The contrastive studies of Korean and Chinese demonstrative pronouns have been so far restricted to the similarities and differences of their demonstrative usages. The present paper concludes that Korean and Chinese demonstrative pronouns also differ from each other in the function of anaphora, which is mainly reflected in the following aspects: difference between the simple and complex forms; dissymmetry of demonstrative pronouns; dissymmetry of ataphor and anaphor; similarities and differences of the combination “demonstrative + personal pronoun” in anaphoric function.展开更多
