A Research of Pre-service Teachers' Lead-in Strategies in English Teaching

Lead-in, referring to the teaching activities at the very beginning of a class, is one of the most basic steps in English classroom teaching. Short though it is, it plays an essential role in arousing students' attention, stirring up students' interest, enhancing their motivation, activating the atmosphere of classroom teaching, and achieving teaching objectives. Based on the previous literature about lead-in, the author first discusses the importance and functions of lead-in, and then analyzes some lead-in strategies on the basis of the 17 teaching cases of pre-service English teachers.

Pre-Service Teachers Attitude towards Teaching Environmental Education (EE) during Practicum in Malaysian Primary Schools

Environmental Education (EE) has been introduced into the Malaysian Curriculum since 1992. Related to that, EE was found to be an important subject that must be known by the teachers, prior to teach EE indirectly in the classroom. Problems occurred while implementing EE in schools such as;less knowledge about EE an extra burden among teachers to teach. At Teachers Training Institute (TTI), EE is a compulsory subject due to complete their training and this study carried out to identify the attitude of teaching EE among pre-service teachers’. The reliability of the items showed 0.830 cronbach’s alpha. One hundred and twenty five respondents among pre-service teachers’ were analyzed and the result shows pre-service teachers’ have positive attitude towards teaching EE in classroom. Analysis of data shown that there are significant differences between male and female pre-service teachers’ in attitude of teaching, with t = 0.036 (p 0.05).

Genre Analysis on the Abstracts of Graduation Papers Written by Pre-service Teachers of English

As a particular genre,Abstract is a growing field of study in linguistics. Move analysis is one aspect that has conducted to describe RA abstract. This article analyzed the particular genre with the purpose of helping them work out good abstracts for academic writing to improve their ability of doing research. One hundred abstracts were selected randomly from all the 450 graduation papers written by Eng lish-major pre-service teachers in 2010 in Hunan First Normal University in China. These informative abstracts were analyzed with the framework of Hyland's 2000 Model. The results revealed that these English-major pre-service teachers haven't done well in the abstract writing for their graduation paper, most of whom have no good understanding about the move model and move sequence, which impli cates that explicit introduction of terms of genre, move and move sequence etc., and training on how to write good abstracts in future study are really needed.

Beliefs about Language Learning Held by Pre-service Teachers:A case study

Language learning beliefs play a very important role in influencing learners' attitudes,motivations and also shape their experiences and actions in classroom.Successful learners develop insightful beliefs about language learning process,their own abilities and the use of effective strategies.However language learning beliefs can be different because of individual learner differences and contextual diversity.This study aimed at exploring beliefs about language learning held by pre-service teachers.159 pre-service teachers majoring in English at Qianan Normal College for Nationalities participated in the study.A 34-item questionnaire adapted from Horwitz's(1987) BALLI was used to collect the data.The results were reported and discussed from the following five aspects:1) beliefs about foreign language aptitude,2) beliefs about difficulty of language learning,3) beliefs about nature of language learning,4) beliefs about learning and communication strategies,and 5) beliefs about motivation and expectations.Suggestions on pedagogical implications and for future research were also indicated.

An Investigation on Pre-service English Teachers’ Perceptions Toward Using Portfolio Assessment in English Writing Teaching at Middle Schools

According to curriculum reform,more diversified ways of evaluation on students are needed.In response to the need of this,recent years have seen an increase in using portfolio assessment as evaluation method in English writing teaching,which is a kind of formative assessment.Prior studies investigated the effects of portfolio assessment on improving students’writing abilities from students’points of views.However,this thesis is set from the angles of pre-service teachers,which looks at their perceptions to using portfolio assessment in teaching writing.

