This paper explores the existential problem in Seize the Day-the conflict between individuals and society in modern society.With a brief introduction of Saul Bellow and the novel,the paper emphasizes the analysis of the conflict and the sources of the conflict.Besides,Saul Bellow uses many rhetorical devices to intensify the conflict.The analysis of these rhetorical devices is beneficial for us to interpret and understand the true meaning of the novel.Through the study of Bellow’s vision and the novel’s metaphorical meaning,we may find an effective solution to the conflict that our human being is involved in,and realize the social values of this novel.

Challenges and Possibilities for the Household Medicine Lease （HML） System Viewed in Light of CRM： HML-Based Everyday Self-Medication in Ubiquitous Network Society

Household medicine lease （HML） industry originated way back in the Edo period （17C-19C）, when it was promoted by the local fiefdom government to revitalize the economy. Accumulations of wealth, acquired thereafter from everywhere outside the region, have culminated in the formation of the present-day industrial cluster in Toyama, the largest in the whole area facing the Sea of Japan. Today an adaptation of the quasi-CRM （customer relationship management） business model of the HML system has proved to be a success in Mongolia. This fact seems to offer the authors some clues for dealing with those problems that healthcare and medical services in Japan and elsewhere are riddled with. In this paper, focusing on the common critical success factors （CSFs） behind the success of the authors＇ prototype HML system and its recent successful application in Mongolia, the authors will analyze these factors from the perspective of CRM. The authors will then clarify the following： （1） the usefulness of the business model for ensuring primary healthcare for people in developing countries; （2） the usefulness in our ubiquitous network society of applying ICT to the HML system; （3） possible contributions that the use of the system can make toward improving the quality of our everyday healthcare and medical services in our prominently aging society; and the authors will also suggest （4） the importance of elevating ＂individual self-medication＂ to ＂community-based self-medication＂.

Updating conventional soil maps by mining soil–environment relationships from individual soil polygons

Conventional soil maps contain valuable knowledge on soil–environment relationships.Such knowledge can be extracted for use when updating conventional soil maps with improved environmental data.Existing methods take all polygons of the same map unit on a map as a whole to extract the soil–environment relationship.Such approach ignores the difference in the environmental conditions represented by individual soil polygons of the same map unit.This paper proposes a method of mining soil–environment relationships from individual soil polygons to update conventional soil maps.The proposed method consists of three major steps.Firstly,the soil–environment relationships represented by each individual polygon on a conventional soil map are extracted in the form of frequency distribution curves for the involved environmental covariates.Secondly,for each environmental covariate,these frequency distribution curves from individual polygons of the same soil map unit are synthesized to form the overall soil–environment relationship for that soil map unit across the mapped area.And lastly,the extracted soil–environment relationships are applied to updating the conventional soil map with new,improved environmental data by adopting a soil land inference model(SoLIM)framework.This study applied the proposed method to updating a conventional soil map of the Raffelson watershed in La Crosse County,Wisconsin,United States.The result from the proposed method was compared with that from the previous method of taking all polygons within the same soil map unit on a map as a whole.Evaluation results with independent soil samples showed that the proposed method exhibited better performance and produced higher accuracy.

Robot’s living space Human-robot relationship Robot humanization Hybrid intelligence Human-robot integrated society Robots,as the creation of humans,became an irreplaceable component in human society.With the advancement of technologies,robots have become more and more intelligent and have been widely used in many fields,such as disease diagnosis,customer services,healthcare for the older people,and so on.As robots made our lives much more convenient than ever before,they also brought many potential risks and challenges in technology,security,and ethic.To better understand the development of robots,we proposed a concept of a robot’s living space and analyzed the role of robots in our society.In this paper,we focus on setting a theoretical framework of the robot’s living space to further understand the human-robot relationship.The research in this paper contains three central aspects.First,we interpret the concept of the robot’s living space and the functions of each space.Second,we analyze and summarize the relative technologies which support robots living well in each space.Finally,we provide advice and improvement measures based on a discussion of potential problems caused by the developments of robots.With the trend of robots humanization and human-robot society integration,we should seriously consider how to collaborate with intelligent robots to achieve hybrid intelligence.To build a harmonious human-robot integrated society,studying the robot’s living space and its relationship with humans is the prerequisite and roadmap.

In social relations, individualism asserts its influence om many aspects such as morality, ethics, or financial matters. Also individualism reflects a continuous frontier between the individual and the cultural. For being self-reliance, Americans approve self-motivation,which in the sense of long-range goals, as well as for a specific and immediate task.

