Thus, scientific protection strategies are urgently needed to change this status. Changbai Mountains contains one of the largest BKPFs and is considered a priority biodiversity conservation area in China. Guided by systematic conservation planning(SCP) methods and procedures, we chose representative species and communities in BKPFs ecosystem as priority conservation objects, and set quantitative conservation target, which is in the light of the biodiversity characteristic of BKPFs. The watershed area is used as planning unit. We used CPlan software to calculate the irreplaceability(Ir)value of each planning unit and the contribution value(Ti) of each conservation object to(1) assess the conservation efficiency;(2) identify the conservation gap of the existing conservation network. Then wecalculated a human disturbance index(HDI) for planning units in the conservation gaps and combine this with the Ir value to design three conservation scenarios to optimize the conservation network. Results show that planning units with high conservation value 14.16% of the total area, with3084.36 km2 were covered by the existing conservation network. 79.28% of planning units with high conservation value have not been protected which were concentrated mainly in the eight gap areas.Only 25.3% of protection objects achieved their conservation target with the existing conservation network. Conservation efficiency is low. Three conservation scenarios are constituted, each prioritizing a different aim:(1) ecological value;(2)species rescue; and(3) economical avoidance. The three conservation schemes potentially enable 93%,88% and 51% of conservation objects, respectively, to achieve identified conservation targets, thereby improving conservation efficiency significantly.展开更多

Technologically, biological protection of plants (hereinafter bioprotection) is a high agricultural technology involving agricultural landscape approach and basee on an ecological imperative, namely “use living beings against living beings”. In a wide sense, present-day bioprotection is a fundamental and applied field of knowledge providing harmless suppression of harmful agents during cultivation and storage of agricultural crops by use natural and (or) artificially constructed organisms (including genetically modified ones having pesticidal properties) and products of their live cycle. The overall objective of bioprotection consists in producing harmless, profitable and high-quality vegetative raw material, food, fodder. At the same time, bioprotection agrotechnologies are important environment forming and environment maintaining factors, steady and positively influencing the health of both rural ethnos, and agrosphere as a whole. Realization of integrated bioprotection approaches should provide minimum destruction of beneficial and non-target organisms, excluding the succession of harmful species and appearance of species resistant to biocontrol agents. 2. Theoretical foundation of bioprotection. The following postulates and imperatives of biosphere science, agrarian and social ecology make the scientific basis of bioprotection: “The Nature knows the how and why of things better”; Steady, balanced development of agrosphere (proceeding from a presumption of life support) is based on biocentrism and biosystem relations, or consortism of its consorbents; Control of the agrosphere by human beings could be effective only in case of primary realization of biocenotic regulation; Biocenotic regulation, dynamics of the number and species diversity of agrosphere is realized through trophically similar cenoconsorcia and tritrophic systems, that provides maintenance and preservation of trophically proved critical level of harmful species; Biotic and man-caused effects on argosphere are regularly registered and the degree of these effects on non-target biota is comprehensively estimated, operative measures to prevent its elimination are taken, if necessary. Thus, artificial agrocenoses and agroecosystems are immanent components of the agrospehere. Functioning of their bioresources meets the same laws of the Nature, as the functioning of the biota of natural ground ecosystems. When agrocenoses and agroecosystems make a single whole with the elements of preserved natural ecosystems, reproduction of bioresources, their protection against expansion of competitive and cosmopolitan species are realized at a level of steadily functioning agrocenoconsorcia, where “living beings protect living beings”. 3. Bioprotection and agrosphere. Present-day bioprotection is based on agrolandscape approaches. The major global function of the agrolandscape involves utilization of maximum quantity of solar energy. Modern geosystemic definition of the agrolandscape emphasizes not only its production abilities, but also its social and design-aesthetic functions: “... is an existing geosystem anthropogenically modified for agricultural use and formed with the purpose of the most effective and ecologically safe use of natural and anthropogenic resources for manufacturing economically and socially reasonable quantity of agricultural production and creation of the welfare and spiritual environment for harmonious development of humans” (A.V. Zaharenko, 2004) . The paradox is, that current plant growing (initially based on the use of gratuitous, inexhaustible solar energy and renewed resources of agrosphere) has turned in the most resource uneconomic branch of economy by the beginning of XXI century. Therefore agricultural technologies, including protection of plants, should mostly use renewable, instead of exhaustible resources and not renewable sources of raw material and energy, materialized in agrochemicals, chemical pesticides, oil展开更多

