Research on Emergency Design and Renewal Strategy of Public Space in Old Communities Based on Public Health Emergencies:A Case Study of No.4 Courtyard of Luochengtou Community, Handan City

There are a large number of old communities in Chinese cities that urgently need to be updated and upgraded.However,the old community renewal in the past mostly focused on the transformation of physical environment with a single goal.There is a lack of in-depth thinking about the problems presented by the public space in the old communities,and it is necessary to focus on this.The continuous occurrence of public health incidents has increased the pressure on urban development,and old communities have become shortcomings in such incidents.It is a topic worthy to study whether the emergency design update of public spaces can supplement the shortcomings of old communities in public health emergencies.Based on the background of public health emergencies,combined with the theory of resilient cities,the study analyzes the emergency design of public space in the old communities and conducts a research on the renewal strategy,taking the No.4 Courtyard of Luochengtou Community in Handan City as an example.The improvement strategies of management,transportation,structure and space are specifically put forward,in order to provide reference for the emergency design update of old communities.

Revitalization Design of Public Spaces in Old Residential Communities: a Case Study of Qingshanhu Community in Nanchang City

Public space is an important part of a dty and also a crucial carrier for public activities. During the urban development, the overall environmental quality of old residential communities has degraded gradually for the lack of maintenance and upgrading, its public spaces have failed to satisfy routine needs of residents. To remodel the vitality of public spaces in old residential communities, this paper based on the field investigation of Qingshanhu Community in Nanchang City explored the thoughts of revitalizing public spaces in old residential communities from the aspects of society and material environment, and put forward the strategies of designing vitality of public spaces in old residential communities.

Spatial Optimization and Reconstruction of Old Communities under the Background of Aging

As aging becomes increasingly serious,how to make the life of the elderly more convenient and comfortable has become one of the social problems to be solved urgently.Old residential areas are one of spaces where the elderly gather.In this paper,the prominent problems in the community space of existing old residential areas that are not conducive to the life of the elderly were analyzed,and corresponding countermeasures to transform the community space were put forward.It is hoped that public space can play its due value and make old residential areas glow with new vitality.

Analysis on the Status Quo of the Public Space in Dashiyuan Community in Nanchang City and Its Renewal Strategies from Multiple Perspectives

From the perspective of big data such as Baidu heat map and GIS kernel density analysis,this paper analyzed the gathering situation of residents of Dashiyuan at different times and the use of public service facilities,as well as problems existing in the old community of Dashiyuan in Nanchang City,and put forward targeted recommendations.

Toward a Child-Friendly Community:Analytical Framework,Typical Cases,and Strategies

Building a child-friendly community is becoming an important part of the overall blueprint of China’s urban renewal and community development.As the 14 th Five-Year Plan(2021-2025)puts forward goals and content friendly to children for the first time,the corresponding theoretical research should be done in time.This research applies the analytical framework of"public spaces-neighborhood relations"and summarizes four types of childfriendly communities:participation for exploration,gathering for communication,spatial absorption,and disassociation.Four communities in the H District of T City are used as typical cases to present the status quo and characteristics of each type.The three major strategies for building a child-friendly community in the future include adding or transforming emotional community infrastructure for children,providing extensive community cultural supplies for children’s gamified participation,and proactively promoting organizational coordination and institutional guarantee for community development.

The Phenomenon of Near-home Office and the Supported Space:Evidence from Shenzhen’s Employees

At present,working near home has gradually become prominent.This paper uses a fieldwork approach to investigate the characteristics and motivations of near-home office,and introduce and evaluates the support of near-home office space in Shenzhen.Commonly,the near-home office workers have three behavioral characteristics;Activating in the community;Working flexibly;and Blending life with work.With the development of the office concept and mobile information technology,more people choose and prefer near-home office,especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.The near-home office space provides working environment and services;however,the near-home office space needs to be improved.This study indicates that near-home office may play an important role in the future,therefore more studies are required in the future focusing on this aspect.

Evaluation Index System of Green Public Open Space Based on Internet of Things and Mental Health

With the emergence of the loT era,wireless sensor networks will be more and more widely used.In addition to collecting,transmitting and processing simple data such as humidity,temperature and density of the dome,they can also provide multimedia information services such as video and images.It enables more comprehensive and accurate environmental monitoring.Therefore,MSDs have a huge demand in military,daily,forestry,biomedicine and other fields.The intensive city model has obvious advantages in meeting people's diverse needs and comfortable life.Most obviously,it speeds up the rhythm of life for residents,thereby increasing efficiency and saving time.Starting from this aspect,this paper conducts a research on the evaluation index system of public built on the following areas of open space loT and mental health.In this paper,the GRNN neural network model is constructed,the mean condition is calculated,the density function can be estimated,the network output,and the schematic diagram of the generalized regression neural network is improved.Using the established system,the index in 2018 is selected as the base year,and after transformation,the standardized values of the past years are formed,which are substituted into the cells to form different matrices.The value of each cell is counted to obtain the subsystem coordination degree,and the global coordination degree is obtained through calculation.The evaluation results of ecological civilization construction and development in 2018 and 2019,2020 and 2021 were compared.The experimental data shows that compared with 2018,economic development will change from 1 to 2.000,social harmony will change from 1 to 2.480,ecological health will decrease to 0.850,environmental friendliness will decrease to 0.750,and comprehensive evaluation will decrease to 0.513.This shows that while the economy is developing this year,the construction of ecological civilization has been gradually carried out,and good results have been achieved.This reflects the effectiveness of the system.The subject of the evaluation index system of green public open space based on the Internet of Things and mental health has been well completed.

