Application of Ethylparaben in Quality Control of Favoring Agents and Fragrances Used for Cigarette Production

This study was conducted to evaluate the antimierobial activity of ethylparaben (ethyl para-hydroxybenzoate) in flavoring agents and fragrances used tot cigarette production. In brief, different levels of ethylparaben were added to Ziyun and Ruanzhen fragrance concentrates, and fermented with or without the additiorl of extra microbial strains. The aroma components in the fermented samples were detected via gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS) assay. The results showed that ethylparaben had good antimicrobial activity on the microorganism in Ziyun and Ruanzhen fragrances, and as it significantly inhibited the growth of Sac- charomyces sp. Aeetobacter sp. , Agrobacterium sp. and Bacillus sp. , with an inhibition rate of 53%. Under natural fermentation condition, 91. 885% of the micro- organisms were inhibited by adding 0. 1 g/kg ethylparaben, 97.69% were inhibited by adding 0.3 g/kg ethylparaben, and 100% were inhibited by adding 0.5 g/kg ethylparaben. Moreover, the addition of ethylparaben had no obvious influence on the aroma components of the favoring agents and fragrances. So, it carl be used as a preservative for the quality control of favoring agents and fragrances for cigarette production. 展开更多

To deal with the increasing demand for low-volume customization of the mechanical properties of cold-rolled products, a two-way control method based on mechanical property prediction and process parameter optimization(PPO) has become an effective solution. Aiming at the multi-objective quality control problem of a company's cold-rolled products, based on industrial production data, we proposed a process parameter design and optimization method that combined multi-objective quality prediction and PPO. This method used the multi-output support vector regression(MSVR) method to simultaneously predict multiple quality indices. The MSVR prediction model was used as the effect verification model of the PPO results. It performed multi-process parameter collaborative design and realized the optimization of production process parameters for customized multi-objective quality requirements. The experimental results showed that, compared with the traditional single-objective quality prediction model based on support vector regression(SVR), the multi-objective prediction model could better take into account the coupling effect between process parameters and quality index, the MSVR model prediction accuracy was higher than that of the SVR, and the optimized process parameters were more capable and reflected the influence of metallurgical mechanism on the quality index,which were more in line with actual production process requirements. 展开更多

Introduction: The present work was devoted to assess the awareness and usage of quality control tools with the emphasis on statistical process control in Ethiopian manufacturing industries. Semi structured questionnaire has been employed to executive and technical managers of manufacturing industries of various size and specialism across the country. Stratified random sample method by region was used to select sample industries for the study. The samples used for this study are industries mainly from Oromiya, Addis Ababa, Tigray, Amara, SNNP and Diredawa regions proportional to their size of the available industries. Methods: Exploratory method and descriptive statistics was used for data analysis. Available documents and reports related to quality control policy of the selected companies were investigated. Results and Discussions: The number of manufacturing industries involved in this study was 44. Of the sampled manufacturing industries about 60% are from Oromiya and Addis Ababa regions. It has been reported that 100% of the respondents said that the importance of quality control tools is very important to their organizations’ productivity and quality improvement (Figure 3). Quality control professionals were also asked the extent to which quality control system is working in their industry and majority of the respondents (45%) have indicated that quality control system is working to some extent in their respective industries (Figure 18). Conclusions and Recommendations: Most of the quality department of the industries did not fully recognize the importance of statistical process control as quality control tools. This is mainly due to lack of awareness and motivation of the top managements, shortage of man power in the area, and others together would make it difficult to apply quality control tools in their organization. In general, the industries in Ethiopia are deficient in vigor and found to be stagnant hence less exposed to a highly competitive market and don’t adopt the latest quality control techniques in order to gain knowledge about systems to improve quality and operational performance. We conclude that quality management system has to be established as an independent entity with a real power and hence the quality control department which is responsible for quality can make an irreversible decision with respect to quality of any given product. Moreover, the concerned bodies (government and ministry of industries) should give attention and work together with universities to ensure how these statistical process control techniques could be incorporated in a curriculum of the universities at higher levels in degree and masters programs. Furthermore, different trainings which could improve quality and efficiency of their respective management system should be given as short and long term to the employees including top and middle managers found in various industries relevant to their process. 展开更多

