This paper proposes a scheme which combines the automatic power control loop and te...An integrated laser diode driver(LDD) driving an edge-emitting laser diode was designed and fabricated by 0.35 μm BiCMOS technology. This paper proposes a scheme which combines the automatic power control loop and temperature com-pensation for modulation current in order to maintain constant extinction ratio and average optical power. To implement tem-perature compensation for modulation current,a novel circuit which generates a PTAT current by using the injecting base current of a bipolar transistor in saturation region,and alternates the amplifier feedback loop(closed or not) to control the state of the current path is presented. Simulation results showed that programmed by choice of external resistors,the IC can provide modu-lation current from 5 mA to 85 mA with temperature compensation adjustments and independent bias current from 4 mA to 100 mA. Optical test results showed that clear eye-diagrams can be obtained at 155 Mbps,with the output optical power being nearly constant,and the variation of extinction ratio being lower than 0.7 dB.展开更多

We introduced the working principle of the powered support control system of the plough at the mining face. We established three advanced characteristics of this control system: response speed, reliability and easy maintenance of the system. As well, we briefly introduced, the principal function of primary and subordinate controllers and the realization of the communication system by a Single Bus. Ten controllers were constructed and tested in our laboratorium. The results show that the control model is practical and meets actual conditions. It provides a theoretical basis for designing a comouter control system for a oowered support system of a plough at a mining face.展开更多

This paper analyzes the power grid side and unit side influence factors on the isolated power system. The dynamic models which are suitable for islanding operation are applied to simulate and analyze the stability and dynamic characteristics of the isolated power system under the conditions of different load disturbances and governor parameters. With considering the differences of frequency characteristics between the interconnected and isolated power system, the adjusting and optimization methods of under frequency load shedding are proposed to meet the frequency stability requirements simultaneously in the two cases. Not only proper control strategies of the power plant but the settings of their parameters are suggested to improve the operation stability of the isolated power system. To confirm the correctness and effectiveness of the method mentioned above, the isolated system operation test was conducted under the real power system condition, and the results show that the proposed coordinated control strategies can greatly improve stability of the isolated power system.展开更多

The existing synchronization methods largely depend on the complex communication protocol. Therefore, this paper has proposed a method of automatic measurement and compensation of synchronization delay, and analyzed its operating principle and implementation procedure in detail. The increasing use of renewable energy in the power system results in strong stochastic disturbances and degrades the control performance of the distributed power grids.In this paper,a novel multi-agent collaborative ...The increasing use of renewable energy in the power system results in strong stochastic disturbances and degrades the control performance of the distributed power grids.In this paper,a novel multi-agent collaborative reinforcement learning algorithm is proposed with automatic optimization,namely,Dyna-DQL,to quickly achieve an optimal coordination solution for the multi-area distributed power grids.The proposed Dyna framework is combined with double Q-learning to collect and store the environmental samples.This can iteratively update the agents through buffer replay and real-time data.Thus the environmental data can be fully used to enhance the learning speed of the agents.This mitigates the negative impact of heavy stochastic disturbances caused by the integration of renewable energy on the control performance.Simulations are conducted on two different models to validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.The results demonstrate that the proposed Dyna-DQL algorithm exhibits superior stability and robustness compared to other reinforcement learning algorithms.展开更多
An improved automatic voltage coordination control strategy (AVCCS) based on ;automatic voltage control (AVC) and battery energy storage control (BESC) is proposed for photovoltaic grid-connected system (PVGS)...An improved automatic voltage coordination control strategy (AVCCS) based on ;automatic voltage control (AVC) and battery energy storage control (BESC) is proposed for photovoltaic grid-connected system (PVGS) to mitigate the voltage fluctuations caused by environmental disturbances. Only AVC is used when small environ- mental disturbances happen, while BESC is incorporated with AVC to restrain the voltage fluctuations when large disturbances happen. An adjustable parameter determining the allowed amplitudes of voltage fluctuations is introduced to realize the above switching process. A benchmark low voltage distribution system including ]?VGS is established by using the commercial software Dig SILENT. Simulation results show that the voltage under AVCCS satisfies the IEEE Standard 1547, and the installed battery capacity is also reduced. One important preventive issue to develop these units is islanding situation. Expert diagnosis system is needed to distinguish network cut off from normal occurrences. It should detect islanding in time to disconnect the unit and prevent any additional failures in equipment. An important part of synchronous generator is automatic load-frequency controller (ALFC). This controller is designed properly to respond to load variations and to fix frequency at constant value when working alone as an islanding system and to control output power when operating in parallel with the main. In this paper, a new approach based on monitoring ALFC re-sponse with regard to input signal to governor is introduced. Numbers of initial crossing value are introduced as an index for islanding detection. Simulation results show that input signal to governor has different characteristics in common disturbances.展开更多