Evaluation of Community Plan Implementation from the Perspective of Public Space: An Empirical Study on the Case of Caoyang-Xincun in Shanghai

Based on related theories on the evaluation of city plan implementation and the empirical study on Caoyang-Xincun, a residential quarter in Shanghai, the paper explores the community plan implementation from the perspective of public space. And with the differences and conformities between the plan's blueprint and the reality as the breakthrough point, the paper points out that in terms of differences, the implementation of the Caoyang-Xincun plan has neglected the construction of public space, which influenced the general quality of public life of the residents, while in terms of conformities, the implementation of the plan has produced a positive impact on current public life in the community.

Regenerating Communal Place and Housing Rehabilitation:The Building of a Community Public Space in Beijing's Former Socialistic Public Housing Area

The rehabilitation of former socialistic public housing areas is one of the most important challenges to Chinese cities nowadays.In Beijing Chaoyang District,a pilot project for housing rehabilitation has been implemented recently by rebuilding community public space in a former socialistic public housing community.As a small-scale and bottom-up initiative,the project introduced the innovative measures,including resident participation,human-centred design and financing of sharing,in order to regenerate communal place in old housing area.The effects of the project are positive,and the local government has accordingly promoted its successful experiences.Moreover,this latest case of the attempts also offers an opportunity for revealing and rethinking the existing challenges to the housing rehabilitation.

The public space of community is not only significant to ensure the quality of residents' daily life but also the important means to realize urban sustainability.It is necessary to bridge the gap between the physical and social development of city in order to build a harmonious and livable city.The sustainable development indicators are very useful tools.The design of the indicators involves the site investigation,and selection and modification of indicators.It can provide guidance to related plans by making scientific decision on the core target of the public space development of community.

Landscape Planning Design of the Nancheng River in Xiping County, Henan Province

Taking the Nancheng River in Xiping County for example, this paper focused on history and landscape features of the moat, applied natural eco-designs, explored the design of natural eco-waterfront landscapes and also the organization of moat landscape sequence, highlighted the conception of landscape nodes, and tried to represent water culture of the moat and also folk customs formed on the basis of city cultures and spatial resources.

上海安亭新镇经验:规划结构中的文化和空间适应与转化

this paper we study planned and unplanned adjustment processes in master-planned communities and new towns by a first wave of residents,in which changes in lifestyles play a central role.How can unplanned transitions be stimulated and play a role in making a new town more attractive,sustainable,adjustable,and fexible in use?We apply this to the case of Anting New Town in Shanghai.We focus on both personal and collective adjustments and appropriation in housing,commercial,as well as public space.We explore methods of doing visual research by observation,in line with methods by Venturi and Boudon.By adding economic and socio-cultural drivers and institutional frameworks,which allow these alterations to happen,conclusions are made about the possible sustainability,adjustability,and flexibility of these planned structures.We analyze adjustments from different perspectives on the themes of urbanity and identity:architectural-morphological,②functional-economical,and socio-cultural.Following different approaches to studying the planned and unplanned city,we explain how the urbanity and identity of Anting have changed in various ways.Appropriation of building structures and urban spaces is a key element in this process of change.It is the outcome of a wider process of economicand socio-culturalchange.

Promoting Functional Upgrading Through Spatial Renovation: An Exploration on the Design Methods of Old Community Renewal

As urban renewal shifts to more routine community renewal, the design methods of community renewal are faced with new challenges. Considering the existing dilemma faced by old communities and based on the practice of community renewal of different scales in recent years, this paper proposes that the design for community renewal should consider not only the spatial structure of communities at the macro level, but also the needs of daily life at the micro level. It can help efficiently transform the existing space into public space that encourages residents’ participation and promote community vitality, to achieve a humanistic value beyond the physical environment.

An Experience Inspired by the Evolution of Community Gardens in New York City

In many highly dense urban environments,the urgent needs of residents for increasing green space,improving the quality of the community environment and reconstructing the relationships among residents have given birth to the new space type of community gardens.However,China still lacks this relevant experience.In contrast,New York City’s community gardens had a relatively early start,and they now have rich experience in space construction,operation and maintenance.Given their level of experience,they can be used as references for the development of community gardens in China.This paper adopts a bibliometric research method,identifies 201 periodical literature sources published between 2000 and 2020 from the core library of the Web of Science as the object of study,and finally assesses the research hotspot for transferring from macro-research to space-type construction method,social impact,and so on,through CiteSpace software analysis.By virtue of the research process analysis and the results of field surveys and interviews,this paper probes the development status of space construction and social organization construction of the community gardens in New York City,and summarizes that area’s effective experience of development.Based on the current development situation of China’s community gardens,it is proposed that the development of community gardens should be directed by ensuring the land for development,giving full play to social benefits,and mobilizing social organizations,so as to effectively realize urban space construction and social governance.

A Study on Planning Strategies for Urban Housing Block Development

As a city is the carrier of human society and housing is an important part of a citizen's life and survival, the citizens' choice of their housing mode will inf luence the material and spiritual life of the individuals, families, and society. In view of the diversification of values and investments, people are eager for a harmonious relationship between the community and the city. As a kind of compact and efficient housing mode, the housing block highlights the organic link of the community within the city in an open and shared living environment. This paper reviews the development of housing blocks in various countries and summarizes the characteristics of housing blocks through a comparison with traditional gated residential quarters and urban blocks. It then analyzes the current diffi culties of housing block development in China from aspects such as the planning concept, planning system, management mode, and development mode and accordingly proposes planning principles and strategies in hope of providing theoretical supports for the development and construction of housing blocks in China.
