been developed. The main parameters of the power are: output voltage -55 kV, output current 25 -2 A, stability ±0.5%, pulse duration 1 s, the leading edge and lagging edge of the pulse is about 40 μs and so on. On the other hand, the system should have preferable protective capability. In this paper, the hardware and principle of the power supply, hardware, software and arithmetic method of the control system are presented.
