By using the Keldysh nonequilibrium Green function method, formulas of local density of states (LDOS) and conductance of QD are derived self-consistently. It shows that the LDOS and conductance have obvious changes with the Coulomb blockade interaction. The intensity and angle of the magnetic field or temperatures, which reflect the mesoscopic structure of the QD are derived. The superiority of this device is that the QD can be controlled easily by the magnetic field, so it is valuable to apply in generating, manipulating and probing spin state.展开更多

The analytical phonon states of IO-PR mixing modes are given. It is found that there are two types of IO-PR mixing phonon modes, i.e. p-IO//z-PR mixing modes and the z-IO//p-PR mixing modes existing in QOD wurtzite QDs. And each IO-PR mixing modes also have symmetrical and antisymmetrieal forms. Via a standard procedure of field quantization, the Frohlich Hamiltonians of electron-(IO-PR) mixing phonons interaction are obtained. Numerical calculations on a wurtzite GaN cylindrical QD are performed. The results reveal that both the radial-direction size and the axial-direction size as well as the dielectric matrix have great influence on the dispersive frequencies of the IO-PR mixing phonon modes. The limiting features of dispersive curves of these phonon modes are discussed in depth. The phonon modes "reducing" behavior of wurtzite quantum confined systems has been observed obviously in the structures. Moreover, the degenerating behaviors of the IO-PR mixing phonon modes in wurtzite QOD QDs to the IO modes and PR modes in wurtzite Q2D QW and QID QWR systems are analyzed deeply from both of the viewpoints of physics and mathematics.展开更多

An extra parameter, the distance L between the two QDs, is introduced and it plays an important role on the competition of the Kondo temperature and magnetic coupling. Three different phases are found: antiferromagnetic phase, Kondo phase with spin S = 1/2, and Kondo phase with S = 1, depending on the distance L, the magnetic properties are qualitatively different for different phases: conductance tends to the unitary value 2e2 /h; for the S : the distance. coupling, and the Kondo temperature. Quantum transport for the S = 1 Kondo and the antiferromagnetic phases, the 1/2 Kondo phase the conductance is strongly dependent onthe distance.展开更多

The calculated spectrum shows that the parity break of coupled quantum dot results in more coherent superpositions in the low-lying states and exhibits unique anti-crossing in the two-electron FIR spectrum modulated by a magnetic field. We also find that the Coulomb correlation effect can make the FIR spectrum of coupled quantum dot without strict parity deviate greatly from Kohn theorem, which is just contrary to the symmetric case. Our results therefore suggest that FIR spectrum may be used to determine the symmetry of coupled quantum dot and to evaluate the degree of Coulomb interaction.展开更多

With the increase in the oscillation frequency of the dot, the density of states of the quantum dot shuttle changes from the Kondo-like to a Coulomb-blockade pattern. Increasing the coupling between the dot and the electrodes may partly recover the Kondo peak in the spectrum of the density of states. Understanding of the effect of mechanical motion on the transport properties of an electron shuttle is important for the future application of nanoelectromechanical devices.展开更多
