Implications of The Gift of the Magi for Moral Education of Teenagers From the Perspective of Interaction Ritual Chains

Adolescence is a pivotal moment in shaping one’s character and holds great implications for one’s values and personal growth.The Gift of the Magi by O.Henry portrays how an ordinary young couple in difficult financial circumstances managed to show their love for each other,eulogizing truth,goodness,and beauty in humanity.We conducted a thorough examination of the significance of moral values conveyed in The Gift of the Magi for teenager education using the“situation-emotion-symbol”model that is based on Randall Collins’theory of interaction ritual chains in order to establish an interaction ritual chain model for moral education of teenagers.Our study reveals that situated cognition is useful in constructing the focus of attention for the moral education of teenagers;that shared emotion is the driving force for achieving moral education of teenagers;and that symbolic connections help teenagers put the virtues they’ve learned from The Gift of the Magi into action and provides effective measures that can significantly contribute to the cultivation and implementation of moral education among teenagers.

Management of College Students under the Ideaof Morality Education

Morality education is not only the foundation of education, but also the foundation of life, colleges and universities should keeppace with the times, innovate the concept of education, and integrate the concept of morality education into the management andideological and political education of colleges and universities. Based on this, in order to provide data support for this study, aquestionnaire survey was adopted to sample the teachers and students of Sichuan University to understand the current situation ofthe concept of "morality education" in colleges and universities, and the importance of the concept of "morality education" in themanagement of college students and the difficulties it faces were expounded, then pertinent suggestions were put forward for thecurrent problems. Implementing the concept of "morality education" in the management of colleges and universities caneffectively improve the quality of students, and guide students to establish correct political beliefs and promote their all-rounddevelopment.

Constructing a Scientific and Multidimensional Quality Evaluation Mechanism for Ideological and Political Education in Colleges and Universities

The construction of curriculum ideological and political education mechanism in colleges and universities in China has begun to take effect.In view of the differences in the key points of different colleges and universities in the construction of curriculum ideological and political education mechanism,the quality evaluation of curriculum ideological and political education mechanism is particularly important.However,the quality evaluation mechanism is related to ability,fairness,and potential.It is essential to assume the effectiveness of moral education in college curriculum ideological and political education as the benchmark,adhere to positioning experts,teachers,and students as the key elements of the main body of the evaluation mechanism,as well as establish a diversified quality evaluation standard system based on the teaching management,infrastructure,and moral education effectiveness.Building a scientific and multi-dimensional quality evaluation mechanism for ideological and political education in colleges and universities would promote the connotative development of ideological and political education in courses.

Lifestyle Changes in Diet and Physical Activities after Group Education for Type 2 Diabetes—The Active Ingredient in the Education. A Qualitative Study

Background: Diabetes self-management education (DSME) for patients with type 2 diabetes requires efficient teaching methods that make patients want to change lifestyle in terms of their diabetes. The study looks at what may be the active ingredient in this DSME. Objective: To explore how participants in DSME, with an interactive learning method, experienced changes in relation to diet and physical activity. Method: We studied possible changes in diet and physical activity by semi-structured individual interviews of 16 participants attending DSME. Results: Before the DSME, the participants felt insecure about what to eat, and they expressed little interest in changing their physical activity. Just after the DSME, they were more optimistic about diet because they had learned how to interpret food labels and compose their meals. Furthermore, they had experienced the benefit of physical activity in relation to their blood glucose levels. Behavior changes appeared to persist the following half year. We discuss the findings in light of the principles of interactive learning. The participants experienced an effect of their behavior changes, and blood glucose measurement was used as a tool to gain control and reach a state of well-being. Conclusion: From being insecure about what to eat, the patients acquired knowledge to handle their diet through the DSME. They learned how to compose their meals and use physical activity to regulate their blood glucose. We suggest that the interactive learning used in the DSME was an active ingredient that led to changes in behavior and should be considered as an educational method in DSME for patient with type 2 diabetes.

