However, the downlink broadcast exposes the physical layer vulnerable to the threat of illegal eavesdropping. Quantum noise stream cipher(QNSC) is a classic physical layer encryption method and well compatible with the OFDM-PON. Meanwhile, it is indispensable to exploit forward error correction(FEC) to control errors in data transmission. However, when QNSC and FEC are jointly coded, the redundant information becomes heavier and thus the code rate of the transmitted signal will be largely reduced. In this work, we propose a physical layer encryption scheme based on polar-code-assisted QNSC. In order to improve the code rate and security of the transmitted signal, we exploit chaotic sequences to yield the redundant bits and utilize the redundant information of the polar code to generate the higher-order encrypted signal in the QNSC scheme with the operation of the interleaver. We experimentally demonstrate the encrypted 16/64-QAM, 16/256-QAM, 16/1024-QAM, 16/4096-QAM QNSC signals transmitted over 30-km standard single mode fiber. For the transmitted 16/4096-QAM QNSC signal, compared with the conventional QNSC method, the proposed method increases the code rate from 0.1 to 0.32 with enhanced security.展开更多

We combined N-doped graphene quantum dots (N-GQDs), morphology regulation, and heterojunction construction strategies to synthesize N-GQD/N-doped TiO_(2)/P-doped porous hollow g-C_(3)N_(4) nanotube (PCN) composite photocatalysts (denoted as G-TPCN). The optimal sample (G-TPCN doped with 0.1wt% N-GQD, denoted as 0.1% G-TPCN) exhibits significantly enhanced photoabsorption, which is attributed to the change in bandgap caused by elemental doping (P and N), the improved light-harvesting resulting from the tube structure, and the upconversion effect of N-GQDs. In addition, the internal charge separation and transfer capability of0.1% G-TPCN are dramatically boosted, and its carrier concentration is 3.7, 2.3, and 1.9 times that of N-TiO_(2), PCN, and N-TiO_(2)/PCN(TPCN-1), respectively. This phenomenon is attributed to the formation of Z-scheme heterojunction between N-TiO_(2) and PCNs, the excellent electron conduction ability of N-GQDs, and the short transfer distance caused by the porous nanotube structure. Compared with those of N-TiO_(2), PCNs, and TPCN-1, the H2 production activity of 0.1%G-TPCN under visible light is enhanced by 12.4, 2.3, and 1.4times, respectively, and its ciprofloxacin (CIP) degradation rate is increased by 7.9, 5.7, and 2.9 times, respectively. The optimized performance benefits from excellent photoresponsiveness and improved carrier separation and migration efficiencies. Finally, the photocatalytic mechanism of 0.1% G-TPCN and five possible degradation pathways of CIP are proposed. This study clarifies the mechanism of multiple modification strategies to synergistically improve the photocatalytic performance of 0.1% G-TPCN and provides a potential strategy for rationally designing novel photocatalysts for environmental remediation and solar energy conversion.展开更多

However, the fidelity and visibility of the readout process are sensitive to the choice of the thresholds and limited by the experimental hardware. By demonstrating the linear dependence between the measured spin state probabilities and readout visibilities along with dark counts, we describe an alternative threshold-independent method for the single-shot readout of spin qubits in semiconductor quantum dots. We can obtain the extrapolated spin state probabilities of the prepared probabilities of the excited spin state through the threshold-independent method. 文摘The Internet of Things(IoT)is a network system that connects physical devices through the Internet, allowing them to interact.Nowadays,IoT has become an integral part of our lives, offering convenience and smart functionality. However, the growing number of IoT devices has brought about a corresponding increase in cybersecurity threats, such as device vulnerabilities, data privacy concerns, and network susceptibilities.Integrating blockchain technology with IoT has proven to be a promising approach to enhance IoT security.Nevertheless, the emergence of quantum computing poses a significant challenge to the security of traditional classical cryptography used in blockchain, potentially exposing it to quantum cyber-attacks.To support the growth of the IoT industry, mitigate quantum threats, and safeguard IoT data, this study proposes a robust blockchain solution for IoT that incorporates both classical and post-quantum security measures.Firstly,we present the Quantum-Enhanced Blockchain Architecture for IoT(QBIoT)to ensure secure data sharing and integrity protection.Secondly,we propose an improved Proof of Authority consensus algorithm called“Proof of Authority with Random Election”(PoARE),implemented within QBIoT for leader selection and new block creation.Thirdly,we develop a publickey quantum signature protocol for transaction verification in the blockchain. Finally,a comprehensive security analysis of QBIoT demonstrates its resilience against cyber threats from both classical and quantum adversaries. In summary, this research introduces an innovative quantum-enhanced blockchain solution to address quantum security concernswithin the realmof IoT.The proposedQBIoT framework contributes to the ongoing development of quantum blockchain technology and offers valuable insights for future research on IoT security.

