The transmission is assisted by an additional qubit against collective noise. The receiver can take advantage of the time discrimination and the measurement results of the assistant qubit to reconstruct a pure entanglement with the sender. Although the scheme succeeds probabilistically, the resource used to get a pure entanglement state is finite, and so is easier to establish entanglement in practice than quantum entanglement purification.展开更多

Numerical calculations on an AIN/GaN/AIN wurtzite QWW are performed. The results reveal that the dispersions of the QC modes are quite obvious only when the free wavenumber kz in the z-direction and the azimuthal quantum number m are small. The reduced behavior of the QC modes in wurtzite quantum systems is clearly observed. Through the discussion of the electron-QC mode coupling functions,it is found that the lower-frequency QC modes in the high-frequency region play a more important role in the electron-QC phonon interactions. Moreover, our computations also prove that kz and m have a similar influence on the electron-QC phonon coupling properties.展开更多

Plateaus in the I-V curve and resonant peaks in the transmission coefficient occur and can be explained by the local electron density of states in the quantum dots. The effects of the optical pumping frequency and intensity on the transport properties of the system are also discussed. The electron dynamical localization phenomenon occurs when the optical pumping frequency is equal to the discrete hole energy level. This result can be used to realize optical control switches.展开更多

Besides, the interaction between impurity and phonons is also considered. Numerical calculations are presented for typical Zn1-xCdxSe/ZnSe material. It is found that the polaronic effect or electric field leads to the redshifted resonant peaks of the optical rectification coefficients. It is also found that the peak values of the optical rectification coefficients with the polaronic effect are larger than without the polaronic effect, especially for smaller Cd concentrations or stronger electric field.展开更多

In our calculations, we considered the effects of confined optical phonon modes, interface-optical phonon modes, and half-space phonon modes, as well as the anisotropy of the electron effective band mass, phonon frequency, and dielectric constant. Our numerical results indicate that the electron–optical phonon interactions importantly affect the polaronic energies in the ZnO/MgxZn1-xO quantum well. The electron–optical phonon interactions decrease the polaron energies. For quantum wells with narrower wells, the interface optical phonon and half-space phonon modes contribute more to the polaronic energies than the confined phonon modes. However, for wider quantum wells, the total contribution to the polaronic energy mainly comes from the confined modes. The contributions of the various phonon modes to the transition energy change differently with increasing well width. The contribution of the half-space phonons decreases slowly as the QW width increases, whereas the contributions of the confined and interface phonons reach a maximum at d ≈ 5.0 nm and then decrease slowly. However, the total contribution of phonon modes to the transition energy is negative and increases gradually with the QW width of d.As the composition x increases, the total contribution of phonons to the ground state energies increases slowly, but the total contributions of phonons to the transition energies decrease gradually. We analyze the physical reasons for these behaviors in detail.展开更多

The linear and nonlinear optical absorption coefficients between the ground (L =0) and the first excited state (L = 1) have been examined based on the computed energies and wave functions. Since these schemes can be straightforwardly implemented only using local operations without teleportation procedure, therefore, less physical resources and simpler operations are required than the existing schemes. A numerical calculation of a freestanding wurtzite GaN/AlN QWR is performed. The results reveal that for a relatively large azimuthal quantum number m or wave-number kz in the free z-direction, there exist two branches of IO phonon modes localized at the interface, and only one branch of SO mode localized at the surface in the system. The degenerating behaviours of the IO and SO phonon modes in the wurtzite QWR have also been clearly observed for a small kz or m. The limiting frequency properties of the IO and SO modes for large kz and m have been explained reasonably from the mathematical and physical viewpoints. The calculations of electron-phonon coupling functions show that the high-frequency IO phonon branch and SO mode play a more important role in the electron phonon interaction.展开更多

The found results indicate that ILF can ensure a vital influence on the shape and height of the confined potential profile of both SSQWs and GSQWs, and alterations of the dipole moment matrix elements and the energy levels are adhered on the profile of the confined potential. According to the results, the potential profile and height of the GSQWs are affected more significantly by ILF intensity compared to SSQWs. These results indicate that NOR, SHG and THG coefficients of SSQWs and GSQWs may be calibrated in a preferred energy range and the magnitude of the resonance peak(RP) by tuning the ILF parameter. It is feasible to classify blue or red shifts in RP locations of NOR, SHG and THG coefficients by varying the ILF parameter. Our results can be useful in investigating new ways of manipulating the opto-electronic properties of semiconductor QW devices.展开更多

文摘We theoretically investigate the optical absorption coefficient(OAC)in asymmetrical Gaussian potential quantum dots subject to an applied electric field.Confined wave functions together with energies of electron energies in an effective mass approximation framework are obtained. The OAC is expressed according to the iterative method and the compact-density-matrix approach.Based on our results,OAC is sensitively dependent on external electric field together with the incident optical intensity.Additionally, peak shifts into greater energy as the quantum dot radius decrease. Moreover, the parameters of Gaussian potential have a significant influence on the OAC.

文摘The polar interface optical (IO) and surface optical (SO) phonon modes and the corresponding Froehlich electron phonon-interaction Hamiltonian in a freestanding multi-layer wurtzite cylindrical quantum wire (QWR) are derived and studied by employing the transfer matrix method in the dielectric continuum approximation and Loudon's uniaxial crystal model. The calculations of electron-phonon coupling functions show that the high-frequency IO phonon branch and SO mode play a more important role in the electron phonon interaction.
文摘For square-step quantum wells(SSQWs) and graded-step quantum wells(GSQWs), the nonlinear optical rectification(NOR), second harmonic generation(SHG) and third harmonic generation(THG) coefficients under an intense laser field(ILF) are analyzed. Our results can be useful in investigating new ways of manipulating the opto-electronic properties of semiconductor QW devices.
