Acinetobocter baumannfi (A. Baumannii) is an emerging opportunistic pathogen responsible for hospital-acquired infections, and which now constitutes a sufficiently serious threat to public health to necessitate the development of an effective vaccine. In this study, a recombinant fused protein named OmpK/Omp22 and two individual proteins OmpK and Omp22 were obtained using recombinant expression and Ni-affinity purification. Groups of BALB/c mice were immunized with these proteins and challenged with a clinically isolated strain of A. boumonnii. The bacterial load in the blood, pathological changes in the lung tissue and survival rates after challenge were evaluated. Mice immunized with OmpK/Omp22 fused protein provided significantly greater protection against A. boumonnfi challenge than those immunized with either of the two proteins individually. The results provide novel clues for future design of vaccines against A. boumonnii. 展开更多

Nowadays,clear evaluation models and methods are lacking in classified protection of information system,which our country is making efforts to promote.The quantitative evaluation of classified protection of information system security is studied.An indicators system of testing and evaluation is established.Furthermore,a model of unit testing and evaluation and a model of entirety testing and evaluation are presented respectively.With analytic hierarchy process and two-grade fuzzy comprehensive evaluation,the subjective and uncertain data of evaluation will be quantitatively analyzed by comprehensive evaluation.Particularly,the variable weight method is used to model entirety testing and evaluation.It can solve the problem that the weights need to be adjusted because of the relationship role which enhances or reduces security of information system.Finally,the paper demonstrates that the model testing and evaluation can be validly used to evaluate the information system by an example.The model proposed in this paper provides a new valuable way for classified protection of information system security. 展开更多

We evaluated the antimutagenic effects kinds of bioactive phytochemicals and of 10 some phytochemical combinations against methotrexate (MTX)-induced genotoxicity by the umu test in Salmonella typhimurium TA1535/rpSK1002 combined with a micronucleus assay. We observed that allicin, proanthocyanidins, polyphenols, eleutherosides, and isoflavones had higher antimutagenic activities than the other five types of bioactive phytochemicals. At the highest dose tested, MTX-induced genotoxicity was inhibited by 25%-75%. Kunming mice treated by MTX along with bioactive phytochemical combinations showed significant reduction in micronucleus induction and sperm abnormality rate (P〈0.01). These results indicate that bioactive phytochemical combinations can be potentially used as new cytoprotectors. 展开更多

Recent researches focused on developing robust blast load mitigation systems due to the threats of terrorist attacks.One of the main embraced strategies is the structural systems that use mitigation techniques.They are developed from a combination of structural elements and described herein as conventional systems.Among the promising techniques is that redirect the waves propagation through hollow tubes.The blast wave propagation through tubes provides an efficient system since it combines many blast wave phenomena,such as reflection,diffraction,and interaction.In this research,a novel blast load mitigation system,employed as a protection fence,is developed using a technique similar to the technique of the bent tube in manipulating the shock-wave.The relative performance of the novel system to the conventional system is evaluated based on mitigation percent criteria.Performances of both systems are calculated through numerical simulation.The proposed novel system proved to satisfy high performance in mitigating the generated blast waves from charges weight up to 500 kg TNT at relatively small standoff distances(5 m and 8 m).It mitigates at least 94%of the blast waves,which means that only 6%of that blast impulse is considered as the applied load on the targeted structure. 展开更多

Twenty patients undergoing open-heart valve replacement were divided randomly into two groups in this study; intermittent perfusion of cold crystalloid (St. Thomas Hospital solution) with hypothermic cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) (hypothermic group) and continuous administration of warm blood cardioplegia with normothermic CPB (normothermic group) respectively. Tissue samples were taken from the right atrium before weaning from CPB and from the right appendage 30 minutes after removal of the cross-clamp. Evaluating the effectiveness of protecting nature assets is a vital component of responsive, pro-active management of protected areas. It is important to protect reserves of geological (including fossils) assets as a means to also protect national and natural heritage. At the end of 2013, 2669 protected areas had been established in China and 123 of them are reserves for nature assets. This paper builds an evaluation framework for protection effectiveness of these assets. The current elements and characteristics for effective protection are analyzed, along with an analysis of existing problems so as to construct a scientific approach to protect these assets. The influencing elements and characteristics for effective protection of nature asset reserves are included in an index evaluation system for effective protection in such areas, which contains four parts-target layer, evaluation criteria, evaluation indexes, and evaluation parameters-based on related documents and files. For the target layer, it includes nature asset evaluation and management evaluation. In the end, it is discussed how to build a comprehensive evaluation model and achieve an effective quantitative evaluation. 展开更多
