Exploration of Diversified Talent Training and Collaborative Innovation Models from the Perspective of Scientific Research Team Construction and Collaborative Management Mechanism in Applied Undergraduate Universities

This study is dedicated to exploring the role of scientific research team construction and collaborative management mechanisms in applied undergraduate universities in promoting diversified talent training and collaborative innovation models.By forming an interdisciplinary scientific research team and recording in detail the team’s performance,problems encountered,and solutions during the collaborative innovation process,the study found that interdisciplinary team construction significantly improved scientific research timeliness,which was 29.33%higher than that of traditional single-disciplinary teams.Therefore,the construction of interdisciplinary scientific research teams and collaborative management mechanisms are effective ways for applied undergraduate universities to promote diversified talent training and collaborative innovation.

In the world of science, recognition of scientific performance is strongly correlated with publication visibility and interest generated among other researchers, which is evident by downloads and citations. A published paper’s number of downloads and citations are the best indices of its importance and are useful measures of the researchers’ performance. However, the published paper should be valuated and indexed independently, and the prestige of the journal in which it is published should not influence the value of the paper itself. By participating in and presenting at congresses and international meetings, scientists strongly increase the visibility of their results and recognition of their research;this also promotes their publications. Status in Research Gate (RG), the so-called RG Score, the Percentile, and the h-index give researchers feedback about their performance, or their place and prestige within the scientific community. RG has become an excellent tool for disseminating scientific results and connecting researchers worldwide. RG also allows researchers to present achievements other than publications (e.g., membership in recognized associations such as the American Chemist Society, a biography in Marquis Who’s Who in the World, awards received, and/or ongoing projects). This paper discusses questions regarding how the RG Score, Percentile, and h-index are calculated, whether these methods are correct, and alternative criteria. RG also lists papers with falsified results and the journals that publish them. Thus, it may be appropriate to reduce the indices for such journals, authors, and the institutions with which these authors are affiliated.

Management System Activities of the Operation and Utilization of GHARR-1

The Ghana Research Reactor-1 (GHARR-1) is a 34 kW low enriched uranium (LEU) Miniature Neutron Source Reactor (MNSR), tank-in-pool type and cooled by natural circulation under atmospheric pressure operating conditions. GHARR-1 is owned by Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC) and operated by National Nuclear Research Institute (NNRI), one of the institutes of GAEC. GHARR-1 is housed by Nuclear Reactors Research Centre (NRRC), one of the Centres of NNRI. Management/Administration, Radiation protection, Reactor operation and maintenance, Reactor utilization and Physical protection are the various systems/units that integrate to manage the activities of operation and utilization of GHARR-1 in addition to the quality assurance and quality control management system of the research reactor facility. The GHARR-1 which is currently in operation follows a robust maintenance culture adopted by the management system and this has made it possible to keep the reactor in operation with minimal interruption. The management system activities adopted at the Centre to ensure safety of the workers, public and the research reactor facility include authorization of the operation of the reactor for any experiments/modifications;providing material and financial resources for maintaining the research reactor facility;following standard procedures while carrying out Neutron Activation Analysis;participation in IAEA proficiency test;irradiation sites/positions characterization;following standard procedures while carrying out reactor operation and maintenance including reactor and pool water purification and other related activities;monitoring radiation levels in the controlled, supervised and uncontrolled areas of the research reactor facility as well as during reactor operation and maintenance;controlling the physical entry of the workers and public into the research reactor facility;and ensuring that the security structures provided to protect the reactor facility are functioning properly. The thorough knowledge on the functions of the various components that make up the electrical/electronic and control systems of the reactor has been observed to be important for continuous successful maintenance of the research reactor to keep the reactor in operation. This work provides some management system activities adopted to monitor the activities of the research reactor operation and utilization to guarantee safety of workers, public and the environment as well as to safeguard a continuous operation of the research reactor. These management system activities adopted among others, are in the form of Monitoring Forms provided for monitoring the activities of the research reactor operation and utilization in order to ensure standard procedures and specifications are followed and quality services are rendered to the public.

This article attempts to apply the strategic management theory to the subsequent shaping up of a readjusted strategic development policy for Shanghai Library after its merger with the Institute of Scientific and Technological Information of Shanghai(ISTIS)in 1995.It also tries to analyze and explicate such an empirical implementation of institutional reintegration process through strategic management at Shanghai Metropolitan Library.By doing so,it aims to present an objective case study of activities based on the strategic management paradigm at a major Chinese metropolitan public library.

Application of PDCA Cycle Management in Outpatient Blood Collection Room Management

Objective:To explore the application and effectiveness of PDCA cycle management in outpatient blood collection room management.Methods:A total of 80 patients in the outpatient blood collection room of the hospital from June 2023 to June 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 40 patients in each group.The control group implemented conventional nursing management,while the observation group implemented PDCA cycle management on top of routine care.Blood collection outcomes,the incidence of disputes,adverse reactions,blood collection waiting times,nursing quality,and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results:The observation group showed significantly better blood collection outcomes compared to the control group,with a higher success rate of venipuncture(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was notably lower than in the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the observation group exhibited shorter blood collection waiting times,higher nursing quality scores,and greater patient satisfaction,with all differences showing high statistical significance(P<0.001).Conclusion:The application of PDCA cycle management in the outpatient blood collection room demonstrated remarkable effectiveness.By leveraging the cycle of planning,execution,checking,and action,it optimized blood collection processes,improved efficiency and service quality,and enhanced patient satisfaction,making it highly worthy of clinical promotion and application.
