Deep Learning Approach for Cosmetic Product Detection and Classification

As the amount of online video content is increasing,consumers are becoming increasingly interested in various product names appearing in videos,particularly in cosmetic-product names in videos related to fashion,beauty,and style.Thus,the identification of such products by using image recognition technology may aid in the identification of current commercial trends.In this paper,we propose a two-stage deep-learning detection and classification method for cosmetic products.Specifically,variants of the YOLO network are used for detection,where the bounding box for each given input product is predicted and subsequently cropped for classification.We use four state-of-the-art classification networks,namely ResNet,InceptionResNetV2,DenseNet,and EfficientNet,and compare their performance.Furthermore,we employ dilated convolution in these networks to obtain better feature representations and improve performance.Extensive experiments demonstrate that YOLOv3 and its tiny version achieve higher speed and accuracy.Moreover,the dilated networks marginally outperform the base models,or achieve similar performance in the worst case.We conclude that the proposed method can effectively detect and classify cosmetic products.

Detection of Patulin in Dairy Products by ELISA

The content of patulin in dairy products was detected by rapid ELISA assay. The pretreatment of samples was simple, with wide range of application. The standard product showed good linear relationship with the range of 0-5.4 μg/kg, and the linear relationship reached 0.999 3, with high sensitivity. It took shorter time, with a total time-consumption of 1 h. Moreover, it had good repeatability for analytical requirements.

Production and Detection of Ultracold Ground State 85Rb133Cs Molecules in the Lowest Vibrational Level by Short-Range Photoassociation

We investigate the production of ultracold ground state x^1∑7＋（u = 0） RbCs molecules in the lowest vibrational level via short-range photoassociation followed by spontaneous emission. The starting point is the laser cooled 85Rb and laa cs atoms in a dual species, forced dark magneto-optical trap. The special intermediate level （5）O＋ （u = 10） correlated to the （2）311 electric state is achieved by the photoassociation process. The formed ground state X1∑＋ （u = 0） molecule is resonantly excited to the 2111 intermediate state by a 651 nm pulse laser and is ionized by a 532nm pulse laser and then detected by the time-of-flight mass spectrum. Saturation of the photoionization spectroscopy at large ionization laser energy is observed and the ionization efficiency is obtained from the fitting. The production of ultracold ground state 85Rblaacs molecules is facilitative for the further research about the manipulation of ultracold molecules in the rovibrational ground state.
