The circuit configuration is constituted of input cycloconverter, high frequency transformer, output cycloconverter, input and output filters. The circuit topologic family includes eight circuit topologies, such as full-bridge-full-wave mode, etc. The bi-polarity phase-shifted control strategy and steady principles are thoroughly investigated. The output characteristics are obtained. By using the bi-polarity phase-shifted control strategy with phase-shifted control between the output cycloconveter and the input cycloconverter, commutation overlap period of the output cycloconverter, and polarity selection of the output filtering inductance current and the input voltage, the leakage inductance energy and the output filtering inductance current are naturally commutated, and surge voltage and surge current of the cycloconverters are overcome. The converters have such advantages as simple topology, two-stage power conversions(LFAC/HFAC/LFAC), bi-directional power flow, high frequency electrical isolation, good output waveforms, and strong ability to stabilize voltage. The converters lay key technical foundation on a new-type of regulated sinusoidal AC power supplies and electronic transformers. The correction and advancement of the converters are well verified by a principle test.展开更多

Due to the wide-range of input voltage, the variable output voltage of auxiliary winding will cause a series of problems, such as variable drive pulse amplitude, increased driver switching devices loss and drive transformer core saturation. This paper analyzes the influence of variable output voltage of auxiliary winding in detail. A novel method is proposed to solve the problem of large variation range of auxiliary winding output voltage, which is adding a buck converter between the auxiliary winding and the control circuit. A dual switch forward convert has been designed with 300 V - 800 V input and 24 V/5 A output. The results show that this method is effective by comparing the different results of using buck converter or not.展开更多

The main advantage of the proposed analysis is that even though the transfer function model of a PWM push-pull DC-DC converter is perturbed, the complete analysis has been done on a linear transfer function model of a PWM push-pull DC-DC converter. The proposed analysis is verified using MATLAB simulation. This analysis will be very much useful to power electronics engineers, since the technique is very simple and computationally efficient and easily applicable in precise applications such as aerospace applications.展开更多

This study aims at solving the problem whereby the precision of CD pipelined ADCs is restricted by the variation in input CM charge, which can compensate for CM charge errors caused by a variation in CM charge input in real time. Based on the feed-forward CM charge control circuit, a 12-bit 250-MS/s CD pipelined ADC is designed and realized using a 1P6M 0.18-μm CMOS process. The ADC achieved a Spurious Free Dynamic Range (SFDR) of 78.1 dB and a Signal-to-Noise-and-Distortion Ratio (SNDR) of 64.6 dB for a 20.1-MHz input; a SFDR of 74.9 dB and SNDR of 62.0 dB were achieved for a 239.9-MHz input at full sampling rate. The variation in signal-to-noise ratio was less than 3 dB over a 0-1.2 V input CM voltage range. The power consumption of the prototype ADC is only 85 mW at 1.8 V supply, and it occupies an active die area of 2.24 mm^2.展开更多