This paper describes a quality-control supply-chain model using the"Internet+"paradigm.The model is based on principal-agent theory,which considers the reputational loss due to inferior products and external responsibility identification.After model analysis and simulation verification,the results show that the optimal quality-control level and market price of agricultural products can be achieved in the agricultural supply chain based on"Internet+"if and only if the information platform’s claim to the agricultural producer is less than the agricultural producer’s claim to the delivery service provider.Also,a rise in consumers’claims or the agricultural producer’s reputational loss due to inferior products will motivate the quality control of an agricultural procedure.Meanwhile,the market price of agricultural products will also increase with enhanced quality control procedures.The quality-control level of a delivery service provider is inversely proportional to the information platform or its own reputational loss.Thus,the key to promoting quality control along the supply chain is to strengthen the responsibility confirmation of an inferior product between the agricultural producer and the delivery service provider. 展开更多

Nowadays,the internal structure of spacecraft has been increasingly complex.As its“lifeline”,cables require extensive manpower and resources for manual testing,and it is challenging to quickly and accurately locate quality problems and find solutions.To address this problem,a knowledge graph based method is employed to extract multi-source heterogeneous cable knowledge entities.The method utilizes the bidirectional encoder representations from transformers(BERT)network to embed word vectors into the input text,then extracts the contextual features of the input sequence through the bidirectional long short-term memory(BiLSTM)network,and finally inputs them into the conditional random field(CRF)network to predict entity categories.Simultaneously,by using the entities extracted by this model as the data layer,a knowledge graph based method has been constructed.Compared to other traditional extraction methods,the entity extraction method used in this study demonstrates significant improvements in metrics such as precision,recall and an F1 score.Ultimately,employing cable test data from a particular aerospace precision machining company,the study has constructed the knowledge graph based method in the field to achieve visualized queries and the traceability and localization of quality problems. 展开更多

This study investigates the optical properties of sesame oil from traditional and industrial sources using a custom-designed semiconductor laser spectrometer, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and FTIR spectroscopy. Six samples were collected from traditional presses and factories in Khartoum State and White Nile State. The spectrometer, constructed with a 680 nm semiconductor laser and various resistor values, measured the absorbance of sesame oil samples. UV-Vis spectroscopy identified absorbance peaks at 670 nm and 417 nm, corresponding to chlorophyll a and b. FTIR analysis showed nearly identical spectra among the samples, indicating similar chemical compositions. Laser spectrometer analysis revealed specific absorbance values for each sample. The results highlight the feasibility of using a 680 nm semiconductor laser for analyzing sesame oil, providing a cost-effective alternative to other wavelengths. This study demonstrates the potential of integrating traditional methods with modern spectroscopic techniques for the quality assessment of sesame oil. 展开更多

In multistage machining processes(MMPs),a clear understanding of the error accumulation,propagation,and evolution mechanisms between different processes is crucial for improving the quality of machining products and achieving effective product quality control.This paper proposes the construction of a machining error propagation event-knowledge graph(MEPEKG)for quality control in MMPs,inspired by the application of knowledge graphs to data,information,and knowledge organization and utilization.Initially,a cyber-physical system(CPS)-based production process data acquisition sensor network is constructed,and process flow-oriented process monitoring is achieved through the radio frequency identification(RFID)production event model.Secondly,the process-related quality feature and working condition data are preprocessed;features are extracted from the distributed CPS nodes;and the production event model is used to achieve the dynamic mapping and updating of feature data under the guidance of the MEPEKG schema layer.Moreover,the mathematical model of machining error propagation based on the second-order Taylor expansion is used to quantitatively analyze the quality control in MMPs based on the support of MEPEKG data.Finally,the efficacy and reliability of the MEPEKG for error propagation analysis and quality control of MMPs were verified using a case study of a specially shaped rotary component. 展开更多

The industrial organisations have a vested interest in quality and its practices in making a quantum leap, thereby requiring proper refocusing and rethinking. This is targeted seriously towards firms acquiring Knowledge Systems (KS) in order to nurture the employees' capabilities. Therefore, to enhance performances and their highly creative direction takes consideration of QE (quality engineering) and KS and disciplines complementary to each other. Additionally, the flow of operations and activities of the KS through the application of quality engineering (QE) principles is according to the view of Japanese engineer Taguchi. This aims to achieve good quality in the product design and processes, and also to anticipate problems that may occur before the shipping of the products. In this study, the use of quality control engineering and Taguchi's function methods in determining these properties and the loss caused by the company will be examined. However, the adopted approach of study scope to the society will aid KS. Also, efforts in this direction motivate the employment of a statistical method by Taguchi which relied on the principle of target-oriented quality, representing the value characterising the product quality. 展开更多