文摘We theoretically investigate coherent scattering of single photons and quantum entanglement of two giant atoms with azimuthal angle differences in a waveguide system.Using the real-space Hamiltonian, analytical expressions are derived for the transport spectra scattered by these two giant atoms with four azimuthal angles.Fano-like resonance can be exhibited in the scattering spectra by adjusting the azimuthal angle difference.High concurrence of the entangled state for two atoms can be implemented in a wide angle-difference range, and the entanglement of the atomic states can be switched on/off by modulating the additional azimuthal angle differences from the giant atoms. This suggests a novel handle to effectively control the single-photon scattering and quantum entanglement.

文摘The historical significance of the Stern–Gerlach(SG)experiment lies in its provision of the initial evidence for space quantization.Over time, its sequential form has evolved into an elegant paradigm that effectively illustrates the fundamental principles of quantum theory. To date, the practical implementation of the sequential SG experiment has not been fully achieved. In this study,we demonstrate the capability of programmable quantum processors to simulate the sequential SG experiment. The specific parametric shallow quantum circuits, which are suitable for the limitations of current noisy quantum hardware, are given to replicate the functionality of SG devices with the ability to perform measurements in different directions.Surprisingly,it has been demonstrated that Wigner’s SG interferometer can be readily implemented in our sequential quantum circuit. With the utilization of the identical circuits,it is also feasible to implement Wheeler’s delayed-choice experiment. We propose the utilization of cross-shaped programmable quantum processors to showcase sequential experiments, and the simulation results demonstrate a strong alignment with theoretical predictions. With the rapid advancement of cloud-based quantum computing, such as BAQIS Quafu,it is our belief that the proposed solution is well-suited for deployment on the cloud, allowing for public accessibility. Our findings not only expand the potential applications of quantum computers, but also contribute to a deeper comprehension of the fundamental principles underlying quantum theory.

文摘Quantum confinement is recognized to be an inherent property in low-dimensional structures.Traditionally,it is believed that the carriers trapped within the well cannot escape due to the discrete energy levels. However, our previous research has revealed efficient carrier escape in low-dimensional structures, contradicting this conventional understanding. In this study,we review the energy band structure of quantum wells along the growth direction considering it as a superposition of the bulk material dispersion and quantization energy dispersion resulting from the quantum confinement across the whole Brillouin zone.By accounting for all wave vectors,we obtain a certain distribution of carrier energy at each quantized energy level, giving rise to the energy subbands. These results enable carriers to escape from the well under the influence of an electric field.Additionally,we have compiled a comprehensive summary of various energy band scenarios in quantum well structures relevant to carrier transport.Such a new interpretation holds significant value in deepening our comprehension of low-dimensional energy bands, discovering new physical phenomena, and designing novel devices with superior performance.