老年人数字鸿沟的弥合:家庭代际关系的信息功能及其实现

功能运行良好的家庭可以在一定程度上应对社会不平等及福利制度不足带来的负面影响。在信息社会和老龄社会叠加的背景下,由于信息技术不平等和数字鸿沟的阻隔,年长一代的信息权力被弱化甚至遭到剥夺。面对功能复杂的智能设备,老年人获取信息的第一步便被阻断,设备接入后的信息获取、解码与辨别更是老年人面临的难题,而家庭代际支持在帮助老年人克服数字鸿沟和融入信息社会方面发挥着重要作用。研究基于对19位60岁及以上老年人的访谈,结果发现老年人面临的数字鸿沟受到主观和客观两方面因素的影响,主观上的强风险意识与低学习意愿及客观上的设备复杂程度都加深了数字鸿沟;子辈则通过设备操作的教学与替代、信息的分享与解码等帮助老年人弥合数字鸿沟,体现了信息社会中家庭代际关系的新福利功能。

空间视域下思想政治教育一体化的概念、内容及建设

社会发展和社会变迁深刻影响着空间格局,空间成为解析社会现象、反映社会思想观念变化的重要理论和实践场域。空间与社会的互动使人的发展、社会的发展空间趋向合理化,使空间变革愈加富有社会化特质。人的思想观念、情感体验、行为实践、社会关系在一定的空间当中被塑造和完善,空间在思想政治教育一体化的作用下逐渐具有思想政治教育意蕴。在阐释空间视域下思想政治教育一体化的概念、分析其内容的基础上提出空间视域下思想政治教育一体化建设思路和举措:实现社会主流意识形态的广泛传播,在对空间的占有当中筑牢思想政治教育一体化的基础;掌握变革社会的力量,通过对空间主体的培养塑造凝聚思想政治教育一体化的主体力量;促进人与社会关系的和谐,通过对空间关系的协调把握思想政治教育一体化的关键。

新时代我国竞技体育发展中政社关系改革的几点思考

为更好适应新时代社会主要矛盾变化,建构我国竞技体育发展新格局,采用文献资料法和访谈法对我国竞技体育发展中政社关系改革问题进行分析。认为,我国竞技体育发展中强政府、弱社会的发展惯性仍需进一步打破,社会自组织的发展能力有待提高,政府管理的角色和职能亟需转变。新时代我国竞技体育发展需重视政社关系改革,从强政府、弱社会转变为强政府、大社会发展格局,政府引导社会力量有序发展,并与社会力量合作构建多元治理机制。具体包括:深化“放管服”改革,竞技体育“举国体制”继续做减法;社会力量加强自身建设,在更多领域发挥更大作用;依据经济发展的阶段性特征,有针对性地扶持社会力量成长;根据参与类别,对社会力量发展提供差异化的帮扶;做好市场监管,引导、规范社会力量成长;积极推进政府元治理、行业自治和多元共治。

经济社会与生态用水平衡计算规则与方法

从平衡的概念出发,针对经济社会与生态用水竞争问题,提出了经济社会与生态用水平衡的概念,并论述了其内涵及特性;构建了经济社会与生态用水平衡计算规则框架,包括遵循四大规律、基于六大理论、考虑六大因素、符合三大准则;提出了经济社会与生态用水平衡的计算思路,包括资料处理、量化计算、结果检验3个步骤,并给出了其计算方法和计算结果表征方式。以2019年沁河流域为例,量化了流域经济社会与生态用水平衡;在求解一次平衡点以及经济社会用水刚性约束、生态用水刚性约束、综合效益刚性约束条件下平衡结果的基础上,综合考虑六大因素以及总需水量与水资源总量关系,确定了沁河流域经济社会与生态用水平衡点,即经济社会用水与生态用水的比例为0.71∶0.29。

数字技术重塑社交格局:逻辑机制与现实挑战

社会交往指社会成员或个体之间基于持续的信息收发、接触、试探、沟通乃至互动而形成相对稳定的行为模式以及交换与往来关系的过程。从微观、中观和宏观的层面来看,社会交往对个体与社会都有着重要的意义。基于工具性、情感性和结构性的逻辑机制,以“产消播合一”为内核的数字技术,通过新业态、新模式和新理念重塑着当今时代的社会交往格局。数字技术的发展,突破了行为者的时空区域、身体所在、地位阶层等物理性和社会性因素对社会交往的局限,极大地拓展了社会交往的可能性,也让网络世界进入了“后真相时代”。但是,现实挑战亦如影随形,一系列社会交往的分割现象正在凸显“社会个体化”,如梦如幻的媒介和亦真亦假的信息容易被别有用心的人恶意利用。这些现实挑战,需要通过整个社会全面倡导更具平等导向、更加开放包容的社会交往文化,强化对行为主体现实辨析能力、现象质疑能力、逻辑推理能力和自我反思能力的培养等措施来应对。