2009年和2015年中华人民共和国人力资源和社会保障部和国务院国有资产监督管理委员会先后出台了国有企业高管限薪规定,采取了绝对限薪和相对限薪两种不同方式,因此,有必要明晰哪一种方式更有利于促进国有企业高质量发展。以2010—2023年... 2009年和2015年中华人民共和国人力资源和社会保障部和国务院国有资产监督管理委员会先后出台了国有企业高管限薪规定,采取了绝对限薪和相对限薪两种不同方式,因此,有必要明晰哪一种方式更有利于促进国有企业高质量发展。以2010—2023年的A股国有企业为样本进行研究,结果表明:与绝对限薪相比,相对限薪更能够促进国有企业高质量发展,且相对限薪程度越高、内部控制质量越高,上述关系越明显。进一步研究发现,相对限薪促进国有企业发展质量提高是通过降低盈余管理、提高创新效率等路径实现的,且这种作用路径在产品市场竞争度高的国有企业和实体国有企业中更明显。研究结论对合理制定和有效实施限薪政策及提高企业内部控制质量,促进国有企业高质量发展具有启示意义。 展开更多

Editorial board publication strategy and acceptance rates in Turkish national journals 被引量:1

Purpose: This study takes advantage of newly released journal metrics to investigate whether local journals with more qualified boards have lower acceptance rates, based on data from 219 Turkish national journals and 2,367 editorial board members.Design/methodology/approach: This study argues that journal editors can signal their scholarly quality by publishing in reputable journals. Conversely, editors publishing inside articles in affiliated national journals would send negative signals. The research predicts that high(low) quality editorial boards will conduct more(less) selective evaluation and their journals will have lower(higher) acceptance rates. Based on the publication strategy of editors, four measures of board quality are defined: Number of board inside publications per editor(INSIDER), number of board Social Sciences Citation Index publications per editor(SSCI), inside-to-SSCI article ratio(ISRA), and board citation per editor(CITATION). Predictions are tested by correlation and regression analysis.Findings: Low-quality board proxies(INSIDER, ISRA) are positively, and high-quality board proxies(SSCI, CITATION) are negatively associated with acceptance rates. Further, we find that receiving a larger number of submissions, greater women representation on boards, and Web of Science and Scopus(WOSS) coverage are associated with lower acceptance rates. Acceptance rates for journals range from 12% to 91%, with an average of 54% and a median of 53%. Law journals have significantly higher average acceptance rate(68%) than other journals, while WOSS journals have the lowest(43%). Findings indicate some of the highest acceptance rates in Social Sciences literature, including competitive Business and Economics journals that traditionally have low acceptance rates. Limitations: Research relies on local context to define publication strategy of editors. Findings may not be generalizable to mainstream journals and core science countries where emphasis on research quality is stronger and editorial selection is based on scientific merit.Practical implications: Results offer useful insights into editorial management of national journals and allow us to make sense of local editorial practices. The importance of scientific merit for selection to national journal editorial boards is particularly highlighted for sound editorial evaluation of submitted manuscripts.Originality/value: This is the first attempt to document a significant relation between acceptance rates and editorial board publication behavior. 展开更多

For this end, a new criterionwas proposed for this purpose. This criterion indicates how many times the performed path of work is more thanthe defective part. This criterion was called quality factor. It is found out correlation between the HumanDevelopment Index and quality factor. It is shown that, as the quality factor increases, the level of public interestincreases, the level of individual interests decreases and prosperity increases. Democratic thinking replacesadministrative thinking. The author believes that humanity is developing in the direction of public interest and thehistory of humanity is the history of public interest. 生产力变革正在推动数字技术深度创新应用,新质生产力发展背景下数字体育空间构筑将成为我国体育事业发展的正确方向和必然途径。运用文献资料法、逻辑分析法等研究方法,梳理数字体育空间的价值意蕴,从空间生产理论视角剖析新质生产力... 生产力变革正在推动数字技术深度创新应用,新质生产力发展背景下数字体育空间构筑将成为我国体育事业发展的正确方向和必然途径。运用文献资料法、逻辑分析法等研究方法,梳理数字体育空间的价值意蕴,从空间生产理论视角剖析新质生产力驱动数字体育空间的生成逻辑,旨在厘清数字体育空间的推进路径。研究结果表明:数字体育空间具有传播速度快、信息容量大等价值意蕴,以高质量制度治理空间、高科技物质生产空间、高效能公共交往空间组成的三元空间为新质生产力驱动数字体育空间的生成逻辑。基于研究结果从完善顶层设计、创新资源配置、兼顾素养环境3个方面提出新质生产力驱动数字体育空间的推进路径,进而促进公共体育服务提质增效。 展开更多
