Compound business model of cultural product is the way out of private bookstores. Based on the previous study on consumer motivation theory, the paper uses the statistical method of factor analysis to establish reader's demand motivation model of compound business model. And from the perspective of supply, the paper extracts four important dimension features of compound private bookstores. The comparison between the demand and the supply indicates that compound private bookstores have disadvantages, and the paper proposes constructive suggestions for the future development of the business model.展开更多

This study was undertaken to understand how private club general managers (GMs) and chief operating officers (COOs) perceive their ease of use, usefulness, and enjoyment of social media. Surveys were completed by attendees at the Club Managers Association of America Business Management Institute III (CMAA BMI III) executive development in Spring 2014 and Fall 2014. As one of a few empirical information technology (IT) studies in the context of the private club industry, the findings of this study are expected to provide baselines to academics and private club GMs/COOs in understanding the processes of social media technology adoption and acceptance in the private club industry.展开更多

The deep research on private investment in urban and rural human capital in Guangxi is necessary for developing economy and narrowing urban-rural gap. Through the analysis on the historic statistics, it is found that there were disparities total quantity and investment structure of private investment in human capital of urban and rural residents. By using the ELES model, the marginal investment trend, investment demand, elastic income, own-price elasticity and mutual-price elasticity of private investment in human capital of urban and rural residents are analyzed. It is pointed out that income is the key factor that affects the private investment in human capital of urban and rural residents. In Guangxi, the private investment and marginal investment in human capital of urban and township residents are higher than that of rural residents;the own-price elasticity and mutual price elasticity of rural residents' private investment in human capital are all higher than that of urban residents'.展开更多

However, studies related consumer attitudes towards private shopping sites in Turkey are limited in the literature. So, the main aim of this paper is revealing variables that affect attitudes of PSSs customers in Turkey and conceptualizing these variables within the scope of a model that depends on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) In this descriptive study, research population includes all of the consumers who made at least one shopping from PSSs in Turkey and "snowball sampling method" is used. In consequence of an online survey application 409 questionnaires are analyzed. As a result of regression analysis, all of the 14 hypotheses are accepted. In conclusion all of the variables in the model (product quality, delivery service, system quality, information quality, service quality, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, compatibility, privacy, and security) have significant relations with consumer attitudes. The most important variables in building positive attitudes towards PSSs are perceived usefulness and compatibility. Conversely the lowest variance prediction percentage belongs to privacy variable.展开更多

The school-enterprise cooperation, as a personnel training mode adapting to the development of the times, makes ftill use of the resources of universities and enterprises, which is of great significance to strengthen the mutually beneficial cooperation between schools and enterprises and to train the practical talents. However, problems such as the imperfect equipment of private colleges and universities, the inactive participation of the enterprises in the cooperation, and the lack of communication and exchange between the two sides, still exist. Therefore, it is of great practical significance for the development of the national education and the social progress to put forward the improvement measures and accelerate the development of the efficient and mutually beneficial mode of the school-enterprise cooperation.展开更多

The private access model is the most sustainable of the three major conservation models because it provides the best information and incentives to balance the needs of humans and wildlife, maintain general wildlife habitat, and adapt quickly to changing environmental and/or socioeconomic conditions. Government-controlled access, however, can be employed as a model of last resort if the private access model shows signs of failing to protect specific species from local extirpation or extinction, which it is most likely to do for migratory species, species with close commercial substitutes, and species with no direct commercial value. Government regulators may also be needed to enforce property rights arrangements like catch shares and to monitor resources that remain open access in case socioeconomic or environmental conditions change sufficiently to trigger the tragedy of the commons. Most treatments of wildlife regulation default to various iterations of the government access model and fail even to consider the costs and benefits of private and open access models. The analysis here instead shows the conditions in which each conservation access model is most appropriate: open when a resource is in high supply and low demand, private most of the time, and government when the others fail to slow resource depopulation/depletion.展开更多

Adolescents spend a considerable amount of their time in school, and the school environment is therefore important for child health practices and outcomes. Objectives: We aimed to investigate the impact on smoking behavior of the school environment and the personal characteristics of male teenage students attending schools in Pakistan, taking into account the survey sampling structure. Methods: A two-stage cluster sampling with stratification was employed, and we interviewed 772 male secondary school students. We adopted random effect and generalizing estimating equation models. Results: Peer pressure in particular had a strong influence on adolescents smoking;those whose friends smoked were up to 6 times more likely to smoke. Family smoking was also significantly associated with adolescents smoking, but those students whose mother was educated were 50% less likely to smoke. The fitted random effect model indicated that the between school variability was significant (p-value < 0.01), indicating differences in smoking habits between schools. A random coefficient model showed that variability among schools was not significantly different for public and private schools. Conclusion: Public health campaigns for smoking cessation should target not only the individual but also the families of adolescents attending schools.展开更多