立德树人视角下课程设置对大学生德育素养的影响研究--以经济学专业为例

人才是第一资源,经济学人才更是推动产业结构优化升级,提升国家整体竞争力,实现经济高质量发展的重要引擎。因而,培养具备较高德育素养的经济学人才是高等教育的重要目标。良好的培养模式是提升经济学人才德育素养的主要推力,其中,课程设置是培养模式的核心组成部分,该文在立德树人视角下,使用问卷调查数据,实证检验课程设置对经济学专业人才的德育素养影响。研究结果表明,课程设置对高校学生德育培养具有显著促进作用,其中课程设置对学生创新能力的影响最大。高校应不断更新优化课程设置,包括增加实践性课程的比重,加强学生综合素质教育以培养创新思维和实践能力,提供多种形式的实践机会等方面提升经济学专业人才的德育素养。

新医科背景下中药药理学课程思政的探讨

中药药理学是中医药类院校的一门重要的专业必修课。主要内容包括对中药功效、有效成分、药理作用、作用机制及病理模型的造模方法,其中涉及的主要思政元素包括中医药文化、药食同源、实验动物伦理学等相关内容,这为中药药理学课程思政的融入提供了有效的载体。为实现立德树人的根本任务,本文以新医科为背景,通过对相关政策文件的解读及相关的教学案例和教学方法的应用,在中药药理学的教学设计中融入思政元素,通过与学生谈心及对学生发放调查问卷等形式了解课程思政的效果,结果表明,在课堂中融入相关的思政元素,不仅能够提高学生学习的积极性,同时对他们树立正确的价值观、人生观、生命观及对中医药文化的热爱具有重要的帮助。

新文科背景下,课程思政融于高校外语金课建设体现了外语专业内涵建设的方向。外语金课在课程思政指引下获得方向性引导和理论支撑,有利于提升金课教学水平;课程思政以外语金课建设为依托,将德育目标贯穿教学全过程,有利于提高人才培养质量。基于新文科教育指导下某地方高校外语金课建设的实践,分析课程思政与外语金课建设的联动效应,并探索课程思政融入外语金课建设的有效路径,指出新文科教育推动了外语金课与课程思政的融合,对构建中国特色的外语课程话语体系起到了重要推动作用。

研究生导师基本素质与落实立德树人职责的关系探析——基于研究生感知视角

目的:探讨导师对立德树人重视程度及其基本素质与落实立德树人职责之间的关系。方法:选取各专业各年级的研究生进行问卷调查,采用Pearson相关系数对统计数据进行分析。结果:研究生导师对立德树人职责的重视程度与其基本素质与落实立德树人职责之间存在密切的正相关关系,各项指标表现出显著性差异。结论:应进一步增强导师的思政教育意识,加强师德师风建设,并提升导师的业务能力素质。

基于成果导向教育理念的医学微生物学课程思政教学模式的设计与实践

医学微生物学是医学专业核心课程,理论性和实践性较强,课程内容蕴含丰富的思政元素,许多知识点具有德育的价值和潜力。依据课程所支撑的毕业要求,结合学情反馈,引入成果导向教育(outcome-based education,OBE)理念,从“基于学习产出,设定教学目标;改革教学策略,实现学习产出;评估学习产出,促进持续改进”三方面调整课程思政教学改革的思路,形成“教学设计-教学实施-成绩考核-教学评价-持续改进”闭环运行的课程思政质量保障体系。教学成效的评估结果显示,学生对教学内容、方法及考核方式的满意度均超过85%,说明未来可将此教学模式延伸到其他专业课程的教学改革中,从而拓展为“专业课程思政群”,提高课程思政的普适性。

高职院校教育质量内部交互影响机制研究——基于S学院CCSS调查数据的中介效应分析

基于S学院CCSS调查的3177个样本数据,通过效度检验、模型拟合度检验、路径分析、中介效应检验等,验证包括学生动机、课程学习投入、向学/厌学的学生因素,支持性校园环境、课程质量的院校因素,以及生师互动、生生互动、学生权力三个中介变量对教育质量的影响程度及作用机制。研究结果表明:高职院校教育质量受到内部多重因素交互作用及影响;生师互动对教育质量的中介影响呈现类型化差异;教育收获和就业力对生生互动影响最为敏感;教育质量受学生权力中介效应影响不容忽视。
