In an aqueous medium with pH value in the range of 3.29—3.78, electrostatic attraction occurs between the negatively charged Evans Blue(EB) and positively charged proteins, forming hydrophobic ion associates and resulting in EB-protein adsorption on H_2O/CCl_4 interface. The presence of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide prompts this adsorption, resulting in strongly enhanced TIR-RLS signals. The intensity of the enhanced TIR-RLS at 360—370 nm was found to be proportional to the concentration of proteins. For bovine serum albumin and human serum albumin, the linear range of detection is 0.07—1.2 μg/mL and the limits of detection are 6.68 and 6.30 ng/mL(3σ), respectively, while for lysozyme, the linear range of detection is 0.06—1.0 μg/mL and the limit of detection is 6.0 ng/mL(3σ). The content of the total albumin in a human urine sample could be directly determined by using the standard addition method with a percent recovery of 97.6%—104.1%, and the RSD ranging from 1.9% to 4.2%.展开更多

Previous studies have characterized the magnetic minerals present in ordinary and carbonaceous chondrites, providing information on the evolution of magnetic fields. The interaction of organic compounds with magnetic minerals is a possible source of chemical diversity, which is crucial for molecular evolution. Carbon compounds in meteorites are of great scientific interest for a variety of reasons, such as their relevance to the origins of chirality in living organisms. This study presents the characterization of organic and mineral compounds in the Allende meteorite. The structural and physicochemical characterization of the Allende meteorite was accomplished through light microscopy, powder X-ray diffraction with complementary Rietveld refinement, Raman and infrared spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, scanning electron microscopy, and atomic force microscopy using magnetic signal methods to determine the complex structure and the interaction of organic compounds with magnetic Ni-Fe minerals. The presence of Liesegang-like patterns of chondrules in fragments of the Allende structure may also be relevant to understanding how the meteorite was formed. Other observations include the presence of magnetic materials and nanorod-like solids with relatively similar sizes as well as the heterogeneous distribution of carbon in chondrules. Signals observed in the Raman and infrared spectra resemble organic compounds such as carbon nanotubes and peptide-like molecules that have been previously reported in other meteorites, making the Mexican Allende meteorite a feasible sample for the study of the early Earth and exoplanetary bodies.展开更多

The layer is a part of the laser dye solution, which is in optical contact with the bottom of optical cylindrical cell, the shape of which determines the geometric shape of the exciting layer. Homogeneous excitation of this layer by the second harmonic of the Nd+: YAG (λ = 532 nm) laser is realized. Circular, plane-directed radiation, with a small, vertical, divergence was obtained from the edges of the excited layer. Is investigated experimentally the spectral and spatial characteristics of radiation. Excitation of the layer was performed from the side of the cuvette bottom. It turned out that within the concentrations of the dye in the solution from 0.12 to 0.03 wt%, the following processes are observed: 1) Plane-directed radiation, with a small vertical divergence, uniform in intensity, around the optical cell in the plane of the luminescent layer;2) An increase in the amplitude of radiation pulses with a decrease in the concentration of the dye in the solution;3) Shifting of the maximum of the emission spectrum to the short-wave region, significant narrowing of the radiation spectrum and decrease of the vertical divergence of radiation.展开更多

By using the unit vectors denoting the planes of constant field amplitude and constant phase respectively, the light propagation and attenuation are described by the effective refractive indices which depend on both the complex refractive index of the medium and the angle between the unit vectors. With the expression for the light propagation, the corresponding Snell's law and the expression of Fresnel coefficients are obtained, which can be applied to describe the reflection-refraction event at the interface between an arbitrary combination of transparent and absorbing media.展开更多

The analytic solution is obtained by asymptotic approximation of a Fourier field integral under the condition of great beam width in comparison with a wavelength (the geometrical-optics approximation). This model can be used also for approximate simulation of refracted field in the cases of beam incidence near the critical angle on transparent or absorbing (amplifying) refracting medium, if one artificially introduces the additional absorption (amplification), whose value is proportional to the ratio of the wavelength and the effective beam width. It is shown that the analytic model reflects the general features of refracted field at total internal reflection.展开更多

By applying Fourier transformation to the recorded spectral interference signal, we retrieve the spectral phase function Ф, which is induced by three parts: the path length difference in air L, the effective thickness of slightly dispersive cube beam splitter Teff and the nonlinear phase function due to multi-reflection of the thin film structure. We utilize the fact that the overall optical path difference (OPD) is linearly dependent on the refractive index of the beam splitter to determine both L and Teff. The spectral phase shift on reflection of thin film structure can be obtained by subtracting these two parts from Ф. We show theoretically and experimentally that our new method can provide a simple and fast solution in calculating the absolute spectral phase function of optical thin films, while still maintaining high accuracy.展开更多