School Support Services Model for Students With Disabilities in General Education Classrooms： Using Data From the Special Needs Education Longitudinal Study in Taiwan

The purposes of this study were to establish a school support service model for students with disabilities in general classroom, and to explore the current status of school support services provided for students with disabilities in preschools, primary, and junior high schools. Therefore, this study used data from the Special Needs Education Longitudinal Study in Taiwan, collected in the 2007-2008 academic year. There were 2,924 students with disabilities selected in the study who were placed in general classrooms; 855 were in preschool, 1,079 were in primary school and 990 were in junior high school. The questionnaires in the database were answered by their teachers. The results of this study are listed, as follows： In terms of the school support service model for students with disabilities in the three stages of education, adjustment in teaching accounts for 1-15% of the explanatory power regarding the overall model, while support services account for 63-85%, which peak in junior high schools. Secondly, itinerant teachers are found to be the most important human resource in preschools. For primary and junior high schools, parents and special education teachers are the more prevalent influences. The more common school support services are tuition refunds, itinerant services, adjustments in examinations, and scholarships.

综合性大学师范生专业发展现状及影响因素研究

师范生的专业发展水平直接关乎其未来从教的稳定性,也会间接影响教育质量。基于全国五大地区3787名综合性大学师范生的发展水平问卷调查发现:综合性大学师范生的总体专业发展水平较高,专业能力的发展水平低于其他维度,尤其体现为学科转化能力有待进一步提升;大三年级师范生的专业发展艰难,具体表现为角色认同摇摆和职业规划尚不明朗。研究还发现,师范生发展水平存在一定差异。随着生源地在城市、乡镇和村(屯)中的变化,师范生在某些方面的表现可能会呈现出不同特征。为提升综合性大学师范生的专业发展水平,应贯通学科课程,提高师范生学科理解力;营造教师教育文化,增强教师角色认同;凸显教师教育课程的区域性,推进高质量教师队伍均衡建设。

《教学与教师教育》杂志(Teaching and Teacher Education)引领教师教育与发展研究的国际前沿。分析了该刊的最新文献,发现该领域的研究动向是:职前教师的知识与能力、培养方式,初任教师的入职指导,在职教师的话语、知识、课堂教学、师生关系、发展路径,共同关注的是韧性、情商等心理素质,研究特点呈多元化。

职前教师学科教学知识的认知:困境、原因与改进策略

职前教师学科教学知识的认知包括学科知识认知与教学实践两个层面。研究基于9位职前教师的27次反思报告,运用质性研究方法,通过分析职前教师对学科知识的诠释、重组、呈现,探究职前教师学科知识认知与教学实践之间的关系,并阐释职前教师学科教学知识的认知困境与原因。研究发现,如果职前教师未能意识到学科知识的独立性和专业性,则很难恰当地将学科知识融入教学实践,以致教学实践中存在学科知识欠缺的现象。故教师培养者应补充相关的学科知识,以帮助职前教师形成合理、整体、全面的学科教学知识;职前教师应深化、重组学科知识认知,调整审视教学内容的视角并在教学实践中恰当地呈现学科知识。

How to Promote the Online Flow of High-Quality Teacher Resources under the"Double Reduction"Policy:An Analysis of Factors Influencing Teachers'Continuance Intention to Participate in Online After-School Teaching Services

Promoting the online flow of high-quality teacher resources has emerged as an important way to pursue coordinated progress in burden reduction and quality improvement under the"double reduction"policy.Based on the Open Online Tutoring Program of Secondary School Teachers(hereinafter referred to as"the open tutoring program")in City A,China,this study examined the factors influencing teachers'continuance intention to participate in the open tutoring program and their structural relationships,using a structural equation modeling analysis based on 1,159 sample data.The results show that:Firstly,teachers'reputation enhancement,perceived playfulness,perceived usefulness,and perceived ease of use have a positive effect on teachers'continuance intention to participate in online after-school teaching services.Secondly,online teaching efficacy has no direct effect on teachers'continuance intention,but rather impacts their reputation enhancement and beliefs about the value of the open tutoring program.Thirdly,social influence has a positive effect on teachers'reputation.Fourthly,perceived ease of use has a positive effect on teachers'perception of the value of the open tutoring program.In light of the above,relevant suggestions are proposed to encourage teachers to continue participating in online after-school teaching services.