Low effectiveness would exacerbate the conservation-development conflicts, particularly those that arise as a result of the Great Western Development Strategy(GWDS). Thus, an assessment of the effectiveness of the PA network has become quite important. We proposed natural vegetation communities to represent regional ecological system diversities, and proposed Global 200 Priority Ecoregions, Important Bird Areas, and ecosystem function regions to represent important conservation areas. To determine their effectiveness, we studied the extent to which ecological system diversities and important conservation areas are represented by the existing 96 PAs. Our results indicated that the total coverage of vegetation communities in PAs in Northwest China is not sufficiently comprehensive. As the PA system has expanded, the growth in the total area of the PAs has been greater than that of their vegetation community richness. While most of the important conservation areas are covered by PAs, some regions have not yet reached the 10% threshold; further, PAs are distributed unevenly and conservation gaps remain in the region. Therefore, these regions should receive more attention when planning new PAs. It is vital that more biodiversity datasets and assessment of ecosystem function regions are integrated in order to provide a basis for the government to formulate appropriate protection and development strategies.展开更多

We suggest that continuous tracheal gas insufflation (TGI) during protective mechanical ventilation could improve cardiopulmonary function in acute lung injury. Totally 12 healthy juvenile piglets were anesthetized and mechanically ventilated at PEEP of 2 cmH2O with a peak inspiratory pressure of 10 cmH2O. The piglets were challenged with lipopolysaccharide and randomly assigned into two groups (n=6 each group): mechanical ventilation (MV) alone and TGI with continuous airway flow 2 I/min. FIO2 was set at 0.4 to avoid oxygen toxicity and continuously monitored with an oxygen analyzer. Tidal volume, ventilation efficacy index and mean airway resistant pressure were significantly improved in the TGI group (P〈0.01 or P〈0.05). At 4 hours post ALl, pH decreased to below 7.20 in the MV group, and improved in the TGI group (P〈0.01). Similarly, PaCO2 was stable and was significantly lower in the TGI group than in the MV group (P〈0.01). PaO2 and PaO2/FIO2 increased also in the TGI group (P〈0.05). There was no significant difference in heart rate, respiratory rate, mean artery pressure, central venous pressure, dynamic lung compliance and mean resistance of airway between the two groups. Lung histological examination showed reduced inflammation, reduced intra- alveolar and interstitial patchy hemorrhage, and homogenously expanded lungs in the TGI group. Continuous TGI during MV can significantly improve gas exchange and ventilation efficacy and may provide a better treatment for acute lung injury.展开更多

Therefore agricultural technologies, including protection of plants, should mostly use renewable, instead of exhaustible resources and not renewable sources of raw material and energy, materialized in agrochemicals, chemical pesticides, oil

文摘Braking energy recovery(BER)aims to recover the vehicle's kinetic energy by coordinating the motor and mechanical braking torque to extend the driving range of the electric vehicle(EV).To achieve this goal, the motor/generator mode requires frequent switching and prolonged operation during driving. In this case, the motor temperature will unavoidably rise, potentially triggering motor thermal protection(MTP).Activating MTP increases the risk of motor component failure, and the EV typically disables the BER function. Thus, maximizing BER while reducing the risk of motor overheating is a challenging problem. To address this issue, this article proposes a predictive BER strategy with MTP using the non-smooth Pontryagin Minimum Principle(NSPMP)for EVs.Firstly,a Markov long short-term memory(MLSTM)model is designed to obtain future velocity information.Secondly, the BER problem with MTP in the studied EV is embedded in a model predictive control(MPC)framework. Then, under the MPC framework, the NSPMP strategy is proposed to resolve the problem of MTP.Finally, the performance of the proposed strategy is verified through simulation and a hardware-in-loop test. The results show that in two real-world driving cycles, compared to the rule-based strategy, the proposed strategy reduced power consumption by 1.24%and0.96%,respectively,and effectively limited motor temperature.Additionally, under global cycle conditions, this strategy demonstrated better MTP control performance compared to other benchmark strategies.

文摘Protected areas(PAs) have experienced explosive growth in Northwest China over the last three decades, but their effectiveness in representing regional ecological system diversity has not attracted considerable attention. It is vital that more biodiversity datasets and assessment of ecosystem function regions are integrated in order to provide a basis for the government to formulate appropriate protection and development strategies.
文摘Low tidal volume mechanical ventilation is difficult to correct hypoxemia, and prolonged inhalation of pure oxygen can lead to oxygen poisoning. Continuous TGI during MV can significantly improve gas exchange and ventilation efficacy and may provide a better treatment for acute lung injury.
