Objective:A computer-based STS(simulative training system) in providing pre-hospital trauma care at a disaster site was applied to teaching nursing students in the Second Military Medical University,China.This article...Objective:A computer-based STS(simulative training system) in providing pre-hospital trauma care at a disaster site was applied to teaching nursing students in the Second Military Medical University,China.This article reports on the teaching effectiveness of this system.Methods:Among 92 participants,46 were in the study group and 46 were in the 'control' group. Each student completed a multiple-choice quiz after completing 18 hours(six three-hour sessions) of the study module,and a score was recorded.The simulative training module was completed only by the study group;the 'control' group was assigned in-class discussions for the same amount of time covering the same content as the study group.The final course scores,which included both comprehensive and group task-based tests were compared between these two groups.The study used a descriptive and comparative approach for quantitative data analysis.Tests of independency between the multiple choice scores and the simulation scores were also performed.Finally,anonymous surveys were conducted.Results:The study group performed better than the 'control' group with a significantly higher average score for the group scenario task-based test score,and consequently the study group's final course score was significantly higher than the 'control' group.As per chi-square tests,no significant associations were found between the multiple choice scores and the simulated training scores.The final surveys showed students overwhelmingly agreed that STS training improved their knowledge and skills,their ability to recognize a potential critical event, and their initial response for trauma care at pre-hospital settings.The survey responses of the study group were noteworthy as they indicated that students recognized the importance of simulative training,appreciated the realism of the simulation,and were able to fight/adjust to the stressful feelings in order to focus on the task.Conclusion:Computer-based STS may be an effective teaching model to help students improve their capability in providing pre-hospital trauma care,and in their effectiveness in disaster response.展开更多

Language, as a means of communicating and studying in human society, is one of the vital cognitive activities of human beings. Therefore, the relationship between emotion and language processing is valued by researchers all over the world. According to the Interaction Theory, this paper uses observational method to observe the listeners’ reactions to Ivanka’s speech, including the applause, the yell, face expression, and action, to study the influence of emotion on language processing and language learning so as to study children language teaching methods which can motivate students’ interests in learning and improve their language learning efficiency by applying the methods of public speech to the academic speech. The study about Ivanka’s speech is mainly from two aspects:(1) the influence of emotional information in language on language learning, including emotional words, sentences, and speeches;(2) the influence of external emotional background on language learning, including the emotional intonation, speech rhythm, and context. What’s more, the author spends one year in studying the effect of applying the public speech methods on children language learning. Although the main specialized journals are nationwide read and the published proje...The aim of this work is to illuminate how the architectural publication in Brazil is influenced by the location of its economic poles. Although the main specialized journals are nationwide read and the published projects are frequently used as design references by students at architecture schools all over Brazil, it appears to be a favor for those projects located at the southeast region. In order to investigate this initial assumption, we selected two of the most influential architectural journals, A U and Project Design magazines, focusing on visitable projects that are, therefore, capable of offering an experience for learning about architectural project. The analysis covered three years of publications in which four states in Brazil were distinguished: Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and Federal District. The collected data show that the published visitable projects coincide with the economic poles around centered cities in Brazil, as well as the location of architecture schools and specialized media, becomes evident; not only because of the greater number of projects in the Sao Paulo area, but mainly because most of the published projects are located in the capitals of the analyzed poles.展开更多

Therefore, it is necessary to carry out deep research and practice for the public dance education in China' s colleges and universities, and this plays an important role in promoting the development of general colleges and universities' quality education for students, advancing the further development of the current genera/colleges and universities' public dance education, and enriching the existing public art education theories. There are many problems such as unclear teaching goals in the existing public art course teaching model, non-systematic and non-scientific teaching contents, simple teaching forms, and simple teaching methods in the general colleges and universities, so it is urgent to explore new teaching models. The purpose of this paper is to build a three-dimensional public dance teaching network from both forms and contents. Public dance course is a selective course, which is established for training the high-quality personnel demanded by the modernized construction of socialism, and plays an irreplaceable role in improving the aesthetic quality, cultivating the innovative spirit and practice ability, and shaping a healthy personality. On this basis, the current situation of the public dance teaching in general colleges and universities is investigated by taking the public dance teaching in Guangxi Normal University as an example and using the methods such as document literature, questionnaire survey, and interview, and the specific situation of the dance teaching in general colleges and universities is analyzed, and also corresponding strategies and suggestions are proposed.

This pa<span>per briefly explains the main concepts considering Aviation English and </span>pre</span><span style="font-family:"">- </span><span style="font-family:"">sents—based on previous researches—aircraft maintenance professionals’</span><span style="font-family:""> needs and regulatory agencies’ requirements related to language proficiency. Afterwards, it summarizes information about the most important technical publications for aircraft maintenance and describes the compilation of the Corpus of documents related to aviation maintenance (CoDoRAM). At the end, some ways the corpus can be used to teach vocabulary and grammar in English are pointed out. Although corpus compilation and analysis have been proved to be valuable for research and instructional purposes, most of publications en<span>compass English for academic purposes teaching context.