文摘Quantum computers accelerate many algorithms based on the superposition principle of quantum mechanics. The Grover algorithm provides significant performance to malicious users attacking symmetric key systems.Since the performance of attacks using quantum computers depends on the efficiency of the quantum circuit of the encryption algorithms, research research on the implementation of quantum circuits is essential. This paper presents a new framework to construct quantum circuits of substitution boxes(S-boxes)using system modeling. We model the quantum circuits of S-boxes using two layers:Toffoli and linear layers. We generate vector spaces based on the values of qubits used in the linear layers and apply them to find quantum circuits. The framework finds the circuit bymatching elements of vector spaces generated fromthe input and output of a given S-box,using the forward search or themeet-in-the-middle strategy. We developed a tool to apply this framework to 4-bit S-boxes.While the 4-bit S-box quantum circuit construction tool LIGHTER-R only finds circuits that can be implemented with four qubits, the proposed tool achieves the circuits with five qubits. The proposed tool can find quantum circuits of 4-bit odd permutations based on the controlled NOT,NOT,and Toffoli gates, whereas LIGHTER-R is unable to perform this task in the same environment. We expect this technique to become a critical step toward optimizing S-box quantum circuits.
文摘Quantum Fisher information is used to witness the quantum phase transition in a non-Hermitian trapped ion system with balanced gain and loss, from the viewpoint of quantum parameter estimation. We formulate a general non-unitary dynamic of any two-level non-Hermitian system in the form of state vector. The sudden change in the dynamics of quantum Fisher information occurs at an exceptional point characterizing quantum criticality. The dynamical behaviors of quantum Fisher information are classified into two different ways which depends on whether the system is located in symmetry unbroken or broken phase regimes. In the phase regime where parity and time reversal symmetry are unbroken, the oscillatory evolution of quantum Fisher information is presented, achieving better quantum measurement precision. In the broken phase regime, quantum Fisher information undergoes the monotonically decreasing behavior. The maximum value of quantum estimation precision is obtained at the exceptional point. It is found that the two distinct kinds of behaviors can be verified by quantum entropy and coherence.Utilizing quantum Fisher information to witness phase transition in the non-Hermitian system is emphasized. The results may have potential applications to non-Hermitian quantum information technology.

文摘Quantum enhanced metrology has the potential to go beyond the standard quantum limit and eventually to the ultimate Heisenberg bound. In particular, quantum probes prepared in nonclassical coherent states have recently been recognized as a useful resource for metrology.Hence, there has been considerable interest in constructing magnetic quantum sensors that combine high resolution and high sensitivity. Here,we explore a nanoscale magnetometer with quantum-enhanced sensitivity, based on 123Sb(I=7/2)nuclear spin doped in silicon, that takes advantage of techniques of spin-squeezing and coherent control. With the optimal squeezed initial state, the magnetic field sensitivity may be expected to approach 6 aT·Hz^(−1/2)·cm^(−3/2) and 603 nT·Hz^(−1/2) at the single-spin level. This magnetic sensor may provide a novel sensitive and high-resolution route to microscopic mapping of magnetic fields as well as other applications.

文摘Leveraging the extraordinary phenomena of quantum superposition and quantum correlation, quantum computing offers unprecedented potential for addressing challenges beyond the reach of classical computers. This paper tackles two pivotal challenges in the realm of quantum computing:firstly, the development of an effective encoding protocol for translating classical data into quantum states,a critical step for any quantum computation.Different encoding strategies can significantly influence quantum computer performance.Secondly,we address the need to counteract the inevitable noise that can hinder quantum acceleration. Our primary contribution is the introduction of a novel variational data encoding method, grounded in quantum regression algorithm models.By adapting the learning concept from machine learning,we render data encoding a learnable process. This allowed us to study the role of quantum correlation in data encoding.Through numerical simulations of various regression tasks,we demonstrate the efficacy of our variational data encoding, particularly post-learning from instructional data. Moreover,we delve into the role of quantum correlation in enhancing task performance, especially in noisy environments. Our findings underscore the critical role of quantum correlation in not only bolstering performance but also in mitigating noise interference, thus advancing the frontier of quantum computing.
