Hot dry rock(HDR)is rich in reserve,widely distributed,green,low-carbon,and has broad development potential and prospects.In this paper,a distributionally robust optimization(DRO)scheduling model for a regionally integrated energy system(RIES)considering HDR co-generation is proposed.First,the HDR-enhanced geothermal system(HDR-EGS)is introduced into the RIES.HDR-EGS realizes the thermoelectric decoupling of combined heat and power(CHP)through coordinated operation with the regional power grid and the regional heat grid,which enhances the system wind power(WP)feed-in space.Secondly,peak-hour loads are shifted using price demand response guidance in the context of time-of-day pricing.Finally,the optimization objective is established to minimize the total cost in the RIES scheduling cycle and construct a DRO scheduling model for RIES with HDR-EGS.By simulating a real small-scale RIES,the results show that HDR-EGS can effectively promote WP consumption and reduce the operating cost of the system. 展开更多

From the perspective of a community energy operator,a two-stage optimal scheduling model of a community integrated energy system is proposed by integrating information on controllable loads.The day-ahead scheduling analyzes whether various controllable loads participate in the optimization and investigates the impact of their responses on the operating economy of the community integrated energy system(IES)before and after;the intra-day scheduling proposes a two-stage rolling optimization model based on the day-ahead scheduling scheme,taking into account the fluctuation of wind turbine output and load within a short period of time and according to the different response rates of heat and cooling power,and solves the adjusted output of each controllable device.The simulation results show that the optimal scheduling of controllable loads effectively reduces the comprehensive operating costs of community IES;the two-stage optimal scheduling model can meet the energy demand of customers while effectively and timely suppressing the random fluctuations on both sides of the source and load during the intra-day stage,realizing the economic and smooth operation of IES. 展开更多

The ubiquitous and deterministic communication systems are becoming indispensable for future vertical applications such as industrial automation systems and smart grids.5G-TSN(Time-Sensitive Networking)integrated networks with the 5G system(5GS)as a TSN bridge are promising to provide the required communication service.To guarantee the endto-end(E2E)QoS(Quality of Service)performance of traffic is a great challenge in 5G-TSN integrated networks.A dynamic QoS mapping method is proposed in this paper.It is based on the improved K-means clustering algorithm and the rough set theory(IKCRQM).The IKC-RQM designs a dynamic and loadaware QoS mapping algorithm to improve its flexibility.An adaptive semi-persistent scheduling(ASPS)mechanism is proposed to solve the challenging deterministic scheduling in 5GS.It includes two parts:one part is the persistent resource allocation for timesensitive flows,and the other part is the dynamic resource allocation based on the max-min fair share algorithm.Simulation results show that the proposed IKC-RQM algorithm achieves flexible and appropriate QoS mapping,and the ASPS performs corresponding resource allocations to guarantee the deterministic transmissions of time-sensitive flows in 5G-TSN integrated networks. 展开更多

To solve the multi-objective FJSP, the Grantt graph oriented string representation (GOSR) and the basic manipulation of the genetic algorithm operator are presented. An integrated operator genetic algorithm (IOGA) and its process are described. Comparison between computational results and the latest research shows that the proposed algorithm is effective in reducing the total workload of all machines, the makespan and the critical machine workload. 展开更多

Addressing the insufficiency in down-regulation leeway within integrated energy systems stemming from the erratic and volatile nature of wind and solar renewable energy generation,this study focuses on formulating a coordinated strategy involving the carbon capture unit of the integrated energy system and the resources on the load storage side.A scheduling model is devised that takes into account the confidence interval associated with renewable energy generation,with the overarching goal of optimizing the system for low-carbon operation.To begin with,an in-depth analysis is conducted on the temporal energy-shifting attributes and the low-carbon modulation mechanisms exhibited by the source-side carbon capture power plant within the context of integrated and adaptable operational paradigms.Drawing from this analysis,a model is devised to represent the adjustable resources on the charge-storage side,predicated on the principles of electro-thermal coupling within the energy system.Subsequently,the dissimilarities in the confidence intervals of renewable energy generation are considered,leading to the proposition of a flexible upper threshold for the confidence interval.Building on this,a low-carbon dispatch model is established for the integrated energy system,factoring in the margin allowed by the adjustable resources.In the final phase,a simulation is performed on a regional electric heating integrated energy system.This simulation seeks to assess the impact of source-load-storage coordination on the system’s low-carbon operation across various scenarios of reduction margin reserves.The findings underscore that the proactive scheduling model incorporating confidence interval considerations for reduction margin reserves effectively mitigates the uncertainties tied to renewable energy generation.Through harmonized orchestration of source,load,and storage elements,it expands the utilization scope for renewable energy,safeguards the economic efficiency of system operations under low-carbon emission conditions,and empirically validates the soundness and efficacy of the proposed approach. 展开更多