新时代我国竞技体育发展中社会和市场力量的作用及改革策略

运用文献资料法和逻辑分析法,分析新时代我国竞技体育发展中的社会和市场力量主体类别、各自发挥的作用及改革策略。指出,竞技体育发展中社会和市场主体主要为家庭、学校、民办非企业体育单位、体育企业、枢纽型体育社会组织,呈现出明显的领域分离和作用互补的特征。在竞技体育发展过程中,家庭发挥着启蒙、引导和支持作用,学校发挥着宣传、培养和拓展作用,民办非企业体育单位发挥着初步专项化发展和分类引流作用,体育企业发挥着高度专业化和定向发展作用,枢纽型体育社会组织发挥着桥梁和纽带作用。为此,应充分发挥枢纽型体育社会组织的引领作用,打造多元主体协同推进的自组织动力链条,构建多元主体优势互补的区域发展微循环。

人际关系对受贿决策的影响——中美跨文化比较

以往研究表明人际关系对腐败行为有重要影响,但不同文化下这种关系效应是否存在差异尚缺乏探讨。通过两个实验分别考察了中美不同文化下直接关系和间接关系对受贿决策的影响。结果发现,一方面,中美两国被试均出现随着关系距离增加受贿概率降低的关系效应;另一方面也表现出文化差异,中国被试的关系效应强于美国被试,而且风险对于关系效应的文化差异有显著的调节作用。上述结果支持人际关系距离对受贿决策的影响同时存在跨文化的一致性和差异性。

我国保障性住房建设新模式与政策应对:基于政府—市场—社会关系演进的视角

保障性住房建设是解决住房民生问题、促进社会经济健康发展的重要举措。当前,在房地产市场供求关系发生重大变化及其带来政府财政负担这一宏观社会经济背景下,结合国家层面“加快构建房地产发展新模式、加大保障性住房建设和供给”这一住房保障理念,从政府—市场—社会关系视角,梳理我国保障性住房建设的阶段性特征,讨论我国住房建设面临的实践挑战,并进一步提出应从政府—市场—社会关系再调整视角,以多元合作共建模式予以应对。具体包括:在城市更新与乡村振兴等国家战略推进背景下多路并举统筹解决保障性住房短缺难题,创新规划管制举措以激励多主体充分参与住房保障建设与住区治理,完善土地财税金融法律等配套政策以保障住房市场有序运行等。

高校师德师风现实困境、发生逻辑与破解之道(笔谈)

师德师风建设是高校立德树人工作的核心,是培养德才兼备的高素质人才的重要保障,也是高校内涵式发展的必然要求。然而高校师德师风恶性事件频发,危机个案反映出系统性困境——导师与学生关系异化。高校研究生导师责任制强化了导师第一责任人地位,为导师带来“无限”责任的同时,也赋予其“无限”权力,为“剥削”的产生提供可能。同时,身处“被资本化”的教育环境与文凭社会,导师违背利益交换规则的低成本以及学生对于文凭的渴望与需求为学术压榨的出现提供了机会。导师本就在“知识-权力”话语体系中处于强势地位,知识权力缺乏监管,职业道德缺乏约束等都成为高校教师师德失范的重要因素。在未来,高校师德师风建设应回归到“忠恕之道”的文化视野,以制度构建明确导师责任边界,建立健全高校师德评价监督机制,增强高校教师师德透明度,增加师德失范成本,如此高校导生关系方能风清气正。

个体借贷关系网络特征与违约研究——来自互联网融资平台的证据

本研究应用复杂网络分析方法研究了互联网融资平台个体借贷关系网络特征与借款人违约问题.提出了融资平台个体借贷关系网络的构建方法,构建了互联网借贷平台人人贷个体借贷关系网络,刻画了该网络的整体特征以及违约借款人群体和不同信用等级借款人群体、纯投资者群体构成的子网络特征.揭示了借款人和投资者的行为选择规律.分析了借款人网络拓扑特征与借款信息的相关性,构建了借款人违约与借款人网络拓扑特征、借款信息的三个回归模型.研究发现:构造的网络拓扑特征对于个体借贷关系结构具有很强的解释力;借款人节点的网络拓扑特征与借款人的违约存在显著相关关系,且这种关系在不同属性借款人群体中也具有稳健性;研究结果能够用于各类互联网融资平台借款人信用风险评估及违约预测.