“经师”与“人师”统一:我国中小学教师职前培养的关键难点

中小学教师职前培养是其职业生涯的主体中心环节,在此过程中强调“经师”与“人师”的统一,是其可否成为教师职业胜任者的重中之重,也是中小学教师职前培养的关键难点。当前我国中小学教师职前培养偏重“经师”,体现出知识本位、技能本位、实践本位等目标取向。实现“经师”与“人师”的统一培养特别是培养“人师”意义重大,培养“人师”不仅是弘扬中华优秀传统文化的内在要义,而且是落实“立德树人”教育根本任务的必然要求,还是新时代建设高质量教师队伍的根本遵循。目前在实现“经师”与“人师”统一过程中,还面临着培养主体育人理念存在错位、培养对象在专业学习过程中功利化倾向较为严重、培养过程的核心维度和关键内容失之偏颇等问题。基于此,中小学教师职前培养应遵循国家聚焦制度政策建设、学校致力培养过程改革、高校教师夯实“人师”培养能力、师范生主动提升“人师”力等多维协同,最终实现“经师”与“人师”的统一培养。

高校师范类专业认证行为偏差的现实表征、成因及治理

高校作为师范类专业认证的重要行动者,其认证行为的质量直接关涉认证目标的实现与认证价值的发挥。研究发现:高校在推进师范类专业认证工作的过程中存在诸多行为偏差,包括认证前的行为意向偏差、认证中的改革行为偏差以及认证后的持续改进行为偏差。究其原因在于,认证客体的认证素养储备不足、认证主客体组织架构固化、认证政策体系不完善及认证保障性措施欠缺。为矫正高校师范类专业认证行为偏差,需要从提升认证客体的认证素养,打破认证主客体固化的组织架构,完善认证政策体系及优化认证保障条件等方面作出努力。

新时代教师教育的内涵、使命与发展方向——专访北京师范大学朱旭东教授

朱旭东教授作为我国教师教育领域的权威专家之一,在教师教育理论和实践领域都有着深厚的学术造诣。朱旭东教授在我国率先提出了师范教育向教师教育转变的观点,并从国际比较、制度设计、理论研究和实践创新等多个方面进行积极探索,取得了丰硕的成果,有力地推动了我国教师教育事业的发展。朱旭东教授重点论述了新时代背景下教师教育的内涵、时代使命和发展方向。在对教师教育内涵的分析中,朱旭东教授认为教师教育是聚焦教师终身发展的立体化教育体系,既包含教师的职前职后教育体系,也包含教师教育机构和制度体系。朱旭东教授认为教师教育学科具有三重属性:既是一项国家事业,也是一个学术范畴,同时还是一项实践性工作。教师教育不但要实现自身的现代化发展,还要促进高质量教师队伍建设,为实施科教兴国战略贡献力量。朱旭东教授还指出,我国教师教育的发展方向是建设均衡而有质量的特色化教师教育体系,尤其要重视发展学科教师教育,由此推动高质量教师教育体系建设,让教师教育学科为国家基础教育发展发挥促进作用。

乡村定向师范生培养研究的回顾与展望

乡村定向师范生是乡村振兴背景下教师教育研究的新对象。乡村定向师范生培养研究主要集中于培养主体、培养定位、核心素养、培养体系、培养效果五大板块。现有研究明确了系列理论问题:地方师范院校是培养乡村定向师范生的主要院校,乡村定向师范生培养以“下得去、留得住、教得好”为根本指向,“本土化培养”和“全科教师培养”是乡村定向师范生培养的核心任务,等等。乡村定向师范生培养研究还存在需要改进之处,如研究内容和理论深度需要拓展,研究方法不应限于理论思辨为主,应形成多学科研究范式等。未来研究应注重拓展研究内容、深化研究层次,强化实证研究取向、提倡研究方法多元化,确立多学科研究范式、开展多学科和多视角研究。