We introduce a Dynamic and Integrated Resource Scheduling algorithm (DAIRS) for Cloud data centers. Unlike traditional load-balance scheduling algorithms which often consider only one factor such as the CPU load in physical servers, DAIRS treats CPU, memory and network bandwidth integrated for both physical machines and virtual machines. We develop integrated measurement for the total imbalance level of a Cloud datacenter as well as the average imbalance level of each server. Simulation results show that DAIRS has good performance with regard to total imbalance level, average imbalance level of each server, as well as overall running time. 展开更多

With the development of manufacturing technology, we can probe a new way to solve this problem. Firstly, a new method for task granularity quantitative analysis is put forward, which can precisely evaluate the task granularity of complex product cooperation workflow in the integrated manufacturing system, on the above basis; this method is used to guide the coarse-grained task decomposition and recombine the subtasks with low cohesion coefficient. Then, a multi-objective optimieation model and an algorithm are set up for the scheduling optimization of task scheduling. In view of the fact that traditional job shop scheduling only considers a single factor, which affects the effect of resource allocation, the dual-resource integrated scheduling problem between AGV and machine in intelligent manufacturing job shop environment was studied. The dual-resource integrated scheduling model of AGV and machine was established by comprehensively considering constraints of machines, workpieces and AGVs. The bidirectional single path fixed guidance system based on topological map was determined, and the AGV transportation task model was defined. The improved A* path optimization algorithm was used to determine the optimal path, and the path conflict elimination mechanism was described. The improved NSGA-Ⅱ algorithm was used to determine the machining workpiece sequence, and the competition mechanism was introduced to allocate AGV transportation tasks. The proposed model and method were verified by a workshop production example, the results showed that the dual resource integrated scheduling strategy of AGV and machine is effective. 展开更多

The connection between production scheduling and transportation scheduling is getting closer in smart manufacturing system, and both of those problems are summarized as NP-hard problems. However, only a few studies have considered them simultaneously. This paper solves the integrated production and transportation scheduling problem(IPTSP) in hybrid flow shops, which is an extension of the hybrid flow shop scheduling problem(HFSP). In addition to the production scheduling on machines, the transportation scheduling process on automated guided vehicles(AGVs)is considered as another optimization process. In this problem, the transfer tasks of jobs are performed by a certain number of AGVs. To solve it, we make some preparation(including the establishment of task pool, the new solution representation and the new solution evaluation), which can ensure that satisfactory solutions can be found efficiently while appropriately reducing the scale of search space. Then, an effective genetic tabu search algorithm is used to minimize the makespan. Finally, two groups of instances are designed and three types of experiments are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. The results show that the proposed method is effective to solve the integrated production and transportation scheduling problem. 展开更多

This paper presents robust optimization models for a multi-product integrated problem of planning and scheduling (based on the work of Terrazas-Moreno & Grossmann (2011) [1]) under products prices uncertainty. With the objective of maximizing the total profit in planning time horizon, the planning section determines the amount of each product, each product distributed to each market, and the inventory level in each manufacturing site during each scheduling time period;the scheduling section determines the products sequence, start and end time of each product running in each production site during each scheduling time period. The uncertainty sets used in robust optimization model are box set, ellipsoidal set, polyhedral set, combined box and ellipsoidal set, combined box and polyhedral set, combined box, ellipsoidal and polyhedral set. The genetic algorithm is utilized to solve the robust optimization models. Case studies show that the solutions obtained from robust optimization models are better than the solutions obtained from the original integrated planning and scheduling when the prices are changed. 展开更多

In order to explore the potential of profit margin improvement,a novel three-scale integrated optimization model of furnace simulation,cyclic scheduling,and supply chain of ethylene plants is proposed and evaluated.A decoupling strategy is proposed for the solution of the three-scale model,which uses our previously proposed reactor scale model for operation optimization and then transfers the obtained results as a parameter table in the joint MILP optimization of plant-supply chain scale for cyclic scheduling.This optimization framework simplifies the fundamental mixed-integer nonlinear programming(MINLP)into several sub-models,and improves the interpretability and extendibility.In the evaluation of an industrial case,a profit increase at a percentage of 3.25%is attained in optimization compared to the practical operations.Further sensitivity analysis is carried out for strategy evolving study when price policy,supply chain,and production requirement parameters are varied.These results could provide useful suggestions for petrochemical enterprises on thermal cracking production. 展开更多

