Industrial Parks （IPs） in the Northern Key Economic Zone of Vietnam （NKEZ） have been making significant contributions to the development of the zone since the first two industrial parks--Noi Bai in Hanoi and Nomur...Industrial Parks （IPs） in the Northern Key Economic Zone of Vietnam （NKEZ） have been making significant contributions to the development of the zone since the first two industrial parks--Noi Bai in Hanoi and Nomura in Hal Phong--were established 15 years ago. So far, there have been 51 IPs in the zone, covering a total area of 13,000 ha. Such IPs play a crucial role in mobilizing capital from domestic and international investors for investments in infrastructure enhancement, trade and production aimed at promoting the economic structure transition. However, besides the above benefits, there are a number of unstable factors preventing further development of the IPs. Thus, the objectives of this study are two-fold. The first is to analyze the unstable factors, and the second is to map out strategies to enhance sustainable development of industrial parks in Vietnam＇s northern key economic zone.展开更多
With the rapid development of urbanization,the industrial parks originally located in the suburbs are gradually incorporated into the urban center.Industries that fail to follow the transformation of urban economic de...With the rapid development of urbanization,the industrial parks originally located in the suburbs are gradually incorporated into the urban center.Industries that fail to follow the transformation of urban economic development and are forced to close,or enterprises that move out without conforming to the environment,become a gray area within the city.Most of the existing assessments are conducting single assessment of some indicators,but than their actual benefits.Through the field investigation on the starting area of Handan Economic Development Zone,and the evaluation on the nature of land use,development intensity,investment and output,and idle land,inefficient land use in the park is identified.According to different evaluation results,different update and promotion methods are put forward.The research could provide a new evaluation method and idea for subsequent renewal and development of urban industrial parks.展开更多
Starting from the regional characteristic industrial park planning plan,a horizontal comparison of domestic and foreign typical urban regional industrial park planning cases is carried out,and the commonalities charac...Starting from the regional characteristic industrial park planning plan,a horizontal comparison of domestic and foreign typical urban regional industrial park planning cases is carried out,and the commonalities characteristics are analyzed to explore the regularity and universality of the Tonghua urban characteristic industrial park.Under the guiding principles for planning and development of ecological industrial parks,the city’s resource advantages,industry goals and positioning are studied and analyzed from the perspectives of the government,market,and enterprises.It is pointed out that the government should formulate policies,regulations and the construction of characteristic industrial parks in combination with new planning methods.The market should build industrial parks with the support of industrial stimulus and technological innovation.Finally,it summarizes the realization path of regional characteristic industrial parks from five aspects:positioning and goals,ways to achieve goals,profit models,customers and values,basic advantages and exclusive resources.展开更多
With rapid globalization,industrial parks are playing an increasingly important role in the national and regional development.Since the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI)was put forward,national-level overseas industrial p...With rapid globalization,industrial parks are playing an increasingly important role in the national and regional development.Since the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI)was put forward,national-level overseas industrial parks of China have emerged with new development features and trends.It is of great importance to carry out a comparative study on domestic and overseas industrial parks of China.Based on the perspective of spatiotemporal evolution,this paper compares and analyzes national-level overseas industrial parks along the Belt and Road(B&R)and domestic industrial parks of China.In time,China’s industrial parks have experienced four stages with distinctive state-led characteristic.There are different development paths and modes for overseas industrial parks along the B&R and domestic industrial parks.In space,the national-level overseas industrial parks are invested and constructed by Chinese enterprises(mostly from the coastal developed cities),and mainly distributed in the countries along the B&R.Through typical cases comparison of Thai-Chinese Rayong Industrial Zone and Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area,the paper finds that national-level overseas industrial parks are basically market-driven and concentrated in traditional advantageous industries,while domestic industrial parks are mainly government-led high-tech industries.Localization of overseas industrial parks and remote coupling with domestic industrial parks become very important.展开更多