国际中文教师职前教育的工程化设计

工程化是国际中文教师职前教育发展的新思维。用工程思维来审视,当前国际中文教师职前教育的目标、内容、课程、过程、评价等各个要素都存在一些问题,比如教育目标相对比较宽泛,设置的中文学科内容较多,教学实习等实践类课程较少,不同课程主要是按照理论先导的逻辑进行排序,教育过程主要采用“传递—接受”式,教育评价主要是对学生应掌握的知识进行纸笔测试,等等。与此同时,采用工程化的原理、思维和方法则可以为解决这些问题提供一种思路,比如力求实现教育目标的明确化、内容的模块化和集成化、课堂教学的情境化和实践化、评价的多维化等。

高校教师评价改革的“破”与“立”——基于新公共服务理论的分析框架

高校教师评价是激发高校教师内在活力的管理工具,高校教师评价亟须破除“五唯”,从而充分发挥其引导和激励作用。以新公共服务理论为依据,从治理目标、治理主体和治理内容入手,构建高校教师评价改革分析框架。高校教师评价改革的基本方向是:在评价目标上,破除“短期功利主义”;在评价主体上,破除“形式化参与”;在评价内容上,破除“片面重视科研”。未来要从支持高校教师自我发展的“内生发展”评价、促进高校教师全面发展的“多方相长”评价和鼓励高校教师个性发展的“全面响应”评价三个方面深化高校教师评价改革。

我国职业教育教师的TPACK认知水平评估

该文旨在验证修改后的整合技术的学科教学知识(TPACK)量表的可靠性和有效性,并评估在职业教育教师中TPACK认知水平的情况,突出对职业教育教师TPACK的研究的必要性和重要性。采用定量研究设计方法进行验证性因子分析,共纳入2898个样本。结果显示:教师们的TPACK认知水平处于中等水平,经验更丰富的教师比没有经验的同行具有更高水平;同时,在欠发达地区,TPACK认知水平明显低于发达地区。因此,建议职教老师的TPACK发展路径需要结合教育数字化战略和新技术的要求,提供培训和发展机会,培养技术能力,集成技术和学科知识,培养教师的专业素养,建立协作和分享机制,并加强基础设施建设。这样才能使职教老师在教学实践中更好地运用技术、学科知识和教学能力,提高教育质量和学生的职业素养。这项研究的结果强调了对职业教育教师的TPACK认知水平进行深入研究的重要性,这将有助于了解其对职业教育发展的作用,并为政策制定者、教育机构和教师提供可行的策略和方案,以提高职业教育质量、培养适应时代需求的人才。

“双一流”大学教师国际学术影响力研究——结构、评价指标及影响因素

构建大学教师国际学术影响力的三维评价指标和量表,对中国37所“双一流”大学教师进行了国际学术影响力抽样调查和测评。通过结构方程模型方法,拟合验证了所构建的大学教师国际学术影响力的三维结构,即国际人才培养、国际科学研究和国际社会服务。研究结果表明,大学教师的国际学术影响力平均水平偏低,存在较大的个体差异,同时,还会受到大学教师的学科领域、职称、访学时长、访学次数等因素的显著影响。

高职院校发挥社会服务功能的现实困境及效能优化路径

职教改革背景下社会服务已经成为衡量高职院校办学质量、发展水平的重要指标。当前高职院校社会服务呈现出服务范围地域性明显、服务内容以基础实践为主的特点。针对高职院校社会服务师资综合能力不强、组织执行机制不完善、外部环境支持认可不高等现实困境,应采取组建混编“链上师资团”,打造技能大师工作品牌,创新多元主体社会服务模式;制定“年度社会服务专项规划”,创设专职机构,挑选辅助机构,强化社会服务执行力度;深入工作场景,拓展志愿服务,匹配区域特色优化专业布局,营造良好场域环境,提升高职院校社会服务公众认知度等措施。