The integrated and optimized model is based on our previous research result-effective space method. An integrated algorithm suitable for the integrated and optimized model was proposed and corresponding computer programs were designed to solve practical problems. Compute r Aided Process Planning (CAPP) is a step in this direction. Most of the existin g CAPP systems do not consider scheduling while generating a process plan. Sched uling is done separately after the process plan has been generated and therefore , it is possible that a process plan so generated is either not optimal or feasi ble from scheduling point of view. As process plans are generated without consid eration of job shop status, many problems arise within the manufacturing environ ment. Investigations have shown that 20%~30% of all process plans generated are not valid and have to be altered or suffer production delays when production sta rts. There is thus a major need for integration of scheduling with computer aide d process planning for generating more realistic process plans. In doing so, eff iciency of the manufacturing system as a whole is expected to improve. Decision support system performs many functions such as selection of machine too ls, cutting tools, sequencing of operations, determination of optimum cutting pa rameters and checking availability of machine tool before allocating any operati on to a machine tool. The process of transforming component data, process capabi lity and decision rules into computer readable format is still a major obstacle. This paper proposes architecture of a system, which integrates computer aided p rocess-planning system with scheduling using decision support system. The evolutionary strategy with a dynamic weighting schedule is proposed to find all the compromised solutions of the multi-objective integrated structure and control optimization problem, where the optimal system performance and control cost are defined by H2 or H∞ norms. During this optimization process, the weights are varying with the increasing generation instead of fixed values. The proposed strategy together with the linear matrix inequality (LMI) or the Riccati controller design method can find a series of uniformly distributed nondominated solutions in a single run. Therefore, this method can greatly reduce the computation intensity of the integrated optimization problem compared with the weight-based single objective genetic algorithm. Considering both process planning and shop scheduling in manufacturing can fully utilize their complementarities,resulting in improved rationality of process routes and high-quality and efficient production. Hence,the study of Integrated Process Planning and Scheduling (IPPS) has become a hot topic in the current production field. However,when performing this integrated optimization,the uncertainty of processing time is a realistic key point that cannot be neglected. Thus,this paper investigates a Fuzzy IPPS (FIPPS) problem to minimize the maximum fuzzy completion time. Compared with the conventional IPPS problem,FIPPS considers the fuzzy process time in the uncertain production environment,which is more practical and realistic. However,it is difficult to solve the FIPPS problem due to the complicated fuzzy calculating rules. To solve this problem,this paper formulates a novel fuzzy mathematical model based on the process network graph and proposes a MultiSwarm Collaborative Optimization Algorithm (MSCOA) with an integrated encoding method to improve the optimization. Different swarms evolve in various directions and collaborate in a certain number of iterations. Moreover,the critical path searching method is introduced according to the triangular fuzzy number,allowing for the calculation of rules to enhance the local searching ability of MSCOA. The numerical experiments extended from the well-known Kim benchmark are conducted to test the performance of the proposed MSCOA. Compared with other competitive algorithms,the results obtained by MSCOA show significant advantages,thus proving its effectiveness in solving the FIPPS problem. 展开更多

Flexible load can optimize the load curve,which is an important means to promote renewable energy consumption.The peculiarities of electricity,heat,cooling and gas loads are analyzed in this paper,considering the fuzzy degree of human perception for water temperature,and the characteristic model of hot water load is established.Considering the fuzzy degree of human perception of ambient temperature,the characteristic model of cooling load is established by using PMV and PPD index.Meanwhile,considering four combinations of cut load,translatable load,transferable load and alternative load,and considering the coupling relationship of composite parts,different response models of load are established respectively.With the minimum cost of the system,including operation and compensation costs as the objective function,the optimization scheduling model of the regional integrated energy system is established,and the Gurobi solver is used for simulation analysis to solve the optimal output and load response curve of each piece of equipment.The results show that the load curve can be optimized,the flexible regulation ability of the regional integrated energy system can be enhanced,the energy loss of the system can be reduced,and the wind power consumption ability of the system can be increased by considering the integrated demand response. 展开更多

Automated Guided Vehicle(AGV)scheduling problem is an emerging research topic in the recent literature.This paper studies an integrated scheduling problem comprising task assignment and path planning for AGVs.To reduce the transportation cost of AGVs,this work also proposes an optimization method consisting of the total running distance,total delay time,and machine loss cost of AGVs.A mathematical model is formulated for the problem at hand,along with an improved Discrete Invasive Weed Optimization algorithm(DIWO).In the proposed DIWO algorithm,an insertion-based local search operator is developed to improve the local search ability of the algorithm.A staggered time departure heuristic is also proposed to reduce the number of AGV collisions in path planning.Comprehensive experiments are conducted,and 100 instances from actual factories have proven the effectiveness of the optimization method. 展开更多
