Hardware improvements of in-vessel soft X-ray cameras and the development of tomographic software have made detailed and visual studies of soft X-ray emission possible in HL-2A. Several algorithms are employed in order to get as detail as possible in the images while keeping the guiding assumptions to a minimum. Recently success has been achieved in applying a 2D peeling away algorithm for tomographic reconstruction of LHD bolometric data jointly under the China-Japan collaboration. The data analysed so far have been used to study magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) instabilities on HL-2A tokamak and radiation losses on LHD.展开更多

The time required for an impurity species to establish equilibrium is proved to be sensitively dependent on the plasma electron temperature, and it is strongly correlated with the ionization state distribution during equilibrium establishment of impurity species, It is found from simulation results that the residence parameter plays an important role in the enhancement of radiation losses of plasma.展开更多

Continuum and line emissions are taken into account. The radiative transfer of each line is calculated by means of an escape factor depending on the shape and broadening of the line. Assuming a cylindrical, homogeneous, and isothermal plasma, the net emission coefficient is calculated for different pressures between 1 atm and 10 atm and arc radia of 0 mm to 1 mm. Results show that the argon presence in the CH4-Ar mixture has a significant effect on the total radiation emitted for the temperature above 17,000 K and the results for pure argon agree with those of BAUDER and EVANS.展开更多

The study is performed by means of a vector network analyzer, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, a vibrating sample magnetometer and x-ray powder diffraction. Ba2Mg2Fe12O22 hexaferrite shows radiation loss of -37.25dB (99.999% loss) at frequency 9.81 GHz, which can be attributed to its high value of saturation magnetization, i.e., 22.08emu/g. Moreover, we obtain that magnetic properties have strong influence on the radiation losses.展开更多

The detector is characterized by compact structure, fast temporal response (〈0.5 s) and flat spectral sensitivity in the range from ultra-violet to X-ray. Two 16-channel AXUV arrays are installed in EAST to view the whole poloidal cross-section of plasma. Based on the diagnostic system, typical radiation distributions for both limiter and divertor plasma are obtained and compared. As divertor detachment occurs, the radiation distribution in X-point region is observed to vary distinctly. The total radiation power losses in discharges with different plasma parameters are briefly analyzed.展开更多

A new low-loss, large-angle Y-junction hybrid polymer optical coupler with an integrated microprism has been fabricated and demonstrated experimentally for use in a mixed-signal module environment. The results show that the radiation loss is small with relatively wide branching angle as compared to a conventional Y-junction coupler.展开更多
