However, patients usually avoid speaking out their emotions when expressing their somatic symptoms and complaints to their non-psychiatrist doctor. On the other hand, clinicians usually lack the required expertise(or time) and have a deficit in mining various verbal and non-verbal emotional signals of the patients. As a result, in many cases, there is an emotion recognition barrier between the clinician and the patients making all patients seem the same except for their different somatic symptoms. In particular, we aim to identify and combine three major disciplines(psychology, linguistics, and data science) approaches for detecting emotions from verbal communication and propose an integrated solution for emotion recognition support. Such a platform may give emotional guides and indices to the clinician based on verbal communication at the consultation time.展开更多

The pandemic event increased patients’ risk of developing psychological symptoms during and after hospitalisation. These consequences also affected those family members who could not access the hospital. In addition, the initial lack of knowledge about the virus and its management, the climate of fear and uncertainty, the increased workload and the risk of becoming infected and being contagious, had a strong impact on healthcare staff and organizations. This highlighted the importance of interventions aimed at providing psychological support to ICUs, involving patients, their relatives, and the staff;this might involve the reorganisation of the daily routine and rearrangement of ICU staff duties.AIM To conduct a systematic review of psychological issues in ICUs during the COVID-19 pandemic involving patients, their relatives, and ICU staff.METHODS We investigated the PubMed and the ClinicalTrials.gov databases and found 65 eligible articles, upon which we commented.RESULTS Our results point to increased perceived stress and psychological distress in staff, patients and their relatives and increased worry for being infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 in patients and relatives. Furthermore, promising results were obtained for some psychological programmes aiming at improving psychological measures in all ICU categories.CONCLUSION As the pandemic limited direct inter-individual interactions, the role of interventions using digital tools and virtual reality is becoming increasingly important. All considered, our results indicate an essential role for psychologists in ICUs.展开更多

文摘The advent of the digital age has profoundly changed consumers’mindsets and habits. The rapid development of e-commerce and the widespread use of mobile applications have created enormous demand for individual recommendation systems based on mass data. This system not only increases the convenience of purchases and conversions but also alters the purchasing behavior of consumers, leading them to make choices subconsciously.Potential risks associated with large-scale data sharing and usage have heightened consumer concerns regarding privacy, thereby weakening the foundational trust in platforms and deterring them from shopping.Additionally, the rapid growth of e-commerce in the digital age, coupled with changing market circumstances, has intensified psychological pressure on consumers, making their decision-making processes more complex and difficult.Furthermore, the program will explore issues related to improving customer experience, developing individual marketing strategies, and designing customer loyalty plans. It will also address questions of privacy in a digital environment, the dilemmas of excessive or disruptive consumption behavior, and the complexity and diversity of consumer behavior in the face of digital change. The objective of this study is to develop a fear study that will enable a better understanding of the impact of online shopping on consumer behavior and provide a strategic guide for retailers to meet the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital age.

文摘An important factor in the course of daily medical diagnosis and treatment is understanding patients’ emotional states by the caregiver physicians. Such a platform may give emotional guides and indices to the clinician based on verbal communication at the consultation time.

文摘As the essence of traditional Chinese educational thought, heuristic teaching has gradually enriched and devel-oped its ideas through the continuous efforts of educational researchers of the past dynasties. In front-line teach-ing,heuristic teaching,as a teaching principle that can help teachers and students to interact and learn, undoubtedly plays an important role in students’acquisition of knowledge and scientific thinking activities. But teachers’understanding of heuristic teaching is not the same.In actual teaching, there are obvious gaps in language ability among different teachers. This research aims to enrich the heuristic teaching theory based on the perspective of psychology, and provide a certain theoretical basis for teacher training.Through the research and analysis of the generation path of the heuristic teaching language, this paper helps more teachers realize the advantages of the heuristic teaching language, improve their own heuristic teaching language level, and provide reference for the scientific teaching evaluation standard. We apply the heuristic instruction language approach proposed in this study and apply it to real classrooms. In the application,it can be clearly found that the students’thinking and participation have been strengthened, and the teaching effect has been significantly improved com-pared with the past, which indicates that the heuristic teaching language generation path in this study has certain practical application value.

文摘Adolescents’emotions and preferences are influenced by their childhood experiences. In today’s world, there is a pervasive eagerness for happiness.Happiness has been linked to feelings of self-strength,seeking help, and psy-chological health. The current quantitative research was designed with a positive psychological perspective to compare Pakistani and Chines adolescents’self-strength,seeking help, and happiness. The research design of the study was causal-comparative.The study population consisted of 400 Pakistani and 409 Chinese adolescents studying in the elementary grades of both countries. The sample was selected by using a simple random sampling technique. It consisted of 413 boys(51%)and 396 girls(49%),319(39)of them were from the age group of 13–14 years,386(48%)of them were from the age group of 15–16 years, and 104(12.9%)were from the age group of 17–18 years.Three different scales were developed to collect study data.Independent sample t-test and simple linear regression were used to test study hypotheses. The analysis revealed that Pakistani adolescents have signifi-cantly higher self-strength,seeking help and happiness than their counterparts. It was also found that adolescents’self-strength and seeking help significant affect their happiness.Based on thefindings,it was suggested to inves-tigate the factors contributing to the improved self-strength,seeking help, and happiness of Pakistani adolescents. It was also recommended to investigate the mediating effect of adolescents’self-strength on the relationship between their happiness and seeking help.
文摘BACKGROUND The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) pandemic produced changes in intensive care units(ICUs) in patient care and health organizations. All considered, our results indicate an essential role for psychologists in ICUs.
