With the uniform map, a chaotic orbit and a sequence orbit obtained are topologically equivalent to each other so the map can preserve the most dynamic properties of chaotic systems such as permutation entropy. Based on the uniform map, a universal algorithm to generate pseudo random numbers is proposed and the pseudo random series is tested to follow the standard 0-1 random distribution both theoretically and experimentally. The algorithm is not complex, which does not impose high requirement on computer hard ware and thus computation speed is fast. The method not only extends the parameter spaces but also avoids the drawback of small function space caused by constraints on chaotic maps used to generate pseudo random numbers. The algorithm can be applied to any chaotic system and can produce pseudo random sequence of high quality, thus can be a good universal pseudo random number generator.展开更多

The parameters were recorded by 27 accelerometer stations. Simulation of strong ground motion is very useful for areas about which little information and data are available. Considering the distribution of earthquake records and the existing relationships, for the fault plane causing the September 27, 2010 Kazeron Earthquake the length of the fault along the strike direction and the width of the fault along the dip direction were determined to be 10 km and 7 km, respectively. Moreover, 10 elements were assumed along the length and 7 were assumed along the width of the plane. Research results indicated that the epicenter of the earthquake had a geographic coordination of 29.88N - 51.77E, which complied with the results reported by the Institute of Geophysics Tehran University (IGTU). In addition, the strike and dip measured for the fault causing the Kazeron Earthquake were 27 and 50 degrees, respectively. Therefore, the causing fault was almost parallel to and coincident with the fault. There are magnetic discontinuities on the analytical signal map with a north-south strike followed by a northwest-southeast strike. The discontinuities are consistent with the trend of Kazeron fault but are several kilometers away from it. Therefore, they show the fault depth at a distance of 12 km from the fault surface.展开更多

Three advanced machine learning methods, namely, gradient boosting decision tree(GBDT), random forest(RF) and information value(InV) models, were used, and the performances were assessed and compared. In total, 202 landslides were mapped by using a series of field surveys, aerial photographs, and reviews of historical and bibliographical data. Nine causative factors were then considered in landslide susceptibility map generation by using the GBDT, RF and InV models. All of the maps of the causative factors were resampled to a resolution of 28.5 m. Of the 486289 pixels in the area,28526 pixels were landslide pixels, and 457763 pixels were non-landslide pixels. Finally, landslide susceptibility maps were generated by using the three machine learning models, and their performances were assessed through receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curves, the sensitivity, specificity, overall accuracy(OA), and kappa coefficient(KAPPA). The results showed that the GBDT, RF and In V models in overall produced reasonable accurate landslide susceptibility maps. Among these three methods, the GBDT method outperforms the other two machine learning methods, which can provide strong technical support for producing landslide susceptibility maps in TGR.展开更多

Genetic analyses of dynamic traits are usually conducted in one of two ways. One is to treat phenotypic values collected at different time points as repeated measurements of the same trait, which are analyzed in the framework of multivariate theory. Alternatively, a growth curve may be fit to the phenotypes at multiple time points and inference can be made through the parameters of the growth trajectories. The latter has been used in QTL mapping for developmental traits and resulted in an appearance of the functional mapping strategy. Aiming at the disadvantages of functional mapping strategy, we propose to replace the nonlinear and non-additive model biological meaningful by the orthogonal polynomial or B-Spline model to fit dynamic curves with arbitrary shape and analyze arbitrary complicated data, and the constant residual covariance matrix by the alterable one calculated by using auto-correlation function to deal with discrepancies in measurement schedule of phenotype among progenies. A novel RRM mapping strategy was developed for mapping QTL of dynamic traits, which performs higher detecting efficiency than functional mapping, especially for detection of multiple QTL, has been proved by our simulations and data analysis. Finally, a simplified and effective mapping strategy was further discussed by integrating functional mapping and RRM mapping strategies.展开更多

This study, taking the Bei'an City, Northeast China as the study area, aims to investigate the potential of GF-1 WFV images for crop identification and explore how to fully use its spectral, textural and temporal information to improve classification accuracy. In doing so, an object-based and Random Forest (RF) algorithm was used for crop mapping. The results showed that classification based on an optimized single temporal GF-1 image can achieve an overall accuracy of about 83%, and the addition of textural features can im- prove the accuracy by 8.14%. Moreover, the multi-temporal GF-1 data can produce a classification map of crops with an overall accuracy of 93.08% and the introduction of textural variables into multi-temporal GF-1 data can only increase the accuracy by about 1%, which suggests the importance of temporal information of GF-1 for crop mapping in comparison with single temporal data. By comparing classification results of GF-1 data with different feature inputs, it is concluded that GF-1 WFV data in general can meet the mapping efficiency and accuracy requirements of regional crop. But given the unique spectral characteristics of the GF-1 WFV imagery, the use of textual and temporal information is needed to yield a satisfactory accuracy.展开更多

Due to DNA sequences owning natural randomness, in order to show DNA’s characteristics intuitively, this paper proposes a method to present DNA sequences as conjugate maps. The method includes two core models: measuring models to transfer DNA data into measurements, and visual models to test random sequences as distribution maps to show DNA’s characteristics. The spatial relations between sample DNA and CA random sequences are illustrated and compared in the end. The results show that the distribution of DNA sequences and CA random sequences has significant differences and similarities. It can provide a reference for in-depth visualization study of DNA sequences on their measurement maps.展开更多

The binary sequences b1b2b3···bn are obtained according to the user key, in which the binary sequence 0 and 1 denote distribution mode of processors and the number of binary sequence n denotes cycle number. Then the pseudorandom 2D matrix is generated by 2D-Logistic map, and adaptive segmentation is applied in image matrix and pseudorandom matrix according to the value and the number of binary sequence. The parallel operation is used among blocks to improve efficiency and meet real-time demand in transmission processes. However, the pixel permutation is applied in partitioned matrix through ergodic matrix generated by pseudo-random matrix-block to decrease the correlation of adjacent pixels. Then the pixel substitution is used for fully diffusing through cipher block chaining mode until n cycles. The proposed algorithm can meet the three requirements of parallel operation in image encryption and the real-time requirement in transmission processes. The security is proved by theoretical analysis and simulation results.展开更多
