Correlation between Subliminal Depression and the Quality of Life in Patients Preliminarily Diagnosed with Breast Cancer

Objective: To investigate the subthreshold depression and the quality of life in patients preliminarily diagnosed with breast cancer, and to explore their relationship. Methods: A total of 210 patients preliminarily diagnosed breast cancer were recruited by convenience sampling method to complete the self-made general questionnaire, Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale (CES-D), Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression and Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Breast (FACT-B). Results: The incidence rates of subthreshold depression was 48.6% in patients preliminarily diagnosed breast cancer, the total score of FACT-B in patients with subthreshold depression and non-subthreshold depression was (73.92 ±17.62) and (86.74 ±16.15). The total score of CES-D was significantly negatively correlated to the total score and factor scores of FACT-B (p Conclusion: The incidence rate of subthreshold depression in preliminarily diagnosed breast cancer patients is high, and it is closely related to the quality of life, so we should pay attention to the psychological status of preliminarily diagnosed breast cancer patients, to increase the psychological intervention, than improve their quality of life.

A Preliminarily Statistic and Synoptic Study about the Basic Currents over Southeastern Asia and the Initiation of Typhoons

The relation between the basic currents of the low latitudes and the initiation of typhoons is investigated statistic-ally and synoptically by means of recent aerological data. It is shown that about 80% of typhoons developed in the eastern part of the equatorial convergence zone between the equatorial westerlies and trade wind of West Pacific Ocean. The equatorial westerly is a large scale and quasi-steady phenomenon; therefore, it is probably reasonable to be called ＂basic current＂ and typhoons are considered as vortices of smaller scale. There is a quite definite relation- ship between the time, position, frequency of the initiation of typhoons and the position, strength of the basic cur-rents in the low latitudes. There is a quasi-periodical variation of the strength and position of the basic currents with a period longer than one month. This fact may be helpful for the extended forecast the initiation and development of ty-phoons.

Effect of Mulberry Leaf Powder Supplement on Growth,Slaughter Performance and Meat Quality of Wanxi White Goose

The effect of mulberry leaf powder on growth,slaughter performance and meat quality of Wanxi white goose was investigated by adding different proportions of mulberry leaf powder in the basal goose diet. After 125-day-old Wanxi white geese were fed with diets supplemented with 5%,8% and 11% mulberry leaf powder for consecutive 50 d,the average daily feed intake increased slightly,while the average daily weight gain decreased extremely（ P 〈 0. 01）,and the ratio of feed to gain increased significantly（ P 〈 0. 01） compared to control. The slaughter rate,semi-eviscerated rate and eviscerated rate of Wanxi white goose in experimental groups Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ were higher than those in control group,and the slaughter rate was significantly higher than that in control group（ P 〈 0. 05）. Adding mulberry leaf powder in diet significantly reduced the abdominal fat rate of Wanxi white goose（ P 〈 0. 01）,but had no significant impact on pectoral muscle rate and limb muscle rate（ P 〉 0. 05）. Compared to control group,the contents of dry matter,fat,crude protein,saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid of Wanxi white geese in experimental groups decreased significantly（ P 〈 0. 05）,and the content of total amino acids also decreased slightly. The inosinic acid content in muscle of Wanxi white goose in groups Ⅱ and Ⅳ were slightly higher than that in control group. The thiamine content of Wanxi white goose in group Ⅳ was 52. 00%higher than that in control group（ P 〈 0. 05）. These results preliminarily showed that adding appropriate amount of mulberry leaf powder in diet could significantly improve the slaughter performance of Wanxi white goose,and improve the flavor of meat. But high amount of mulberry leaf powder should be avoided to ensure the palatability of diet.

Preliminary study of divertor particle exhaust in the EAST superconducting tokamak

The particle exhaust of the upper tungsten and lower carbon divertors in EAST has been preliminarily studied during the 2016 experimental campaign. The density decay time during terminating gas puffing has been employed as a key parameter to evaluate the divertor particle exhaust performance. Comparative plasma discharges have been carried out on the particle exhaust performance between two toroidal field directions in the upper single null and lower single null divertor configurations. This work has enhanced the understanding of the effects of the in–out asymmetry and divertor geometry on the efficiency of the divertor particle exhaust. In addition, the sensitivity of the particle exhaust capability on different strike point locations has been analyzed. The experimental results are expected to provide important information on the future upgrade of EAST bottom divertor and facilitate the realization of longer pulse operation.
