Private higher vocational colleges in Hainan play an important role in higher education.As Hainan vigorously develops free trade port construction,it is in urgent need of a number of professional and compound talentsw...Private higher vocational colleges in Hainan play an important role in higher education.As Hainan vigorously develops free trade port construction,it is in urgent need of a number of professional and compound talentswho knowforeign languages and applied skills.In line with the characteristics of serving regional development,Hainan private vocational colleges need to further strengthen the cultivation of students’English ability in future teaching to better serve the construction of Hainan free trade port.As we all know,there are many factors that affect students’English learning.In addition to cognitive ability,emotional factors are also among the most important factors.Among the emotional factors,anxiety,as a negative factor,hinders students’English learning to some extent.In this paper,282 non-English major students from Sanya Aviation and Tourism College were selected as the research objects,and SPSS22.0 was used to analyse the collected data through a questionnaire survey to determine the current English classroom learning anxiety of private vocational college students and whether there is a difference in the level of English classroom anxiety among students of different genders,regions and majors.Finally,some relevant suggestions have been put forward to relieve students’English classroom learning anxiety,providing a valuable reference for teachers’future English classroom teaching.展开更多
